Quick tips for the plat

Hello, 

This is just some quick tips for getting this Plat and my experience. This is accurate as of 23/03/2021 and it could change in the future (you would hope it does)

There are 4 servers.  US Central, Europe, Australian and Japan.

You can't start a game with less than 12 players. There are 5 modes but only two of them are played (you literally can't find a game for the other modes). These two modes are 16 player Free for all (Mayhem) and 8 v 8 Death Match (8 v 8 Mayhem).

If you're boosting you will either use the Australian or Japan servers as they are totally empty. There is no grouping system so you all have to countdown and press the join que button at the same time. In my experience Australian servers are worse than Japan servers for boosting. You will probably get 1-3 successful ques before the que will freeze and you will be forced to open and close the game. Often people don't get put into the games even though they're in the que. 

If you are solo queuing you can either choose European or US Central. The European servers I find have a better latency from Australia but they are not as populated as the US servers (depending on time). 

My tips:

If you're farming  the 50 wins trophy, just que 8 v 8 mayhem. If your team wins it counts as a win. It's also good for the win a game with every hero Trophy. It can be difficult to win a 16 player death match game with all the RNG involved so if there's games going always choose 8 v 8.

There is no penalty for leaving a game early. If you are farming a hero trophy and there's less than 60 seconds on the clock and you can't get a hero vehicle just leave and re-que . No need to see the game out and go through the defeat screens.

Boxtop/Instant Service trophy  is probably the hardest trophy followed by  No Escape Trophy. If you're boosting I'd advise going for these first. Boxtop is buggy and may take multiple tries.

Things to watch out for:

If you get "que failed" but put into a game you MUST restart your ps5 system otherwise it will glitch you and you wont be able to get any trophies even if you join the following game.. (happened to me twice)

You will get "unable to finding matchmaking errors" and thats ok, but if you get a frozen "finding players" circle then you must reboot the game, cancelling the que and trying to reque will result in failed match making every time.

If you stop being able to find a game it's probably just bugged match making. Restart the game and make sure. I've had a few instances where I thought everyone had gone to bed but it was just a bugged.

I don’t understand how this game became such a train wreck so quickly. I’ve never seen a game flop this hard and the thing is despite it being shallow like Fall Guys for instance, it’s not enjoying similar success. The game is fun and has potential but honestly it just makes me miss Twisted Metal. If I had known it was going to be so difficult to find matches I wouldn’t have started playing it.

The concept for Fall Guys is solid, it just lacks some of the additional features that would make it a really good game. I can't help but think the concept for this game was flawed from the start, love the character designs and the graphics but the gameplay just doesn't cut it

Thanks for the tips, we need as many as we can get since the absolutely overpowered characters make things harder for getting trophies

I was so so glad that I haven't unlocked a trophy in this train wreck of a game when I tried it out earlier this year. My gosh these trophies are a pain in tje butthole. 

 

Gameplay was solid but nothing special though, I deleted it after an hour and had no regrets ^^

I was reading that they removed 8 v8 from the rotation and that would make this entire game totally dreadful for the trophies.

but isn't this a good thing in terms of boosting possibilities? I mean if only few randoms are online it might be possible to boost it with friends...

Never launch a MP game on launch date, player base is small at that point.

I'd keep an eye on it. Bots are coming at some point and with that Gridfall and other modes will likely be made always available to play online, which means the 2 essentially Gridfall trophies can be much more easily gotten.

hey, that was me

since some of you messaged me privatly i decided to tell you how i did it

 

i got both of them in mayhem

flamethrower one was lucky, i got in a lobby with 3 players (2 other players and me), so this one was easy

for no escape i was grinding my 50 wins, and i played with ratu since its the easiest to win with her

i was in a lobby with~8 people, activated her breaker 3 times, wrecked 3-4 people everytime and after the 3rd activation i got the trophy

so you need to get everyone in the lobby at least once, not in a single breaker use

i think the flamethrower one works the same, just like the trophy with the musical breaker

 

eventually you should get it

I'm trying to get the platinum and really hope 'flamethrower' and 'no escape' works as above (although with bots in the lobby idk if it's even possible). 

Anyhow... I'm having fun except I don't understand how I can only matchmake with the same people over and over, and not anyone else. As if there are only 5-6 people playing this game at one moment in the whole world. I'm getting matched with same names that aren't even in my region (judging by their profiles location) and what infuriates me is they are some dumb fucking kids who are either god-tier players or cheating, because idk how for example you get 21 points at the start of mayhem after 2 seconds of driving. In conclusion game is pointless and probably running off a server in McDonald's basement. It would be better if devs brought back all the game modes and fill lobbies with bots, this way you could play varied matches and not wait forever in queue.
