Popular Post ExHaseo
Ended up using my second swap to swap out Persona 5 Strikers with NEO The World Ends With You. It was between P5S and Jojo, and P5S is longer. So it got the boot. I also want to get every CC2 plat, and really only care about the P5S story. I'm planning on moving to Japan once I finish my degree, and working at CC2 has always been a dream of mine. I think being able to say I have every CC2 plat I think would be a fun thing to put on my resume when I apply and show that I have a good understanding of their games. Was hoping to be done with South Park before NTWEWY got here (supposed to be delivered today), but it doesn't look like that's happening. It has the kind of trophy that I've grown to hate more than any other. A difficulty specific trophy. I have to play through as a black character on hard mode. I absolutely hate these kinds of trophies, because I don't look at the trophy list of a game until I've beaten it (except for fighting/arcade style games). So everytime there's a trophy like this, it means I have to play the game over again because I always play on normal. It especially sucks in games like South Park that don't have a NG+. But oh well. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. It'll give me something to do while I listen to old lectures to study for finals at least. I'm hoping to be able to finish everything by the end of the event, but we'll see. I've got finals for my summer classes next week, but then I have a little over 2 weeks off until the fall semester starts. I'm finally taking classes that count for my major again (I'm an art major), and I want to focus on those classes. So I wont be able to participate in the next event, and anything I don't finish will probably just end up staying unfinished for a while. Even if I don't finish anything else, I'm pretty happy with getting 7 plats and finishing up these games though. Popular Post based_gigachad
My list: - Abzu (0%) - Wreckfest PS5 (0%) > Now 37% - Maneater PS4 (0%) > 100% - Maquette PS5 (0%) - Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered - NA Stack (71%) > Now 97% - Truck Racing Championship (0%) > 100% - We Were Here (0%) I've been away from home for a week and meant to post an update before I left but I forgot, I will be back in a couple of days to carry on progress. For Hot Pursuit Remastered, I cleaned up everything except one miscellaneous trophy because I wanted the platinum for that game to be my trophy #4500 and when i got to that point I started Wreckfest, only been playing career mode so far and completed the 3rd championship now as well as some misc trophies for earning credits, air time and wrecks. When I return, I'm now ready to finish off Hot Pursuit Remastered as the platinum will now line up to be the milestone trophy I wanted. I'm also swapping Far Cry 3 Classic Edition for We Were Here because I am yet to start that game and a friend of mine wants to play it before he goes to college in a couple of weeks, it is also convenient to swap because I have had less free time for gaming than I originally thought I would and it should be quicker to complete. Though it would be nice.... Most are JRPGs, visual novels, large open worlds, or lots of playthroughs. Popular Post L0sT_NZ_Kazekage
Friday update! Well last Friday I lied to myself saying I would save Demon's Souls for my 30th plat because I couldn't put it down and just got platinum! Took 59.5hrs but it was amazing. First playthrough was about 50hours haha. Well now I'm going to need a new PS5 game but that was a great way to start the generation. Until PS5 games go down in price I'm limiting myself to one uncompleted game for that system at a time to try avoid having a massive backlog like PS3/PS4 but we will see how that goes ? 1. Horizon Zero Dawn (100%) 2. Demon's Souls (35%) --> (100%) 3. Crash Team Racing (22%) 4. Until Dawn (11%) 5. God of War 1 (100%) 6. Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 14 - It's so close to the weekend and I'm lucky enough for it to be three days long due to a public holiday in my country on Monday. Nier:Replicant Spoiler I've spent my evenings this week playing Nier:Replicant and even though trophy progress hasn't increase much, I managed to do most of the material grind for the 'upgrade 33 weapons to max' trophy. The only other progress I made was story-based to push to what I think is the point of no return for this playthrough. Which I mainly did to fully open up some of the enemy spawns I need to kill for these upgrade material item drops. By grind, we're talking a PS3 era game grind which this PS4 remaster inherited. For some reason, which i've yet to put my finger on - it really reminded me of the Treasure Hunter trophy in Final Fantasy 13. My gut is telling me it's because the upgrade and weapon collection trophies in Nier are similarly intricate and tricky. Right now, I have two grind spots I need to spend a few hours on. The first is to get 15 Black Pearls and I definitely will need lot's of coffee, podcasts and shows on in the background to get me through it. Turns out you can only get a Black Pearl through a harvest point on a single beach in an NPC town called Seafront. It seems to be insanely rare too. So I'm going to have to repeatedly enter the town, hit the beach, harvest all the nodes hoping it drops over and over again, until i've hit 15. It's a weird drop rate and rarity, and I can't help but feel this is one thing they could have changed for the remaster without it subtracting anything from the game experience. The other grind is a bit more combat orientated and I can just spend a few hours killing enemies at a place called the Lost Temple to pick them all up. Once that is over, I think I have all of the super time consuming grindy stuff out of the way (fingers crossed). Figuring out the next challenge and beyond Spoiler In other news I'm starting to pull together a bigger list of games that I might include in the next challenge and I'm finding it hard to make a decision. I'm definitely going to be focusing a bit more on some indie games that I don't want to pass me by. But there are tonnes on my 'oh, that looks interesting!' list. Also, I am planning on making Yakuza 7, Judgement and Lost Judgement my main end-of-year games, so I want to make the most of this window before then. