Mentioned this before in the trophy thoughts thread but if you're struggling with certain trials involving fighting multiple/boss characters, the AI is particularly weak to Heidern. Heidern's charge d-u kick leaping grab is unblockable and the AI is quite prone to just getting hit by it. Sometimes you may need to throw a charge b-f P fireball to keep them grounded and distracted but it can allow you to beat the more demanding Challenge fights like all NESTS Executives or vs O. Rugal.

Hey all!

I thought I should contribute to this thread also with some expert challenge tips  since most challenges can be done with macros (available on the the internet), I will only cover tips for those challenges where you have to legit beat the characters in the mission. Basically Expert Missions 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

 

Mission 10 - defeat 6 opponents with a 99 count!

As the mission says, you have to defeat 6 random opponents before the timer expires, you have unlimited health. The main issue here is that you will also get a random character each fight. In my opinion this is the hardest mission out of all, since it's purely RNG and some characters simply suck in this game. 

To succesfully complete this mission you need to know a basic combo and a bit of luck.

• Restart if your first fight is as the following characters: Athena, Angel, Whip, Choi, Yamazaki, Hinako, May Lee. These characters are either too complex to deal damage quickly (Athena, Angel) or simply suck (Choi) so it's best to restart if you randomly select one of these.
• Restart if your first fight is VERSUS these characters: Kyo, Iori, Mature, Kensou, K', Kula, Chang, May Lee. Simply put, the chance of these characters piledriving you in the very first match and making you lose precious seconds is very high. Best to restart if you are to fight against them in the very first match.
• Characters that deal a great amount of damage via Dragon Punch motion (➡️⬇️↘️ + any punch): Kyo, Terry, Robert, Yuri, K', Shingo, Kyo clones (all 3 of them). If you pick one of these characters, you have to air SP, regular SP, DP. Example: As Kyo, do ↗️, when landing and then ➡️⬇️↘️. Mashing is allowed, you will do big amounts of damage.
• Characters that deal a great amount of damage via Fireball motion (⬇️↘️➡️ + punch/kick): Benimaru, Iori, Mature, Vice, Ryo, Athena, Kensou, Bao, Maxima, Chin, King, Mai. If you get any of these characters, see first which of their fireball input is most optimal then do the same combo as above but with Fireball instead of Dragon Punch.
• Rest of the cast - Jump ,  or  when landing - unless you are proficient with the rest of the characters, it's easiest to do a regular air strong attack comboed into a normal strong attack.
• DO NOT USE SWEEPS UNLESS YOU HAVE A TIME ADVANTAGE (⬇️+): Since they knockdown the opponent, you will lose seconds.
• Always save 3 meters for a MAX desperation move. It does way more damage.
• Special character: Ramon - Spam  with him. Not sure why, it stunlocks the AI most of the time.

MISSION 10 VIDEO - had some fails but in the end I got lucky and picked Kyo.

 

Mission 16 + Defeat Goenitz and Geese. You can only inflict damage when the TIME is a multiple of 3.

 

Another stupid mission, you have to defeat 2 annoying bosses, you have 60 seconds to do so and you can only inflict damage when the timer is a multiple of 3. So any of these (and yes, I had to check them too, maths be damned):

3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36,39,42,45,48,51,54,57

 

My character of choice was Ryo because he has one absurd combo, jump punch, neutral punch into hurricane kick. Also his Haoh Shohoken fireball does respectable amounts of damage.

So if you wish to try my method, I recommend inputting this Macro for Ryo: 

 

With this macro, Ryo will hyper short hop and input air punch, punch into hurricane kick. All that's left is timing this macro to hit the opponent when the timer is a multiple of 3.

Why this macro is better than expected - if you time it right, this macro lasts for roughly 3 seconds. So if you input this macro at second 58, the combo will hit Goenitz for the entirety of second 57 and after the recovery you can press the macro button again, it will hit exactly at second 54.

MISSION 17 - Block at the last second, do not get KO'd

 

A mission where you have to insta-block the opponent's attack. Pressing any button too early or too late will fail the mission.

Luckily here you can use the infamous pause trick to bypass the mission. Pause and resume multiple times and when you see the opponent starting the attack immediately Resume and hold backwards to block.

MISSION 18 - Parry then punish

 

Back to Ryo, you have to defeat your opponent BUT you can inflict damage only after parrying a move with forward+light kick (➡️+).

The easiest way I found is to knockdown the opponent with a sweep, wait for it to wake up, wait half a second then input the move followed by any attack of your choice. Usually the AI wakes up and starts an attack of its own. It's not guaranteed to work(for instance the Kyo clones love to attack low), so it may take some tries.

NOTE: Restart if you are matched against grapplers like Ralf, Clark, Shermie.

MISSION 19+20 - various bosses

 

You will have to face all the NESTS Saga bosses and Nightmare Geese in mission 20. I found the Heidern method from @GiantBiollante to be the best also. Tried with both Daimon and King without success. In the end, fireball into neck snap did the charm for all bosses.

NOTE: Heidern's SDM ⬇️↘️➡️⬇️↘️➡️+ restores life, so use it whenever you are in a pinch!

Who's idea was it to base it entirely around spiteful rng?
