This game is a testament to the power of THE CELL

The PS4 version looks ever so slightly sharper and the 60 fps doesn't add or improve anything, at least in single player. I almost regret double dipping.

You do know that the quality of this "remaster" is almost on par with every other cheap cash grab that was re-released right?

I mean, yeah. Nobody doubts the power of the CELL processor. Issue is every game that wasn't developed by a first party developer got shafted and the PS3 version is the worst place to play it on. It's the reason PS3 isn't on PS4/5 and PS3 games on PS Now aren't downloadable. Wouldn't have mattered if it was a pre Nintendo Switch Nintendo console where first party games were the bulk of the software. Power doesn't mean anything if people can't use said power.

But... that'll never happen? 🤔

Side trivia: I highly recommend the book The Race for a New Game Machine: Creating the Chips Inside the Xbox and the PlayStation 3 by David Shippie and Micki Phillips. Eye-opening insight by IBM employees on how PS3's R&D went for the CELL chip as well as bitter corporate espionage involving IBM, Toshiba, Sony and Microsoft.
