Hi, I'm having a very hard time with this uselessly annoying minigame, I've already wasted 2 hours trying to score 2800 points, so I'm amazed nobody asked for help, it usually means I'm missing something. I can manage to score above 2500 points if I stay at minigame level 5, if I reach level 8 or 9 at some point enemies stop dropping volley shots, they scatter and can't kill them in large groups, so in the end the score is way lower than what I can score at level 5. Also it appears a second bar below the combo bar but I still haven't figured out the mechanic behind this. Could someone provide some infos more useful than the few ones provided in the guide?

Yes I'm using this method but on level 5 I can't score enough points before time runs out,  while if I jump at a higher minigame level, let's say level 8 or 9, there's a ton of enemies, but for some reason or bad luck, I get very few volley shots to drop, maybe because I lose track of enemies, which scatter around, things become a mess and in the end my score is crap, maybe I should tailor my score first to reach a level inbetween, maybe 6 or 7.

I've unlocked it, I was missing the fact that only the shelled violet/yellow enemy drops volley shots, so you have to keep that in mind if enemies scatter and you have to target just one. It's been a close call nonetheless.