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I had a great time reading the latest batch of your updates with my morning coffee. See you in the next update! Popular Post Heather342
Update 9 Another week of Witchering has gone by, and I have made some solid progress with this game. After last week's update, I managed to complete the Gwent tournament (on my 3rd re-load attempt ?) but hadn't managed to unlock all the cards. Last Saturday then became a frantic search through all the players and merchants, the in game tracking book said I was missing 1 card. I'd been everywhere, followed the guide to the letter, was positive I'd picked up all of the missable cards. 2 hours I spent trying to track it down, I thought all was lost and I'd need to do this again in my next playthrough. But thankfully, through the power of the internet and Reddit forums, someone else was having the exact same problem, and it turns out one of the merchants still had the card hidden in their wares ? I have no idea how I overlooked it, I was certain I'd bought every card. What a relief when that trophy finally popped ? The rest of the week I continued through the story, as well as completing the Hearts of Stone DLC. I finished my first run of the game on easy mode, and I have just started the Blood and Wine DLC. My plan is to finish this and try and pick up the best weapons and armour to carry over into NG+ for my Death March run. I'm hoping it won't take as long as my first playthrough, as I won't need to do as many of the side quests but we shall see. I'm hoping I can finish at least this game before the end of the challenge. My own personal milestones have got in the way of my challenge progress this time, I highly doubt I will finish my list. But it's still been fun writing the weekly update and catching up on everyone else's backlog cleaning. Popular Post be_minor
Update #4: Since my last update, I started and completed both The Walking Dead and A Plague Tale: Innocence. As far as telltale games go, The Walking Dead is my absolute favorite, and was my first platinum when I transferred over to the PS4 in 2015. And as much as I enjoyed replaying The Walking Dead, I enjoyed A Plague Tale even more. Wow. As the big sister in my family, I felt immediately invested in Amicia’s story and guardianship of Hugo. It felt like the macabre cousin to Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, darker both environmentally and tonally… Next up: playing through Mass Effect 2 on Insanity. Popular Post DFuzed
Here again with my monthly update. As stated before, because the end of the month ended on a Saturday, where I typically do a weekly update, I'm doing my monthly, more expansive, update today. There were many games I played this month, with some which were close to be done, some that I played and finished quickly, some that were done on the side and some were done as my main source of trophies. Without further adieu, let's delve into them: Assassin's Creed Valhalla: So when Assassin's Creed Origins came out, I almost finished the game when they started annoying me with notices about DLC that was available. I vowed not to play another AC game for a long time. I kept that vow with AC Odyssey and the remastered versions of older games. But AC Valhalla got my attention and looked interesting. I played it on PS4 and, with the exception of the bream being bugged, didn't have many problems with it. The PS5 though was a different thing. First the guy who challenges you midway through the game at the homestead glitched on me. So stopped playing it, went to other games and waited for a patch for it. Then the game glitched a zealot which made the game impossible to plat. So second game, did plenty of catch up and got done most things, only to run into two issues; I couldn't get the Completionist trophy with the Saint Faith Mystery bugged and I unintentionally glitched Supplies appearing in small chests, which happened when I started looking into the Mastery side quest. So I finished everything but those two things and waited. So last week they fixed both glitches, which ended with me spending an evening running around looking for Supplies (I stopped opening chests once I saw the glitch) and finished the last Mystery to plat the game. Not going to play AC game again, at least for a few years. Spiderman Remastered: So went in to this with no knowledge of how hard this game would be. Only to find that, at least on the easiest difficulty, the game was quick to get trophies in. So fast that I had to stop playing the game early on because I had reached my daily limit early. With a couple of exceptions, mostly on Saturdays, I got these trophies done, as well as a couple of the Remastered trophies