For those who want to ask if the platinum is still obtainable and the servers are up still, then yes, yes the platinum can be obtained, and you can connect for the most part. Depending on your timezone, you can find a good amount of players playing the game, though if you are new, prepare to get smoked to the bones, as the remaining players are professional to the mode. Boosting is pretty easy, though depending on your timezone, you can still find randoms that will screw you over. And there are challenges still being issued, and I'm not sure if EA or Crytek (whoever is running the server) will stop issuing challenges. I dont have the DLC, but since the PS3 storefront is closing the 100% for the Crysis series will be unobtainable if you dont buy it before July hits. Wary to add it to my list in case servers come down mid boost. Is it possible to boost everything in a random objective based game mode that’s dead? Also do you know the optimal xp boost? Been a while since I gotten the platinum for the game, but 6 folks are needed for a match, and you should not have issues boosting the DLC I think, but when I was boosting the multiplayer with other folks who were getting the platinum, the base game is still kinda active and randoms can join in. If you want to slow them down a bit, dont accept their friend request that they will send. Be aware that they can still join yall. I just solo boosted the mp trophies using 6 ps3s. For my alt accounts, I had no issues connecting to the servers. I had to create EA accounts for all the alts upon connecting and once I created an EA account, I was able to connect to the servers with no issues. However, I did have issues connecting with my main account initially. I read that this issue happened to a lot of people both on ps and xbox as well. For others, they seemed to say they had issues when trying to connect with alt accounts. So one account could connect but not the other at the same time. As I mentioned, this happened to me as well for my main while having 5 accounts currently ready to go. I tried changing DNS settings to googles address which I read someone posted as a potential solution. Still couldnt connect. Then I had a suspicion it had to do with the EA account. So I logged into my EA account through their website and unlinked my psn ID. Then I tried connecting to Crysis 3 mp again which now brought up the EA login. I logged in and was able to connect. So for some people that have issues connecting, this may be a potential solution. It took me two nights of playing about 3-4 hours each night to get all the base game mp trophies. I played around 11pm-2am Eastern US time on a Thursday and Friday night. I played Hunter and Spears primarily and a couple TDM. I did not encounter any randoms the whole time I played. So I either got lucky or the game is absolutely dead right now. Hopefully this may give someone an idea of how things may go for them if they are curious and intend to try to get the platinum in this game. The trophies are pretty easy if boosting and I happened to get level 20 right as I got the trophies for challenges done and playing all the maps. 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
