Boosting method for those with multiple consoles

12 posts in this topic

I figured I would chime in after my recent experiences jumping back into the MP. If you are in the unique position like I am. I haven’t tested it against the vending machine method. Either way, this method needs a lot less of your active attention. Here’s what it requires ;

6 copies of the game and consoles

please note this game is on ps now for the ps5 (for some reason the ps3 version ONLY shows up on ps5 PSNOW and will not show up on ps4 or PC)

my set up was

5 ps3 and games plus 1 Ps5 with psnow

now you can attempt this with 4 players, you just run the risk of randoms. I would suggest aiming for only DLC maps to avoid as many randoms as possible.

the game mode of choice is Adam grab as other methods have pointed out.

your main account will simply grab the little sister and hold the entire 3:00 to end the match. Making sure to move your alts every 90s or so to avoid idle kicking.

I was able to get 740 xp every 5 min (including loading back into the match after each win) that means you could get 8,880-9620xp an hour this way(depending if loading is fast to get 13th match in hour)

You need 163,000 XP for rebirth trophy, or 97,000 for non dlc level 40. Either way that puts the boost time to 17-18 hours for level 50 and about 10-11 hours for level 40. This may not be the fastest method out there for sure. But it may help someone out there.

side note: I was able to type this post while currently doing this method. Good luck to everyone out there grinding! It is still possible in 2021!

I remember attempting the grind last year and I gave up halfway. It's very long and annoying with randoms, but who just has 5 PS3s laying around?

I don’t have them just laying around. Fortunately I come from a family that all uses PlayStation consoles. I have a brother, and two cousins who all gave their old ps3 to me. I had two myself for boosting. Just using them to boost all the MP I can then giving them back. Since I’m doing it myself, the boosting time is much faster due to not switching people. Plus, I have two kids and a wife. I don’t have the free time as often to successfully have many boosting sessions.

When you plan to self boost, you dont start the topic saying that you need 5 consoles because in that case almost every one on this site cant do it. Thank you for your advise but i see it almost imposible for every one.

That’s a good point. One thing that not the case for this game but can be for others is PSNOW. For example resident evil raccoon city. It’s on PSNOW. Since ps now is on pc, ps4, and ps5. If you happened to own even 2 of the 3 of those. You can self boost. (Ex PSNOW account on pc playing against your alt, on ps4/ps5 streaming PSNOW). For the consoles your alt (if the same region) can play any PSNOW game if you main is primary. Helpful tricks for those struggling to boost dead games.

but for this boosting method , you personally don’t need 5/6 consoles... if you had a friend who already had the trophies, willing to idle for you, that would also work.

while it’s not likely people have this set up, some one out there might. And if they don’t, maybe someone was curious IF that would work? Personally I’ve gotten all my MP trophies in a spreadsheet by how many players each one needs. Then I try to figure out a way to get that many copies.

Another game I need this set up for (5 consoles) is max Payne 3 for the dlc. Also for read dead redemption. NFS undercover. Some of these games needing 8+ for a trophy. Makes finding boosting partners easier with multiple consoles.

Well, you don't need to have 6 consoles yourself.

You can ask friends for botting around as well with a turbo controller - so anyone can do it, who got some friends :)

I already finished online, but it's a good idea mentioned here ^^

I have eleven PS3, five PS4, four Vita and two PS5 so this is right up my alley, thank you.

Nice! That's surely enough for 95% of boosting. With the method I did, it also slowly gave all 5 alts XP. As I needed one of the alts to be level 12 to unlock telekinesis to try the vending machine hack. It was easier to use my method and then switch to the vending machine one, once one of my alts hit the right level. If I stopped to focus on boosting the alt to lvl 12 alone, i would lose velocity on XP gain for the main. Grinds like this, being efficient helps cut down on how big of a chore it is lol

You can also hack some turrets, and walk into the fire with your alts for score per kill and even for a kill streak

Good point, I also discovered there is no idle kick time as long as you select a load out every round and the controller doesn’t shut off.

I was also able to go from 740 every 3 min round to 1000 by during the 3 min running around collecting Adam vials and using geyser trap to kill my alts. The bonuses totaled around 1000 every 4-5 min depending on loading. It works out slightly faster than turrets but slower than the vending machine.

I was not able to do the vending machine hack until today because all of my alts were too low of level (must be 12 for telekinesis). Now that my alts have reached 12 I am doing the vending machine method which gives roughly 3000 every 11 min including loading.

the info about the idling is the most crucial part o found though. Really helps if you are controlling dummy accounts. Saves some headache. As long as you pick a load out you’re golden. To be safe I plugged every controller into the consoles to prevent shut down.

Update, I reached level 50 using this method. Took about 14.5 hours total in game time. While holding the little sister I ran around the map killing my alts completing trials against my alts. Also concerning the vending machine method. Have the person using telekinesis aim the camera toward where to bomb comes out so there’s a higher chance of success. Then slowly get closer to the machine holding the bomb until you pick up the eve refill. That’s when you stop and the person you boost with can start hacking.

Thank you for the update. Luckily I have 6x PS3 due to the solo boosting on AC Brotherhood and I will follow your method. I will update it once I get all mp trophies.
