StrickenBiged
The first one was about Love, and everyone loved it. The second one was about Hate, and half of the audience hated it. Will this one be about forgiveness?
Popular Post Carol
This makes me very happy. I love the first two games and they are both masterpieces, in my opinion. I would love to have a proper conclusion and some closure about what happened to Ellie, Dina, Abby and Lev. I can now have high hopes that there will be a TLOU 3 on PS5 or PS6.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
I'm going to jump in here real quick... ...say that I'm happy they are thinking about this... ...that I'm sure, based on recent history, that they will only go forward with a game when they have something worth saying... ...and that whatever TLoU3 turns out to be, I'm sure it will almost certainly be great. Now, I'm gonna jump back out, before this thread turns into the shit-show that we all know it's inevitably going to. ☮️ Edited April 28, 2021 by DrBloodmoney
Popular Post EIdain
Would much rather they went on to a new IP next (or after Factions if that's still a thing). I felt like part 2 concluded Joel & Ellie's story, not really interested in playing a game about Abby.

Popular Post Raidou Kuzunoha XIV
I enjoyed the first Last of Us, felt it was kinda overrated but that's just about every modern Naughty Dog game in my eyes. Didn't feel like it needed a sequel and didn't really understand why they made one (aside from $$$ of course), haven't gotten around to that one yet. And now a potential third game... Can't help feeling they're just milking the series at this point. I'd even take a new Uncharted over this, even though I found 4 disappointing. I just hope this series doesn't go on for too long, to the point where whatever the last games might be end up disappointing just about everyone. I always kind of prefer it when a game series ends on a high note, rather than dragging on and on, and ultimately not even really feeling like what made the games enjoyable to begin with.

Was gutted Joel was taken out early doors and Ellie's character and story bored/annoyed me, whereas with Abby, her storyline and character I really enjoyed more and like the game itself, was more invested in the 2nd half with her of what was a fantastic game. Agree though, would love a new IP for sure.

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Is it weird that I kind of want a Joel prequel with Tess as mercenaries? There's so many interesting nuggets about Joel's past that was never explored...

Cal
I wouldn't mind if it was set in a different country or have a new set of characters, but if it's Ellie again I won't complain.
Quink666
As long as Ellie is the main protagonist I’m interested in a sequel. Have little to no interest to play as Abby or the kid. Edited April 28, 2021 by Quink666

Strike-Runner
1st one amazing, 2nd one why, 3rd one let it die. I was really disappointed with last of us 2 how a game that had a strong beginning story, journey, characters, exploration, was great but the 2nd just destroyed it all. It contradicts a lot of things in the 1st one. I’m not hype for last of us 3 I sure as hell ant gonna get it at release cause I felt half of the 2nd game was ok. But hey not all games are ment for everyone to enjoy

StrickenBiged
I'd hope to see some more gameplay updates in any TLoU3. Adding the ability to go prone isn't going to cut it next time. As for the story, I'd hope that it wasn't so on-the-nose again. The first one was good because the characters were great and nuanced and the morality of the ending was ambiguous. There are theses written on whether or not Joel's actions were morally justifiable. The second one came nowhere near these heights; it left you no room for interpretation of the story or the morality of the characters involved. StraightVege
I thought Part II's conclusion was an adequate end for the franchise. What horrific shit are they gonna put these characters through next?
ShadowReplicant
I hope it's all about Abby. Ellie's journey is over, as far as I'm concerned.
