Popular Post fran_friki
Hi, I've obtained the platinum trophy recently. I have some useful tips for everyone interested. How to obtain CR (money) in Story Mode / Fast money grinding tips - For trophies like "Primary Weapon Master", "Secondary Weapon Master" or "Special Weapon Master" - 1- Go to the stage 10 (final boss) and unlock the Extreme difficulty on it. Play this stage every time on Extreme difficulty. 2- Equip powerful secondary weapons like Rear Multi-bomb or Super Multi-bomb (one of the most powerful ones and my personal choice). 3- Equip as maximum 3-4 EX shields, no more are needed. 4- In the first form you need to go through the boss, literally, go inside him and hold the squre button. You'll lose 4 shields if you did it correctly. 5- Destroy his second form in the same way. You will be almost killed as a result if done correctly. 6- Harm as fast as you can the third form, but don't kill him**. You'll die at this point. You'll obtain between 7500 and 8300 CR every time. Repeat this dozens of times to gain money. **Why is better to not killing the boss? Cause if you do it, later you'll lose time skipping the credits, useless loading times and more. Is better to obtain ~8000 CR by dying than 9000 by surviving instead with cinematics / additional loading times. ----------------------------------------- Tips for clear the Extreme mode in the main stages - Needed for the trophy "For Seventia" - 1- Equip the Special Weapon "Search Option 1" or "Search Option 2" (which costs 125.000, but worth it). Use it frequently. 2- Equip homing weapons like Homing Laser, is very useful in almost all stages. 3- Equip powerful main weapons like the Mega Beam or the Grenade. You'll clear this modes eventually. Remember, it is a matter of time and patience, nothing else. You'll receive EX shields, so at certain point it's done. ----------------------------------------- Your worst nightmare: Training 2 Advanced Training on Extreme difficulty - Needed for the trophy "For Seventia" - Yes... this is the platinum trophy blocker par excellence. Well; cost me 80 attempts *gasps*. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq6BWdGJkH4 1- You need to reach Wave 6 with all the shields, so memorize the wave 5. I recommend to kill the orbs moving the ship to the right side and using the options with R2 button when every orb appears. 2- Wave 6 is the last frontier. The entire stage until wave 6 is rather easy with the enough attempts. You need to focus on memorize the orb patterns. 3- First boss is a nasty one. He will take away 2 shields of you. It's nearly impossible to avoid it, so kill it fast with the options (R2 button) and main + second weapon to hit it every time. 4- Second boss is the key. This huge demoralizer is memorizable, nevertheless. Has supersonic attacks, but eventually you can keep a secure position. Use the options with R2 to defend yourself; forget to attack with them, use them as a defense system. When you aren't defending yourself, hold square+X buttons to harm it. Keep doing this! 5- His blue lasers pattern is memorizable, but you need to stay in the center-left of the screen. Keep using the options with R2, until you destroy his arms. The key is to recovering from alert status, because in this circumstance is when you die immediatly. That's the reason you need to reach wave 6 with all the shields; The entire fight is about allowing enough time to pass between each hit received and the shields you recover. If you go long enough without being harmed, you will get another shield that can save your life. If you done correctly, the first boss will take away 2 shields from you, and the second boss 2 shields too during the process. 6- With his arms destroyed, focus on avoiding his bullets until you destroy it. This is, VERY, VERY HARD and frustating, but possible. Remember: at a certain point is not a luck question, is a memorizing task. Of course, you need a lot of skill to do this... so train and go for it, you can do it!! ----------------------------------------- Thank you for reading. Remember to watch the video to learn my followed process in "Training 2 Advanced Training". Good luck and... prepare yourselves to meet the doom with this platinum trophy. Only one task will separate you from this trophy, so train hard and get mental. Edited February 21, 2021 by fran_friki
darkfall_sig
I feel using Super Multi-bomb + 1 Ex Shield in Stage 10 and die right at the end of Phase 1 would be faster farming CR. It saves the transition time between Phase 1 -> 2 (and 2 -> 3), nets around 4.5k CR per run. Still its a few hours of boring grind :/ Edited February 23, 2021 by darkfall_sig
Ak1rA_HD
for the trophy of acquiring 500,000 credits, is it cumulative?
ChouShirakawa
Yeah it's cumulative. You don't have to possess 500,000 at once so you can spend freely.
DHawk12
The advanced training level 2 on extreme seems to be too difficult for me. At least 150 attempts and I still can’t beat the second boss, I always have less than 1 shield at that point. I rarely give up but this seems to be one of those games.
FlareZero
So, with some farming the platinum will become more doable? Edited February 11 by FlareZero
JFwibbles
No. For the most difficult trophy, you have to clear Training 2 Advanced Training on Extreme difficulty, where your weapons are preset and none of your grinding matters.
GodKaio-Ken
I'm basically down to this myself. Just Training 2, Training 3, Level 9 and 10 left on extreme then buying items. Not looking forward to it haha. Edit: Down to just training 2. I thought 10 was going to be crazy hard until I realized you can just damage boost/attack the first form and go into the last 2 easier forms with a few shields. Then search option 2 for the final form after a couple hits with the Mega Beam. Edited February 21 by GodKaio-Ken

