1. Batting: took me way to long to get the hang of it, it may have taken me close to 10 hours to get it done
2. Phonedating: the minigame itself is not bad but once you have to do it to complete all the substories then its a pain
3. The starship mini game at the arcade (don't remember the name)

1) Disco: I did well during normal play. But screwed up a lot when against Media King & Isobe/Ogita.

2) Catfight: No comment.

3) Batting: I used Kiryu and screwed up a lot. But when I used Majima, I got the achievement less than 10 times tries.

 

 

Yakuza 0 UFO is surprisingly easy than Yakuza 6 & 7.

This minigame is the only reason Yakuza 0 is the only title in the series i have no Platinum on. Hell, learned to play Mahjong, got the 95% for Harukas request in that crappy song (of course they even choose the hardest most difficult song). Got Puyo Puyo through in Judgement. 

 

But this freaking Disco dance.. $%&$%&

Funny enough, I like most minigames, including Disco, Karaoke and even Mahjong is not too bad.

But luck based ones and 100k points in the annoying little spaceship game, just infuriating.

Catfights is top for me no question, it's so boring and the grind can take hours on pure luck. Other than that batting i dread every new Yakuza, the Kamurocho batting center is a cursed evil location in my house. Then i'd say the phone dating minigame, it's fun the first time but having to do it minimum 7 times for the substories gets old super fast. I like Mahjong but getting a full straight was painful.

Know a fair few people who have problems with the arcade games but i love them. Fantasy Zone is ok nothing special but i love me some Outrun i could play that game for ages without going for trophies, super hang on is good too.

Hate is a strong word. I don't have any that I hate. Maybe dislike or "rather do something else" sure but I don't really hate any minigame including the cat fight. 

 

Currently replaying the game on my alt. The series will forever be treasured for its goofiness but also serious crime drama

Can't say I truly hate any minigame here either (even the rhythm games were good... Compared to a certain poking doctor in another similar game). 

 

However if i were to pick 3 of the minigames that i wouldn't like replaying in this game...

 

1. Batting

2. Roulette 

3. Blackjack 

 

Batting really gave me some headaches. Roulette was pure RNG luck (just like real life lol) so I wasted quite some time in getting the required money there too. And for Blackjack... Stupid dealer got 5 21s in a row... Guess how lucky I was there

For those who say mahjong, it's not hard. It's actually very easy and chill as soon as you know the basics. Playing a game without knowing the rules is not the same as it being hard.

The only disco minigame that really "sucks" is catfight club, Bullshit rng, And Ai's that mash faster than a jitter clicker.

 

 

 

(Also ps all you guys saying disco or karaoke are just bad,  They are great minigames with great music you guys just suck at the content material, Something isn't bad just because YOU can't do it)

1. Fantasy Zone. It was so bad, I dropped the platinum sadly. I hate bullethells much more after this game.
2. Japan Catfight Club. Awful mini-game, total RNGfest and crazy buttonmashing.
3. Disco. Songs are great, but the mini-game is ridiculously hard in two of them.

Guess I'm lucky, I never tried batting and mahjong.

Haven't played the arcade games yet apart from Outrun, but Blackjack is the most painfully aggravating experience so far. Having to make 50,000 chips when the maximum first bet starts at 100 chips means you have to go on an insane winning streak to get anywhere close. It's agonisingly slow to play, and I've never got further than being able to bet 1,000 chips before the dealer immediately gets blackjack and shuts me down

Can't believe people hated the disco so much and the number of comments re: dropped plats because of it and/or things like Fantasy Zone. They were really not hard at all and just require practice and agree with everything dtb345 said.

 

The worst by far was catfights. All the others were on a sliding scale between fine and fun

 

As for Mahjong, it gets a lot of hate because, I believe, of a lack of understanding (accepting some people will just hate it). I think t's actually a great game that's very involved. It's got slightly more annoying over the last few games (LAD / Judgment) because of the RNG but it's still fun for me. Just have to read up a little on it is all

1. Shogi, awful since the only way to make it through is with by either doing exactly like a video guide or using an app to cheese it.

2. Western style casino games, dont like gambling games.

3. Japanese style casino games, same reason as 2.

 

Special mention Mahjong, I actually enjoy it, its just that in some of the games the requirements for completion are a pain to get.
