The trophies are just super annoying, the gameplay is horrible and the online is full of RNG players ranging from those who've already maxed out their characters and somehow spent days with the game to those who don't understand right thumbstick doesn't move the camera and they keep bumping into others. I thought PS5 was hard to come by, turns out they hand them out at playgrounds. Joking aside, it's really counter inuitive. Smart move to make it a free Ps plus game for 2 months. Seems like they're going the games as service route, which is fine if it's going to be free. But I just wonder what the price tag is going to be after it gets removed off Ps Plus. Since I got the platinum already, I probably won't be touching this game for awhile lol. This game looks like the type of game that Fortnite players would play so... you’ve got a mix of innocent 4 year olds and teenagers + young adults who yell at them and the tryhards. Well, if you want to get technical, we were getting 2 PS4 games and are now getting 2 PS4 games and a PS5 game for the exact same price, so the PS5 game, which is Destruction AllStars this month, is objectively free no matter what way you want to present it. JD-D2 Posted February 3, 2021 Share Posted February 3, 2021 (edited) this game is fine. not as good as rocket league, but few games are. there are kids playing it, sure, but most of the chat i’ve heard in-game has been fine as well. it’s simple and fun, something you’d pick up for a half-hour after work and then put down. it’s colorful, big deal. and we have no clue if they’re going back to charging $70 after the two months. all the microtransaction stuff has no pay-to-win effect whatsoever either way (if anything, i wish they gave more distinct skins). i truly don’t understand the hate boner most capital-G Gamers have for this thing. the trophy list, however, is a nightmare. going to be a fairly prestigious plat, i reckon. EDIT: That being said, I agree with @Gewurzratte, unless he bought PS+ with the specific intention of getting the monthly games (which it doesn't sound like, it's just kind of an added bonus to the online multiplayer)... I think it fits the bill as "free". Not a whole lot different than Fortnite being called free when you had to buy a Playstation to play it. Splitting hairs here.