I see you never went back and did this. I challenge you to a friendly duel of seeing who can obtain the trophy first. You have 150 tries experience on me should you accept my offer ? I also quit r type but mainly because the grind is insane, I might return to it later to do flawless but I won’t return to natsuki.

It's more about figuring out how to cheese it with damage boosts than actual skill from what I see so far. The funniest thing is that while I found most of the mission levels pretty accurate in terms of difficulty, even training #2 hard is somehow rated 1.0? Lmao My personal plan is to just brute force it. Play so many times I get lucky with a run and clear it. Edited February 22 by GodKaio-Ken

I knew I’d be able to do every normal mission on extreme so I tried to tackle that training mission first so quitting wouldn’t sting so bad.

In the end I decided to do it last because I figured knowing it's just one mission left would be more motivating.
GodKaio-Ken
Okay, so... It IS possible to clear the first "Boss" on wave 6 losing only one health bar. I've been able to do it twice out of like...60 tries since I started trying. It's REALLY hard. I think no damage is possible too but I've yet to figure out a pattern to 100% dodge the blue bullet wave. Start off by holding both weapons firing as close to the boss as you can. When the pink/purple bullets fly at you, you need to immediately fire a special to clear a few and do damage, then start flying downwards to the bottom right of the screen and behind the boss. The whole time you need to shift to just holding your secondary weapon. Once you get hit, hold both weapons again and fly INSIDE the enemy. From behind into its "engine" is ideal. Keep firing until you know you're about to take the second health bar and GET OUT OF THE ENEMY. As you retreat, fire off a special and dodge any remaining bullets. The special will kill the first boss if you did it right and you'll have an extra health bar. If the timing is right, by the time you exit the boss there will only be one small and easily avoided mini-wave of blue bullets to dodge. Lasting as long as you can before your first damage and jumping inside the box is the hard part. If you don't get enough damage done early, you'll be premature and the blue bullet wave will damage you for the 2nd bar. I'm trying to figure out a movement pattern to dodge EVERYTHING it fires and make this Plat easy for everyone. My point is, it's not nearly impossible. I did it twice this morning already after writing this. My problem is I keep doing it on my bad runs and not the ones where I get there full health lol Edited February 26 by GodKaio-Ken
GodKaio-Ken
I DID IT. I DID IT I MOTHER DUCKING DID IT. 302 TRIES AND FINALLY I CLEARED IT. OMG I CLEARED IT IM SO FING HAPPY. That was maybe like....the 3rd or 4th hardest thing I've ever done video game wise. Holy crap.
