To our loyal Defiance and Defiance 2050 Communities,

Since the release of Defiance 8 years ago, followed by the release of Defiance 2050 3 years ago, we have shared countless gaming memories. Today we come to you with hearts heavy with sadness as we announce that Defiance and Defiance 2050 will officially cease all operations on April 29, 2021.

This decision was not an easy one to make. We concluded that both games could no longer sustain themselves.

While we are discontinuing the games service, we will never forget the incredible journey we embarked on together. It is never easy to announce the shutdown of any game, knowing how much time and effort we have all put into making Defiance and Defiance 2050 enjoyable for many years.

As of today, all cash purchases will be disabled. Bits already purchased before February 24, 2021 will still be usable until the end of service.

Players may continue to play in Defiance and Defiance 2050 and enjoy all game features until April 29, 2021.

The following content will be available:

• 95% discount on all in-game items sold for Bits in the Defiance Store.
• Every 1-2 weeks, we will hold a server event for Defiance and Defiance 2050.

about the hours i dont know, but it's a big grind, need to reach max reputation with 4 factions, pvp need to boost which is chaotic to set up, coop missions ask the pro gamers from the game for help with them it's easy peezy. It's risky to start it now, there's a lot of things that can go not according to plan and boosting can be chaotic, ego 2500 and max reputation will take the longest

Fuck Trion. They never cared to fix the DLC problems with trophies not appearing, they even launched the PS4 version glitched and impossible to plat from the very start.

I see the tutorial trophy last obtained 31 January 、is it possible to start now or do the game not allow new accounts to be created ?

 

Keep getting critical 、the defiance service is not available please try again later msgs 、got them also non stop last year wasnt able to start the game because of this

PSN is messing around for everyone right now so a lot of games don't work properly.

5 weeks to obtain Max rep (600). 50 per day and 60 weekly.

Most difficult rep Is Echelon (pvp).

Coop it's Easy.

EGO just kill, kill, kill and compete story mode+coop+random events (big red and blue circle).

The biggest issue in completing the game will be the pvp trophies also the gameserver stability has been poor since gamigo took over the franchise making gamemodes like shadow war almost unplayable and getting into coop instances a struggle (multiple disconnections until you can get into the instance)

 

The pvp is gear based and not skill based so you'll get one shotted by many veteran players and cannot damage them my advice is to join a boosting group for your server region to complete the majority of the pvp trophies. Unless you have the right weapons/shield/ego rating and can endure the unbalanced pvp mode. I did the majority legit but it is a pain.

 

Some advice. When going into a coop or pvp instance wait the full 30 seconds countdown so the slow server can create the instance (otherwise you get kicked to the login screen)

especially required to get into expeditions which can take up to 3 attempts (for me) to get into.

Bind to a area without much going on (like server spawned props or many players around) like the bloodbath point/gate (here you can also restock for pvp/coop from the vendors) or a remote respawn bake.

Do not open any menus like the map or inventory while the game tries to load in game assets it often results in a desync and disconnection.

if you face multiple disconnections after pvp/coop matches relaunch the game this usually fixes it for a while.

You can probe the server state by spawning your vehicle (it used to spawn almost instantly while trion was running the game) the longer it takes or requires multiple attempts the worse are the servers.

 

Good luck in getting your trophies i think its still possible especially with incoming reputation boost
