Ninjise
Yeah it is doable solo, it's not that bad actually, some practise and memorization will get you there.
iriihutoR84
The trophy Hero Academy requires you to play a ranked match online. I did it with an alt account on the PS3 and my main account on the Vita. I don't think you can do it with two controllers. Pretty sure the poster above is incorrect. Popular Post Bordpie
Yeah the one part which is not solo is to play a ranked match online but that is it. The rest can be done solo including the probably the most difficult 'Over the Top' trophy for beating 3 of the insomniac developer times. While the guide says it's much easier with a boosting partner (which it certainly will be) I did it yesterday, it's not actually too difficult solo. The key is to unlock the buzzblades and doppelbanger (ideally fully upgraded) and use the doppelbangers for defence while going straight for the final objectives. For the couple early small assaults that do happen, the doppelbangers can handle it or its easy to figure out the few defences you need (sometimes only on one side). Don't go off track and unlock more weapon pods as this often starts assaults and wastes time. I happened to unlock the unlimited ammo cheat (requires 105/117 skill points) while doing the first Ebaro level and that makes things a lot easier. The guide is right about the levels to choose, the first, second and final boss. The final boss time is just the battle with Zurgo at the end so you can take you time and pick up as many of the weapons as you like in the first section. All times took me two or three attempts to beat, you will figure out what you need to skip past or speed up as you go along. Another tip is to build up defences on one side and mostly defend the other. The other trophies are just grinding to upgrade weapons (or hovergliding for half an hour off a tower for the Ironmadman trophy) or setting up custom matches for the PvP trophies (apart from the ranked online one). This was my first platinum after having a PS3 for 12 years lol.
