multiplayer delayed again indefinitely!

I think it's quite hilarious that ubisoft has once again delayed the release of the online for this game.  Back in fall 2019 they released Ghost Recon Breakpoint in quite the awful state.  After backlash from fans they decided to delay every title that they as a company had planned to release unfinished.  Several of these games released almost 6 months to a year late and still had bugs if that tells you anything.

Now instead of releasing content in a unfinished state they just don't release it at all, lol.  It seems to be more accepted as you don't hear anybody much bitching about that.  Quite honestly though the game has been delayed this time indefinitely and if you think about it that pretty much ruins the entire experience for the online. This game is already discounted 60% from the original purchase price.   People won't be playing this game by the time they release online, hell people are barley playing it now.   I don't own the game mind you but was thinking about picking it up on sale this week but was waiting to see the addition of online trophies only to discover they delayed it once again.    I had already after Breakpoint made up my mind to never purchase a ubisoft title without a   steep discount and this type of shit is exactly the reason.   So instead of releasing games unfinished they decide they would play the consumer as a sucker and not release planned content at all  and see if anyone took notice, sadly the game is such a boring piece of trash nobody could care less as it seems.  Mind you this game  was suppose to release last march in its entirety, lmao.  I think ubisoft has lost it.

I’m not gonna lie, pretty disappointed to hear this gameplay wise. However trophy wise I am glad. I was not looking forward to the raid type of trophies where you need 3 friends and constant communication especially with randoms.

hopefully this doesn’t affect the single player dlc.

Wait a minute, further research concludes that what you are talking about is PC only. The PS4 and PS5 versions are receiving the online update as scheduled but with some hitches. Only Spider-bot PVP and online free roaming are coming tomorrow (March 9th). The raid feature and online text chat will come on the 23rd. No new trophies are coming, but are planed at a later date.

Ok my bad then what i read said ps4 as well so maybe i came across bad information.  Doesn't change the fact ubisoft  sucks ass and as far as the pandemic is concerned i think it's more of a excuse than anything at this point plenty of great studios have released games in a great state of completion on time during this pandemic so props to them.

No trophies thankfully.. at least not at launch. It would be dumb of them to add them later on, but fingers cross they don't.

So then go play those games instead of focusing on being negative about a game you don't even own.

don't be such a sensitive type.  I apologized i made a mistake.  Enjoy the online experience from your favorite developer.  Sorry they suck ass.

I'm not being sensitive, bud. You acknowledged your mistake, kudos because not everyone would. And I will enjoy the online experience to a game I've actually played and enjoyed, unlike yourself.

Yeah give the people the raids and let them enjoy the game but please no trophies. I was already stressed out with Sh0wdown trophies in WD2.

I don't mind more single player DLC trophies tho I liked the game for that!

I am so confused about this post. You're complaining about delays to a game you don't own and then you're endorsing devs to release games on time regardless of the state?

This kinda attitude is why games don't get pushed back. They push games back and people moan, they release games when they said but the game isnt complete and people moan. I'm getting so sick and tired of having to wait months past a release date to see what state a game is in before I play and its because of people like you. I couldnt care less how many times or how long a game is pushed back as long as that when its released it works with no issues.

I wan't endorsing devs to release games regardless of of state dude.  i'm simply saying not releasing big portions of s game  in a timely manner form release of the game isn't any better that releasing games unfinished.  The reason i believe this is because take a portion of the game that involves online it will be dead upon arrival which tbh a game like this it is already pretty much too late.  If people were still playing this game it wouldn't be on the sale rack at 60% off all the time 6 month after release.  The multiplayer experience will be short lived if it lives at all.  people like you who have no expectations of the companies you support are the reason companies bombard us with unfinished and late crap.

Ubisoft is incredibly predictable in pretty much everything they do (and I largely enjoy their games) but considering we are in the midst of a global health crisis, I'm willing to cut any developer a bit of slack for a delay. @steel6burgh You are talking about releasing something in a timely manner during a time where the human beings who are making this are all likely working from home and have had to deal with all manner of extra things on top of their existing projects.

I don't really know why you've chosen to focus in on this game in particular, but if there is ever a time to chill a bit and not dredge up the ancient games-being-released-unfinished complaint, it's probably now. Or not, you clearly really care about this, so you do you I guess.

dude i'm gonna answer this last post then be done with it as i already admitted my mistake.  So why focus on this company? if you read the post it started with me buying one of their games in an unfinished state way back, breakpoint.  as far as the global health crisis is concerned ubisoft  has been releasing unfinished games long before the global health crisis ever took place so i wouldn't be using that as an excuse because it's bullshit.  It's about money and the health crisis is largely about politics as with almost everything else. Ubisoft delayed all these game in fall 2019 before  COVID was know to exist, including Watch dogs legion, which was further delayed to this pst fall and the online until now.  my point was mainly delaying big parts of game like online isn't better than releasing games unfinished because the gam player base will be dead before online even releases.  this isn't Red Dead redemption or GTAV online we're talking about where they can get away with releasing content a year later and everyone will still be playing it.

Well having a few hours into the multiplayer I would like to say that this needed a little bit more time in the oven.

- The lag can be outright unplayable at times. I don't know how to explain it, the hitboxes are fine, but it's just the movement. Instead of running they would teleport like its a vr game.

- The frame rate is atrocious, I feel like the majority of the time I'm playing a slideshow, especially when you have to escape from pursuers, or fighting more than 3 enemies/drones.

- Speaking of combat, the 4 sessions I have been in enemy's have all been scaled to end game content. IDK if this was because of the players but as a new player I had nothing but the starter pistol, making combat very difficult and sometimes out right unfair.

- You may be thinking "get someone with a rifle" but in order to recruit those guys you need at least 15 points, and in order to get points you need to do missions.

- Now you my say "the battlepass gives you points though", yes but most of the dailies and weeklies include, well, combat.

Though I will say in all 4 of the session I have been in the players seem really friendly and actually play the objective, like hacking and escorting. They also don't leave you behind and will attempt to revive you.

I don't think hats strictly the case, just that it isn"t impossible in a "never say never" sense. Haven't seen any commitment or plan for new MP trophies

Well Ubisoft saying "planned" and it actually being implemented are 2 different things. The way the multiplayer is going I say just scrap the whole thing focus on the single player content/dlc.

Honestly, I didn't like this game at all. I did enjoy the first two games but this one was a huge disappointment. So I took a break from it and waited for online to be released. Might have to redownload the game now. I'm really hoping online will be fun and make going for the platinum a lot more bearable because I'll be able to play with friends. And here's hoping the Aiden Pearce DLC will be awesome.

Yeah agree. I dont like raid trophies, especially the one in division 2 where you need 7 other players, none of them to leave and 3 hours straight

Well to be fair it makes sense for a game like The Division I still hated it but it had its place there.

In a game like Watch Dogs, I don’t know it feels foreign. It doesn’t belong and it feels like padding in an already padded out game.

What I'm saying is that new trophies aren't planned, just not impossible

"A spokesperson told us that, at launch, there wouldn't be any new trophies to unlock, but it's something the team is investigating and may consider adding post-launch"

Agree otherwise. Watch Dogs Legion was a massive let down.