unintentionally, which were not counted towards my daily objectives. I am seriously considering playing the PS4 version as I enjoyed zipping along the skylines and webbing bad guys thoroughly. The mandatory stealth parts not so much, although MJs got better in the later stages. The Taskmaster challenges were a mixed bag, the stealth and fighting challenges were fun while I struggled with the drone and bomb ones. Spiderman Miles Morales: I went straight to this game after the first Spiderman game and, while it kept some of the moves and introduced new ones, I'm not liking some of the things. Mainly I miss having Web Impact and Web bombs as well as the one ability that shoots webbing in every direction. Some things, like the challenges and the lack of stealth sections are nice, and collectables are not as prominent in this compared to the first game, which means less to do overall. Still got many things left to do, including story missions and the App missions. But liking it overall so far. Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Originally I planned for this to be something as a backup game for daily trophies while playing Spiderman Remastered but I was finding plenty of downtime since Spiderman was fulfilling my daily limit really fast. So I switched it to a game to play on the side and work on it when I was done when I was done my daily trophies. Like I mentioned in my last update, I haven't played a hack 'n' slash game in years, last one being a One Piece game on the PS3 at a time when the PS4 hadn't been even discussed. And I enjoyed it quite a bit. It took some time though, as I didn't realize how to get accessories, weapons and stat buffs through medals until my characters were roughly level 17 or so. I was struggling to finish zones that were close to their levels and tried to grind out to be higher to no avail. Once I did though it made the obvious difference. Finished the game without missing any of the dialogs needed for a couple trophies as well as the dungeons that were needed to get another trophy. Then did the Colessium and Tower trophies. Leaving with grinding out their Lily Levels (effectively how well they get along) as that took the longest to do. Having in-game cheats helped immensely, which allowed me to clear rooms fast and aggressively. It took time, as there 45 combinations that needed to do this, but the ranks they had going into this, as well as running pairs through the tower, made it not as bad. Maneater: Not much to say, since I had the game mostly done before the month started. Only had two license plates to get, which took a few tries, and killing off the last bounty hunter on the list for one trophy. Like I said before, I plan to play this on the PS4 next year on Shark Week, as it was fun to play and enjoyed a different type of game compared to my usual genres. Ladders (PS4 and PS5) Originally planned to use these as backup games for trophies, but playing the first one convinced me that they weren't going to work. Some of the Powgi games are really good for this and some aren't. And this game was definitely not good for it. I had the first game half done within an hour and finished the next day, and the second game done quicker. Only had to look up how to do a few of the answers and where to get the 'Q' trophy and the 'bad word' trophy for these, otherwise they generally popped without much effort. Epic Word Search Collection 2 (PS4): I haven't had to use many trophies from here this month, mostly to cover for one trophy on a Saturday and two trophies on a different Saturday. Nothing special really, have the gold and silver trophies done, with bronze trophies for finding specific words in the crosswords to finish off, which will take no time to do. That's it for now. Only a few games left on my list so I might add a couple games I planned to use for the next Backlog Challenge. Otherwise it's been a busy gaming month and lots was done. I'll see where I am after Spiderman Miles Morales and if I need to add more or not.
Popular Post based_gigachad
My list: - Abzu (0%) - Wreckfest PS5 (37%) > Now 90% - Maneater PS4 (0%) > 100% - Maquette PS5 (0%) - Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered - NA Stack (97%) > Now 100% - Truck Racing Championship (0%) > 100% - We Were Here (0%) > Now 33% Finished off the last trophy on Hot Pursuit Remastered to earn the platinum for my trophy #4500, then put a short bit of time into We Were Here with a friend. I don't usually play co-op games and I don't think I'm a fan of this one so far, there was one level I found frustrating and given that I was hungover I did not really want to put up with it so I'll pick that up again another time. Instead, I put a lot of hours into Wreckfest yesterday, completing career mode and earning all the trophies that you can unlock in single player. The last trophy I have to earn is for winning 20 events online, which I did start making progress towards last night for a couple hours. If I set up a boosting session on site I probably could have had this done in under an hour quite comfortably but 20 isn't much and driving games are my favourite genre, not to mention I've got a good selection of vehicles to choose from after completing everything else! So given that the servers are well populated and that I really enjoy the game I'm going to do these wins legit, I wasn't keeping an exact count but I estimate I've got at least 10 of them already if not closer to 15 so I'll see if I can get this finished sooner rather than later.
