Turn based, but not jrpg, engaging but not story heavy, stylish and animated but not childish, complex but not inscrutable, and with a system that is easily learnable, but deep, customisable, and allows for near infinite methods of strategy and situational puzzle solving. It also happens to be one of the best games I have played in a decade or more. I thoroughly recommend.
