Dan_WatsonAU
So I’m looking for recommendations for games which can be played through in online co-op. Recently we’ve done both of the recent ghost recon games and no mans sky. We gave far cry 5 a shot but it hasn’t held our interest. PS5 games would also be welcome but due to the lack of games there I thought it was best to ask here.

SyIaris
Can't access my PS4 at the moment to check my multiplayer folder, but off the top of my head here's what a friend and I played or have pending: Spoiler Alienation Arslan: The Warriors of Legend Borderlands 2 Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Dead Nation Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Defense Grid 2 Dragon Quest Builders 2 Dungeon Defenders 2 (free) Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades God Eater 3 God Eater Resurrection Helldivers Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris LittleBigPlanet 3 Mercenary Kings Monster Hunter World One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Path of Exile (MMO) Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Portal Knights Remnant: From the Ashes (PS+ March) Saints Row: The Third Saints Row IV Saints Row: Gat out of Hell Samurai Warriors 4 Sniper Elite 3 Sniper Elite 4 Stardew Valley Tom Clancy's The Division Tom Clancy's The Division 2 The Elder Scrolls Online (MMO) The Escapists 2 The Forest We Were Here Zombie Army Trilogy Zombie Army 4 (PS+ April) Bit shooter heavy, but there's decent variety in there. Borderlands 2, Defense Grid 2, Dungeon Defenders 2, PvZ Garden Warfare 2, Saints Row 3 and 4, Sniper Elite 4, Stardew Valley, and Escapists 2 have been favorites. Gnorizon
My spouse and I have a set-up with two big-screen TVs side by side, with each one having a Nintendo Switch and a PS4 (Soon to be PS5's I hope!) As such, I can certainly recommend a few games that are fun to play online through and through with a partner - I'm sure you've heard of most of them, but I'll list my favorites below: The "Borderlands" series - All of them are amazing, with the "Pre-Sequel" being my least favorite. Rayman Legends - Fun platformer if that's your thing. Outriders - This one just launched April 1st. It still has a few bugs, but I'm enjoying it. Diablo 3 - Great ARPG, decent story, great replay value, and a classic. FFXIV - If you're into MMORPGs - this game takes the cake. Absolutely amazing story, great graphics, combat system, and much more. Divinity: Original Sin II - Basically the D&D of gaming. The acolades it's recieved speak for itself, but the combat style isn't for everyone. Hope this helps a bit! There's a lot more out there, but really it depends on what styles/genres you're looking for! Edited June 21, 2021 by Gnorizon
Yuber6969
Borderlands 1 (can't speak for the others) is great for if you want to socialize while playing. It's a pretty mindless game.
dieselmanchild
Zombie Army 4 is entirely built around online co-op of up to 4 players and is a lot of fun. It’s basically Sniper Elite meets Days Gene’s endless zombie hordes. It’s currently free on PS+ for this month so you might as well grab it while you can. dieselmanchild
I’d also highly recommend Remnant from the Ashes for co-op. It’s basically like Dark Souls but with guns, and it was free on PS+ recently. My friend and I just finished it yesterday and we absolutely loved it. The entire game and all trophies can be earned with your partner.
