Are some profiles more 'glitchy' than others?

I'm getting paranoid! I seem to find trophy glitches in games that no one else has suffered from. I feel like if a game can glitch, it will glitch with me!!! It makes me very conservative to try new games as I hate getting locked out of the 100% by a glitch.

 

Anyway, are some people's profiles more prone to glitching than others? Why do some people get glitches on a game, and others not on the exact same game? Is there anything we can do to make it less likely we will suffer trophy glitches?

I don’t think that’s the case. I’ve had some trophies glitch out whereas for others they unlocked on the first attempt. Depends on the game you’re playing.

I know that trophy unlock conditions depend on how the player plays the game and what actions are done when. Deliberate in-game actions to unlock a trophy can help. May have to be creative too when attempting to unlock a trophy. Ask yourself, "Ok, what can I do to unlock this trophy a different way if it doesn't unlock the first or second time?" Scrub forums, check online, watch various videos, etc. There is a lot of work and research to do when you are a committed trophy hunter. I'm sure we can all relate.

I'm pretty sure the account you're playing on has nothing to do with glitched trophies. You do something in game that should unlock the trophy, then it pops on that specific profile. It's the game that glitches out, not the profile. I was mostly glitchless in my career, sometimes because I've researched known glitched trophies and knew how to get around that. Still, collecting Nices in Harvest Moon just didn't unlock, no matter what I did. 

Some games are just a mess. Some trophy descriptions are misleading. Some are just broken one way or another. Aside from understanding what exactly it is that you need to do to get that specific trophy, I think there's not much you can do about it and there's no universal advice that applies to every game. Start over, play it as differently as possible while still fulfilling the trophy requirements, I guess.

Yes, I think account is nothing to do with it. Many times I see posts claiming that a trophy has 'glitched' when someone has simply played the game incorrectly to get the trophy. Other times, there is a known way to play the game and the glitch has been caused by an identified 'foible'. In my case, I think my mindset has something to do with it. I definitely have been getting depressed with the lockdown and work drying up and whatnot so can sometimes see things through a bit of a negative lens which might be why I think I'm getting a higher proportion if glitches than I really am.

PSNProfiles actually taught me to hide all my games and consoles when getting visited by siblings and cousins. For that I am grateful, allowed me to not have hacked trophies on my account so far.
