Useful tips for platinum trophy

I feel using Super Multi-bomb + 1 Ex Shield in Stage 10 and die right at the end of Phase 1 would be faster farming CR. It saves the transition time between Phase 1 -> 2 (and 2 -> 3), nets around 4.5k CR per run. Still its a few hours of boring grind :/

I'm basically down to this myself. Just Training 2, Training 3, Level 9 and 10 left on extreme then buying items.

Not looking forward to it haha.

Edit: Down to just training 2. I thought 10 was going to be crazy hard until I realized you can just damage boost/attack the first form and go into the last 2 easier forms with a few shields. Then search option 2 for the final form after a couple hits with the Mega Beam.

The advanced training level 2 on extreme seems to be too difficult for me. At least 150 attempts and I still can’t beat the second boss, I always have less than 1 shield at that point. I rarely give up but this seems to be one of those games.

I see you never went back and did this. I challenge you to a friendly duel of seeing who can obtain the trophy first. You have 150 tries experience on me should you accept my offer ?

I did try ~20 more times after I finished farming credits then I officially gave up and moved on to finishing up r type final 2. I also quit r type but mainly because the grind is insane, I might return to it later to do flawless but I won’t return to natsuki.

I don't blame you. It's pretty brutal. It's more about figuring out how to cheese it with damage boosts than actual skill from what I see so far.

The funniest thing is that while I found most of the mission levels pretty accurate in terms of difficulty, even training #2 hard is somehow rated 1.0? Lmao

My personal plan is to just brute force it. Play so many times I get lucky with a run and clear it.

I only did the first and last missions on extreme. I knew I’d be able to do every normal mission on extreme so I tried to tackle that training mission first so quitting wouldn’t sting so bad.

Funny that I thought of doing it the exact same way.

In the end I decided to do it last because I figured knowing it's just one mission left would be more motivating.

Okay, so...

It IS possible to clear the first "Boss" on wave 6 losing only one health bar. I've been able to do it twice out of like...60 tries since I started trying. It's REALLY hard. I think no damage is possible too but I've yet to figure out a pattern to 100% dodge the blue bullet wave.

Start off by holding both weapons firing as close to the boss as you can.

When the pink/purple bullets fly at you, you need to immediately fire a special to clear a few and do damage, then start flying downwards to the bottom right of the screen and behind the boss. The whole time you need to shift to just holding your secondary weapon.

Once you get hit, hold both weapons again and fly INSIDE the enemy. From behind into its "engine" is ideal.

Keep firing until you know you're about to take the second health bar and GET OUT OF THE ENEMY. As you retreat, fire off a special and dodge any remaining bullets. The special will kill the first boss if you did it right and you'll have an extra health bar.

If the timing is right, by the time you exit the boss there will only be one small and easily avoided mini-wave of blue bullets to dodge.

Lasting as long as you can before your first damage and jumping inside the box is the hard part. If you don't get enough damage done early, you'll be premature and the blue bullet wave will damage you for the 2nd bar.

I'm trying to figure out a movement pattern to dodge EVERYTHING it fires and make this Plat easy for everyone.

My point is, it's not nearly impossible. I did it twice this morning already after writing this. My problem is I keep doing it on my bad runs and not the ones where I get there full health lol
