I don’t think you’ll give up as easily as you stated. It seems more like you are trying to vent so that you can try again later, but I could be wrong here. I ran into my fair share of difficulties with this game (mostly dying with Trish in that Bloody Palace), so I’m not going to say that your frustration is unfounded. However, I will disagree with with s ranking missions; it is very possible. The easiest characters to use would be Lady and Trish. Seeing as this forum is for DMC5, I’m not going to get to deep into the details. As for patching the difficulty, I’m afraid that is very unlikely seeing that DMC4 is roughly a decade old. If they didn’t fix the game by now, they probably never will. DMC5 was also designed to be a tough platinum, so the difficulty will likely remain the same for that as well. As for your frustration, while I agree that you are justified to get angry at the difficulty, I will suggest that you take breaks periodically. Keep in mind that if you get too worked up, you will start doubting yourself, your mind will get clouded, and you will make more mistakes. After the break is over and when you resume, you’ll start off way stronger than when you last played. I’m honestly surprised every time I do this myself. I wish you luck, and I hope you get the platinums. Remember, you are going after some really tough trophies, so you will run into some speed bumps along the way. Baker
Is there an easy way to get quick S Ranks with Nero? I’ve started going for S Ranks and I’m already stuck at the prologue ?. Edit: Let me rephrase that. What I mean is how do you quickly get your style meter to S-SSS and keep it there using the most simple and easy to execute combo’s. What I mean is how do you quickly get your style meter to S-SSS and keep it there using the most simple and easy to execute combo’s. Nero is the toughest character to master, in my opinion. The guide here goes over his basic features, such as charging Blue Rose and using Gerbera to dodge. Both are enough about 85% of the time, but Nero has far more powerful Devil Breakers than Gerbera. My personal favourite devil breaker is Ragtime. Its Slow Sphere is not very practical, unless you are facing a single enemy that you intend to grab immediately after. However, the Breakage move, slow world is very powerful allowing you to slow down everything to the point that enemies are basically unable to move. This is very useful against masses of enemies and especially furies. Unfortunately, you can only use it a maximum of 8 times before Needing to restock, so be sure to use them sparingly. Personally, I like to use x1 Gerbera, x5 Ragtime, and x2 Gerbera. As for combos, you’ll generally want to keep airborne as much as possible. You should also launch enemies into the air from the ground, pull them right to you into the air, and use Devil Bringer while in the air, all as much as possible. Blue Rose, his firearm, should also be used as much as possible. Many players like to swap R1 and Circle to allow you to charge it while jumping and dodging. This will make it easier to get your Stylish Rating up. I hope I helped, and I wish you good luck with the platinum. I really need it for the Boss fights. And as you know, there’s a Boss fight in almost every mission. It hasn’t even occurred to me to use both Devil Breakers in the same loadout ?. I always used Gerbera x8, I’ll definitely change that. I also already switched shooting to L1, which I also did in DMC4. It plays a lot easier. After playing through Bloody Palace I’m actually good on most Boss fights too. Getting an S Rank on DH or SOS missions should be easy. On DMD I would probably need to use the CP exploit and HAH will take multiple attempts. I’m basically good to go if not for the fact I’m completely burned out by this game. It’s so repetitive. Thanks for the tips. I appreciate it.
