Platinum #100 recommendations

I've completed 99 platinums and am wanting to do something special for number 100. 

 

A game doesn't have to meet all these criteria but it will give you an idea of what sort of thing I like! It's been a while since I played something longer and more involved so maybe I'd like to do a bigger game for #100.

 

Anyway, I like:   character customisation

 

                           large open world

 

                          ideally first person or at least not 'bird's eye' perspective (not critical)

 

                          costs under £20 (or there about)

 

                         Ideally won't require multiple playthroughs

 

                        Platinum difficulty not too high (important)

 

                        I much prefer exploration over tough combat

 

                        definitely no JRPGs!!! 

 

I've already got: Mass Effect, Dragon Age Inquisition, fallout4, Skyrim, The Witcher, Dragon's Dogma but something else similar to these would be good.

This doesn‘t suit your requirements, however I would advise you to go for something crazy to make it more special.

I got Wolfenstein 2 as my 100th platinum and it was very satisfying

Horizon Zero Dawn, maybe? It doesn't fit all of your criteria, but it's a pretty iconic game for this generation, and would be a cool milestone.

What about Shadow of Mordor ? Or Mafia 3 ? Just cause 3 ? Far cry 5 ? Sleeping Dogs ? inFamous First Light ? Witcher 3 ?

 

Plenty of nice games, already started and just waiting for being done

I agree with this. While I would never be crazy enough to go for Wolfenstein 2, I decided to go for Cuphead for my 150th Platinum, which was definitely a challenging game.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance.  Fits most the categories and is on sale for the spring sale right now iirc.

I love the Surge, and am pretty damn close to the platinum, but I would like to mention that if someone is not skilled with the soulslike genre, they probably would find the plat difficult just by virtue of the game itself presenting quite a challenge.

 not difficult (grindy but can also be done in co-op making it more fun )✅

Explore to uncover the map✅

Actually - one additional one that might be worth considering is:

 

 

Aside from being 3rd person and having a set character, I think it fits every one of your criteria - it's not JRPG (though it is Japanese) so it really depends on what parts of JRPGs turn you off, but it's a blast of a game.

I second The Outer Worlds, really good game. I recommend looking through trueachievements walkthrough to get all the trophies in one playthrough. Or 1 run on easy and a 2 hour pacifist speedrun that takes around 2 hours.

Yes, I will go back to those in the future. SoM I hated, Mafia 3 has glitched to hell on me and several 'full game' trophies didn't pop so I'm in a strop with it at the moment but I will go back to it! FC5 I'll do soon as I only have 2 trophies I think for the plat.

I would say Red Dead Redemption 2, but you might have to replay through it cuz you need to just 100% the game and some online trophies, so maybe not this game

If you mean FF7R, then that game was awesome and you should play it. Nioh was also good

I would pick FF7 but it's a JRPG.
