Going for the plat can be a little tedious (the guide I used had a lot of errors/missing info), but the game is a delight. How's the new Sakura Wars game? I enjoyed the Saturn/Dreamcast era titles, but this one looks quite different in terms of presentation and gameplay. Seriously, it has every bit of a wonderful story, from japanese comedy of absurds and goofiness (but not too forced lut) to serious thriller. And that gimmick with manipulating timelines of different characters, delightful. My favourite "ending"? The one with the promise of fighting every single dirt im whole country, I laughed my bottom off ... I was surprised that CS1 is not on sale because it the first one you would get if starting the series. Have had my eye on the Trials of Cold Steel games for awhile but they never seem to drop to a good enough range that I would buy them. I'd like to play the whole series but not pay full price on them. Torn between waiting for the whole series to go on sale again to roll the dice and see if they are offered at better prices, or just go on and buy 2, 3 and 4 now. Do those games go on sale often? Would you recommend waiting? I got like 170+ backlog games now, I've just been trying to scoop up every game I can on sale. Wait or buy... wait or buy... Interesting premise, but ultimately a letdown, and the court stuff (it’s not really a court, but it’s the same idea) is so much weaker than other games in the genre that it’s almost laughable. darkrequiem7 Posted February 11, 2021 Share Posted February 11, 2021 I played Trails of Cold Steel 1 last month and really enjoyed it, but I read that as the series goes on it starts including plot points from the Trails in the Sky games and two Japanese only games, so I'm hesitant to keep going unless I play those earlier games. As a huge fan of the series, I'd say buy them all if you can, or at the very least pick up ToCS 2. I can't recall the last time I've seen the first two games pop up on sale.
