Popular Post Heather342
So network issues have been fixed, and I've been able to sync today's trophies (phew!) I decided yesterday to get the mass exodus trophy now, rather than waiting until the end of playthrough 2. I still had a trophy to get called Unstoppable, which was to get through a whole act of the game without any party members being knocked out. I struggled with this on my first run, probably because I was forgetting to upgrade my gear as I went along ?. As I also still have all the collectables trophies to get, I took my new mage character through the first act to get that trophy out the way. I also knocked out the legacy DLC with this character. I didn't do it last time because one of the characters I needed to take on the quest had been killed in the story earlier on. Now with those bits out of the way, I can focus my warrior character on collecting everything, and making pro-templar choices to hopefully get the platinum in the bag. I also need to do one more DLC trophy for Sebastian's loyalty. Trophy progress 60 -> 78%
Popular Post Stanners316
Final update: 1. Sakura Wars - (16th March) 2. King's Quest - (30th March) 3. Zero Time Dilemma - (5th April) 4. A Plague Tale: Innocence - (10th May) 5. Concrete Genie - 95% (13th May) 6. The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker - 0% (25th May) 7. Assassin's Creed Odyssey - 72% 85% 8. PGA Tour 2K21 - 31% 50% (carried over to Summer challenge). I best quickly wrap my challenge up here. I did start The Fate of Atlantis in Assassin's Creed Odyssey but I won't be able to commit enough time to finish it by June. I'll finish it eventually, before I start Valhalla at least. The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker was interesting. I embraced the weirdness of the different character's stories and it was pretty entertaining. Some decent acting to (that type of acting can't be easy). It's spoilt a bit by the need for the platinum though. You can't use a hint for one trophy, but you pretty much need to use hints. I used a hint or 2 before realising that the re-play would be terrible, mainly because you have to type in ALOT of questions manually. I ended up starting again, asking all the questions I could think of and then using a guide for any I missed. Overall it was a pretty good cheapy but I've preferred other FMVs. I'll engage a bit more in the next challenge, with shorter updates weekly etc. I like the whole kind of team effort behind these, it's good to be part of! My game of the challenge - Zero Time Dilemma Special mention - A Plague Tale: Innocence

Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys, I have some free time today so will do my final update today rather than the last day of the event. Whoah! what a couple of months it has been. At the start of the challenge I felt if I could stick to only 10 games I would have no troubles getting through it all, regrettably it's not been that simple with work and health issues affecting both my ability and drive to play. As it stands I've only completed 2/10 games (very close to a third if I can be arsed to do Mercinaries mode on RE8 this weekend) but still feel positive about the event. I've had lots of fun and it plan to, casually, pick up and play all of the uncompleted games from this challenge and hopefully achieve 100% when the time is right. I think this will impact my choices for next challenge, the inner hardcore completionist geek in me wants really deep, 100+ hour involving games to play whilst the tired, poorly and busy father in me wants short and sweet experiences or to just watch lets plays on days when I can't even manage to pick up a controller. MidnightDragon
Almost got through May without earning any trophies. Started Afrika. I got a hold of it when it was more reasonably priced. MidnightDragon
Got some more progress done in Afrika. Almost all of the trophies are story related as far as I can tell. It's an enjoyable game and quite relaxing (mostly), but it's a shame it was never released on the PSN store for more to enjoy. I was worried my platinum hunt was going to be derailed due to small usage of motion controls, but it ended up working out. Tomorrow, going to do more, but have to work in the evening and get up early Tuesday, so probably not as much as usual.
