*No Patches for Some PS3 Games*

Is Record of Agarest War II another one? How do I check what the disc version is?

 

According to that google doc, BLES01643 has a 1.01 patch and BLJM60273 copies have a 1.02 patch. I get nothing with my region 1 BLUS30881, but I can't figure out what patch version the disc starts with. Each region has a different publisher so for all I know 1.02 in JPN is EUs 1.01, and NAs 1.0. lol

You don't need to delete Column D. Can have it prioritize the search by column instead of row so the search will search in whatever column you decide to click into first.

I was supposed to check Ghostbusters the Game but SOMEHOW the game disc is missing and I cant check Final Fantasy XII-2 atm. Everything in that List is American/Canadian region EXCEPT for Trinity Universe. That one is EU.

you can still buy the dlcs in the store, its just located weirdly.

 

Weird, I had a patch for Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst. Maybe u should check it again.

Yes, the inclusion of trophies in SSHD was via a patch, it didn't release with them.

Can anyone else test batman arkham knight and asylum digital?

 

Do the GOTY editions on disk include the patches?  I'm stuck on 1.0 for both of them.

 

EDIT: huh, despite them being on 1.0, it seems I can still use the DLC so far?   Don't have a lot of time to test, but they all show up.

What region were you using? I have BLUS31350. I've checked it again as you suggested, but it just immediately went to "you already have the latest version".

Alright, my Far Cry 3 is on a Far Cry Compilation disc and the version was 1.0. I could connect to online services and my online pass worked. So basically the latest patch was all within the disc.

No update seems to exist for Quantum Conundrum as mine is 1.00 and I can play both DLC’s just fine. No need to worry for that one.

If you check Game Data and it has ''-'' next to version, it means there is no update? I tried Hunted: The Demon's Forge but i don't know if it had patches to begin with

Went through my entire list of PS3 games. I love terrible games and collect a lot of shovelware, so even if some games have already been said, it's worth at least saying. All of this is from the NA region (with the exception of Okami, which doesn't seem to matter), and almost entirely physical. The only reason it's not physical is if it's digital-only.

Sly 4 and Bound By Flame were the only outliers. There was no error, just said they were fully updated already. I assume that Sly 4 on the huge google sheets is the Vita version? For BBF, I have no idea, but I think that game got a PS4 port as well so it may be for that. Hope this helps.

It seems that was a false alarm on my end. I just checked. It seems that even though Dante's Inferno has version 1.04 patches the 1.00 UK digital version is fully patched. All DLC works properly.

Just in case this isn't clear for anyone and it may be useful, if you are struggling for HDD space but want to install patches;

 

1. Insert game disc.

2. Press triangle and go to check for update.

3. If the game has an update, it will download and install independent of a full game install saving many GBs.

4. In the game data section, the installed patch will appear.

 

This is useful if you are like me have many games in the backlog but want to better manage HDD space instead of upgrading a HDD. I am unsure if with a second PS3 content including all game data can easily be transferred. With new HDD installs, a format is required a remember. So if you have Gran Turismo 5 on your HDD for example , keep it there as one of the earlier patches patched out a nasty game breaking bug. Hope this helps. Got more games to test :/

Can I just suggest that everyone please stop posting massive lists of games. It isn't useful because we know the exact list of games affected, it's hard to read, and it's just cluttering up the thread. The spreadsheet posted earlier has every single update that was available before. If a version of a game isn't on that list, it never had an update in the first place. My thread has a full list of all the games affected, but everyone ignores it in favor of testing all their games manually and then speculating about which ones should have updates. It's exasperating to watch.

There were patches to the Japanese version however presumably by the time the game was ported to the west, the 1.00 version would be the fully patched version as standard.

I have the western version of One Piece which didn't download a patch but after testing just now One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 Japanese on my Vita, it does try to download a patch.
