As many other voters already noted, I haven't touched many of these games and have thus not enough information to really gauge their worth. As a guide writer, I can tell you that multimedia content and formatting are the most time consuming thing to get right. Anyone that made a guide because there wasn't another guide available gets an extra hat tip from me. These guides are even more important as PSNP becomes the only source (or leader) for that content (and the naysayers will critique you harder if you get something wrong because you can't confirm it elsewhere!). Lava_Yuki Posted February 23, 2021 Share Posted February 23, 2021 I vote the Persona 4 Golden Platinum Walkthrough, that was an extremely detailed and comprehensive walkthrough for a game that otherwise requires so much time and micro management plus all the missables. It's the only guide online that I've come across that includes everything including quests and is also easy to do on the first playthrough. The author clearly put a lot of time and effort into it, and it's what got me to actually play the game as it was on my shelf for like 6 years otherwise and I probably would have never touched it without this guide. I think it is inferior to previous years. Most of us have probably used 1-2 of the nominated guides, but are still forced to vote on guides that we haven't even seen. And sure, you can quickly check all guides, but it is impossible to gauge how helpful they can be if you haven't used them or at least spent some time with them. I believe that it is still better to have forum members nominate guides, as then you make sure that only (or mostly) guides get nominated that have been used by the member, and the guide team should have spent enough time with each of the nominated guides to be able to really crown the ones that deserve it. I played this game blind first, and then used the guide for the Tactician & Honour Mode playthrough. Had I not spent already a lot of time learning the game without help, I would not have been able to appreciate how fucking unbelievable this guide is. I cannot even imagine how much time the writers put into this incredible walkthrough. There are not many guides out there that reduce the difficulty of a 7/10 game to that of a POWGI game, but holy hell, these two guys actually managed to do so. While some of these guides had some formatting issues that detracted from their readability a bit (which I am prone to doing as well), the time and effort put into them along with editing to images and personal video recordings of the activity really shown them as the right choices for me. It was very important to me to read through every guide for accessibility and vote on the ones that used all of their own original content instead of just linking other creator videos. I am honored to have the opportunity to vote toward them. I cant say that I have used a single one of these guides but if I was to play these titles, I would look into using them. I feel that many of these guides have been given more visibility which may have not happened in any other process and will be used by more users with your nominations.