Popular Post Heather342
Final update I am wrapping up this challenge as a success, I just managed to finish off Dragon Age 2 and earned platinum and 100%. I spent pretty much all day yesterday combing through all the areas to make sure I didn't miss any collectables for the supplier trophy, that was the most annoying trophy in the game as the resources are so easy to miss. General thoughts of the game overall...it was only ok. I enjoyed it initially at the start, but the story in this one was not as strong as Origins. The scenery was also kinda dull, varying shades of brown, and pretty much every cave or dungeon layout was exactly the same, just blocked off different corridors which got very boring after a while. I enjoyed the DLCs Legacy and Mark of the Assassin. This was the first time I've taken part in one of these challenges and I've really enjoyed it. It's been a good way to keep on track, sharing progress updates and also enjoyed reading everyone else's challenge stories ? I have signed up for the summer challenge with another 5 games, although I have some upcoming milestones I've been planning for a while, so need to knock those out first. I've been saving the Persona 5 platinum as my trophy 3000 milestone, and then planning The Witcher 3 as my 50th platinum (I've included this game in my summer challenge lineup). Congrats to everyone on all the progress you've made this last 3 months, and look forward to seeing all your updates in future challenges ? - Assassin's Creed Revelations - 26 -> 100% - Spirit of the North - 0 -> 100% - Cuphead - 14 -> 100% - Hitman 3 - 16 -> 100% - Dragon Age 2 - 37 -> 100% Swaps used (1/2)
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Am I Daniel Day Lewis at the end of There Will Be Blood?? Because I'm finished!! Unsurprisingly, Rachel Foster was a solid recommendation. Played it in the dark with zero knowledge of the story beforehand as suggested and it was a fantastic experience. Wonderfully creepy, well paced, and a great examination of how easily horrible things can happen when people lose control of themselves - I'd cite the numerous examples, but y'know, spoilers n shit. I'm similarly glad to have added Gris, which is as absurdly gorgeous as advertised. It bursts with imagination (cue South Park singing, "immaaaAAA-AAAAA-giinaaaAAAAtiioooon") and I love the idea of trying to piece together a person within the person themselves. Also I'm really feelin these indie games that have the dimensions of something you could've played back in the day on a 16 bit console, but with those big, beautiful current gen capabilities - playing this has pushed the likes of Ruiner, Hotline Miami, and Broforce further up in my backlog... in spite of the fact that it's obviously the only thing Gris has in common with any of those! Aside from Res 2's No Way Out scenario, Uncharted's Brutal playthrough, and my baffling struggle through the Overcooked 2 dlc, everything came much easier than anticipated. Definitely made the right call with Fallout 4 (barely made it to 50%! Sheesh!) and am happy with my final two games.. especially since with my hectic schedule, even finishing THOSE proved to be a bit of a buzzer beater. Good luck to y'all doing the Summer challenge! I had a lot of fun with you guys, keepin up on everybody's progress and sharing my own. As I've said before, I need a bit of a break, but I'll definitely be back in the winter? 1. I'll do some hands on later if I'm in the mood. I'll finish it one of these days! Anyway, thanks for participating as always and hope you have fun. Summer challenge starts tomorrow. Popular Post DFuzed
So end of the month has come again and the final month on the challenge. Lots done in this month too, especially in the last week. First, thanks to @MidnightDragon for hosting this I'm enjoying this challenge and planning to keep doing these challenges for the foreseeable future. With that said, now it's time to recap what games I've played this month: Nier Replicant - quick update: got the plat yesterday. My speed run in this game was done early on and used that save for my continuous save. It means I missed all of the cut scenes and quite a few of the Act 1 quests. Took three runs overall (with a save reused for the fourth ending) with time spent grinding for weapon materials and gardening for the Lunar Flower (got two to appear when they finally did). The last couple days were mostly waiting for the Flower alone why playing other games. Enjoyed the extra chapter at the end of the game. I also realized that I played two games back to back that had me fight twins in boss battles. Enjoyed the game overall. Persona 5 - I only had one trophy before I plat this and the plan was to use it as a milestone. So at Plat 275 I hit it and...nothing. Guess they don't have a milestone for that. Anyways I finished the second run, focusing on maxing out the Confidants and clearing out the trophies I missed the first playthrough, such as reading all the books and playing all the games, doing the trophies that were only available in the second playthrough and leaving the trophy for unlocking all Personas until last. And, since I was so close to the end of the game, I decided to finish