Popular Post Hisuiryu
Week 9 We've just hit the final month of the event and thankfully my list is looking a lot better! I finished up Okami towards the end of the week, I really loved playing through this, the gameplay and story is great and the exploration is a lot of fun - I only glanced at the guide to check the timing of the missables for backup saves, the fish list and to get the last 3 or 4 collectables, everything else I got easily through just playing... which is great! If they decide to remaster this for PS5 I'll definitely play it again (I mean, it's been on PS2-4 so why not). Once that was done I played my first PS5 game - Astro's Playroom! Of course it's not challenging and it's basically a showcase for the controller, but it's also a fun little platformer which I enjoyed a lot. Easy and quick competition too so I moved onto my next game pretty sharply. ...Which was Mass Effect! Even if it took a bit to get around to it, I love the ME series and was excited for the remasters... and it hasn't disappointed. The changes made to ME1 are great, enough to make it feel way less dated, but not too much to stop it feeling like ME1 which was one of my concerns. This is probably the most fun I've had playing the first game in all the times I've played! The change to the trophy list from the original version makes it a very low pressure plat, more or less all I have to do now it clear the final few main missions (Noveria, Virmire then the endgame), and even playing on Insanity has been pretty easy - a few deaths here and there mostly to the 1-shot enemies, but now that I've hit the high level gear and upgrades I doubt I'll die again... I have so much weapon force on my pistol I just knock everything over lol. Popular Post Stanners316
Update #3: I've been putting off this update for a while now, I haven't made great progress in this challenge unfortunately. I finished the 2nd chapter of Death Mark. I really like hunting for clues and such, and the nerve-wracking encounters (whereby you select actions or answers to questions based on what you've learnt) are not that punishing if you happen to get them wrong. The reload system for a game over is pretty good. The jump scares are fun and some of the artwork is lush. Really enjoying playing it when I can at the moment. I finally holed a bunker shot and got a hole in one on PGA Tour 2K21 to push the trophy progress along a bit. I think I've got about 10 events to go in the PGA Tour season to clean up the remainder of the trophies. I won't be adding to my progress any more during this challenge unfortunately. A very close friend of mine passed away at the end of June unexpectedly. She was 28 and the closest I'll have to a little sister so I've been struggling to come to terms with it. I've tried to lose myself in the world of RDR2 and I've finished off the DLC for AC: Odyssey but my play time is very sporadic and non-committal so specifically aiming to finish set games isn't on the cards for the time being. I think it's perspective. I do always read your updates either over morning coffee or while I'm having my dinner and I'll continue to enjoy these. I just can't commit to anything for the time being. I won't be far away though and I'll rejoin in the future. Take care of yourselves ❤️? 1. PGA Tour 2K21 - 50% ➡️ 69% 2. Resident Evil 3 - 53% 3. The Outer Worlds - 44% 4. Death Mark - 5% ➡️ 20% 5. Popular Post willythom88
So a little update. I'm about done with Metrico, Fancy Pants Adventure and Total Recoil. Next week should be all Beyond Good and Evil, and then the next will be the smaller titles (Red Goddess, Danger Zone) I plan to pepper in Disgaea where I can and then finish off with Asdivine Hearts. I got a little overzealous with my time so I don't expect PErsona 4 to get done.
Popular Post StilRh
@Stanners316 my sincere condolences for the loss of your friend. I totally get getting lost in RDR2, when my father passed some years ago I must have been spending 70 hours a week playing WOW to distract from and process the mental anguish. I hope you start to feel your usual self soon. Try to care for yourself during this challenging time *hugs* Update time: This week I spent 10 hours on Assassins Creed with only 4% bump to show for it. I feel I am close to quite a few more thought. I did some mats grinding in Nier. The rest of my time I played with off list games that I am now adding to my list so the list reflects my efforts during this challenge. I'm still optimistic about doing well in my final month, probably won't complete everything but I'd like another platinum or two and to improve my overal game completion percentage.
