Popular Post A1rPun
A S-rank has 2 requirements. - Beaten the overall par time (A+ rank) - Beaten the level deathless Ofcourse you can have a run that satisfies both of these requirements but this is good to know for later levels. This means you can abuse the checkpoint system to get a good time on the level and after that (or even before) you can do the level deathless on your own pace to get a shiny S-rank. Here is a list of the unlockable characters: - Meat Ninja. Never give up. Beat 4th boss. - Bandage Ripper. Never give up. Beat 4th boss. - Dr Fetus. Too many jerks! Beat 4th boss and have 31 pacifiers. - Prototype Boy. 3 pacifiers. - Squirrel. S-rank all 6 light worlds including 0xDEADBEEF and have 35 pacifiers. - Manic. Recruit him, boss. Beat 2nd boss as squirrel and have 40 pacifiers. - Brownie. Race against time, and win. Appears random when you select a level in the 5th world while using Meat Ninja. Have 50 pacifiers. There is a shortcut in the section with the first yellow powerup, don't take the power up. - Classic Boy, Classic Girl, Classic Dr Fetus. Highscore. Beat the first warp zone with 8 seconds left. There are spots while beating the boss where it can't hurt you when it turns. - Tofu Boy. Is randomly chosen as a character when selecting a level after obtaining 60 pacifiers, beat the level to unlock Tofu Boy. - Mega Bandage. BZZT. Beat the 4th warp zone and have 12 pacifiers. - F-Meat. Backward. Complete the 5th warp zone backwards under par time (55.5s) and have 15 pacifiers. Quick turn by double tapping the steer button. - Lil' Meat. Bull Charge. The boss in the 3rd warp zone has 3 waves, in the third wave the boss will try to stun you and do a "bull charge" killing you in one hit. Dodge the projectiles and hit the charging boss with a punch. Have 9 pacifiers. - Meatsona. Toasty. Flawless victory in the 2nd warp zone and have 6 pacifiers. - Classic Dr Fetus. Insurance Fraud. - ❤️ Relationship goals. S-rank all 5 dark worlds and have 90 pacifiers. Also wanted to note that there is no limit to new game plus. You can start a new game plus by beating the 5th boss. The option to do so is in the main menu where you select your save file. This will grant you the ability to collect more pacifiers. For every new game+ you will get new chunks to play, which can also be more difficult. Chunks have a difficulty rating from 1 to 7 according to Tommy Refenes, 1 is easy, 7 is hard. The first playthrough you will only get chunks from the difficulty range 1 to 4. In new game plus you get 1 to 7. (source https://youtu.be/OUdeoNHSlqA, 11:11) 0xDEADBEEF consist of 6 levels. The world is unlocked by beating the 5th boss. 5 of the levels are unlocked by unlocking and beating warp zones, the 6th level is unlocked by beating 5 0xDEADBEEF levels. Warp zones are randomly encountered in a level, usually in the first few chunks. You will see a glitch effect and hear a distorted soundtrack. If you have more info or tips please reply and don't quote the entirety of this post please ^¬^. I wanted to share all of this here because I had all of these questions about unlocks myself. Seems weird but OK.
Datboy1991
This has been very helpful so far! Thank you, and good luck on your plat journey!
Joe Dubz
Yes thank you very much for laying all this out! It has proved to be quite valuable to me thus far. For anyone wanting to try this because they thought it would be easier than the original, like me... Think again!! This game is so freakingly fast paced and this plat is definitely at least on par with SMB, if not harder IMO. Those dark levels and Oxdabeef are just BRUTAL!

Great game though, I thought it looked horrible when I seen the announcement (autorunner) trailer but I’m glad I gave it a chance. It definitely still is SMB at heart, hopefully more people on the fence give it a shot. edit: the difficulty regarding dark worlds isn’t linear as the first game either. I found some earlier worlds harder than later worlds. Edited September 14, 2021 by Kcrack_Km

Not gonna lie, I have been creeping on your progress from over here in the shadows man, you have been killing it! Congrats on getting all the hard stuff done, bravo ? I also thought you had an interesting approach, doing the later Dark Worlds first. I have to agree with you completely tho, I was definitely turned off initially by this when I saw it. But it is really fun and it stays true to the SMB formula in that the controls are so tight and precise! It's freakishly fast paced, but whenever I die I never feel like it's due to shoddy controls or something, that's all on me ? 10 hours ago, Kcrack_Km said: edit: the difficulty regarding dark worlds isn’t linear as the first game either. I found some earlier worlds harder than later worlds. I am sooooooo glad to hear you say this... I just made it to The Clinic Dark World yesterday, and there are 1 or 2 chunks that require ridiculously precise timing with a few tricky moves that have just been giving me a run for my money! I want to blame my shoddy 37 year old reflexes on one hand, but on the other hand that didn't hold me back from finishing SMB earlier this year ? Ah well, the age old adage of "practice makes perfect" is the only thing that's gonna help here! Mayhaps I'll just skip ahead to a later world for now. These no death runs have felt much harder to me... I have no qualms rating this a 10/10 on the difficulty scale for me personally, whereas I only give SMB 7/10 from my experience with it. Ah well, I guess it all just depends on how bad I want it!! ?