the second playthrough and get the completed save for it as well as a save so I could see all of the final romance endings. I am contemplating playing Persona 5 Royal in the future just because I enjoyed this game thoroughly. Lego The Hobbit (Vita) - My Lego fix for the time lol. Just took time to finish, especially on the World Map parts. Luckily there was plenty of information online on the stuff I was having trouble with; usually all information is focused on the console version of the game, but there was specific information about the places I was stuck on. Was worried about not getting the game 100% done like other Lego games on the Vita but once I knew where to go it wasn't so bad World End Syndrome - I haven't played a Visual Novel in a long time and, between the challenge date coming up soon and wanting to play something over the week off, I decided to pick this up as a change of pace. I came interested in it after finally sitting down and playing it as sometimes I hesitate playing such games. Either it's great like Steins Gate or really bad. Fortunately it was a good overall game with a decent story and filling plot twist. I did follow a walkthrough for this, although it took some searching for the right one. Looking forward to seeing the sequel they hint at at the end. Licky the Lucky Lizard - Like WES above, I wanted something to play while on vacation and that I knew I could finish. But also wanted something on my Vita as well. This looked interesting but it helped that it was free to boot. Didn't really take long to finish really but I wasn't looking for a hard game to grind out. It was a fun distraction and played it a little longer after the trophies were done, which rarely happens. I'll keep it on my Vita for a bit and play when I feel like it. Fill-a-pix (PS4) - Finally finished this, partly because I needed to fill out my daily objectives while playing Nier Replicant (some due to that blasted flower) and partly because I wanted to get it over with. Worst part was the trophy for getting hints a thousand times. I ended up doing four or five big puzzles and, once I got it, I just filled the puzzles in grey or black, had the game fix the mistakes and cleared the puzzle. Even worse is I have to still do it on the Vita now. That's it for the final update. See everyone in the new challenge starting tomorrow. Popular Post Hisuiryu
Final Update Well, I figured I'd leave it until the first in case I managed to get any further, but it wasn't meant to be. In the end, I didn't finish Catherine before the end of the month, I've cleared everything except stages 3 & 4 of Babel, which isn't bad going! I said in a previous update I'd be happy to get Catherine to 80-90% by the end of the event, and it's sitting at exactly 90%. I spent some time yesterday trying stage 3, solo my best is about 160/214 which is pretty good. With my partner in pairs mode we got to 120/142 before I did something really stupid but haven't managed to match that again unfortunately (worth saying, my partner hasn't played the game, he's largely following me and moving stuff when I tell him to lol). I tried it myself on pairs with 2 controllers but I really can't play like that, I think I'd have a better chance on solo mode ? Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China - 100% BlazBlue Calamity Trigger - 0% Catherine - 81% > 90% Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS3) - 100% Seasons After Fall - 0% > 100% Final Fantasy Type-0 - 13% htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary - 100% Outland - 100% Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight - 100% Tales of Monkey Island Ch1-5 - 100% (Swaps Used: 1/2) I'm happy with how I did overall, I knew Catherine would be a challenge, and I haven't been trophy hunting as much in the last month and a half so it's fine that I didn't complete 2 games. This even worked well for clearing up some games that have been sat on my account for a while (ACC completed in 5 years, DAI in 4 years, htoL in 2-3ish, Outland in 7) and I had a blast playing them. Looking forward to starting a fresh list for the Summer event, once I've wrapped up Catherine that is!
Popular Post Dzware
Final update: I managed to finish up Lumo just in time (depending on time-zone I guess, but I feel it should count ) The game looked like it had a certain charm to it, so I was hoping I could enjoy it as well, which I sorta did to a certain extent. The fixed camera made it very hard to judge jumps though, which is quite annoying in a platformer, and having 36 highly missable trophies that require constant save scumming (as the game auto saves very frequently) made it quite a bit of a chore. The game could be fun for a casual playtrough, but the plat is only worth it for that sweet sub 1% rarity. Modern Warfare 2 - 50% DOOM 2016 - 33% Injustice: Gods Among Us - 62% Skyrim - 13% inFamous - 7% Catherine - 100% Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time - 100% Mass Effect 3 - 3% Futuridium PS4 - 100% Lumo - 5% --> 100% Limbo - 100% Final count: 5/11 games finished. Not quite as much as I hoped for at the beginning, but still good progress I'd say. Hoping to continue the progress in the summer!
