Popular Post Bubblegum_Crash
First update! ... on the second to last day of the event. I finally finished Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition today. With four additional DLC to complete, I ended up spending just over two months to get 100%. I kept putting off making an update in early July because I wanted to finish the game first but the second DLC set me back quite a bit.. Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. The guide on PSNP begins by saying "In perhaps the worst DLC in the franchise.. " I haven't played the other games in the franchise, but of the four DLC in the first game, it -is- the worst. It's nothing but waves in three different arenas. The first section requires completing 5 waves in all three areas but after that.. you have to do 20 waves each. It took many hours to get through this one.. Overall, I enjoyed the main game quite a bit. The DLCs were hit and miss for me. A lot of the voice work had me laughing out loud at times and I can see why it's a popular series. I'll definitely give the other games a try at some point. Of the games I listed, I was able to complete 4/10. Maneater - fun if a bit repetitive. Secret of Mana - I missed playing this one on the Super Nintendo. Overall, I thought it was average. The soundtrack has its moments though and I do want to try Trials of Mana soon. Rime - I don't want to give anything away about the story but I think this game is worth playing. That ending! The soundtrack is nice too. I do want to sign up for the Fall/Winter challenge so I'll try to post a list tomorrow. I'll certainly move some of the games that are unfinished from this to the next. I always check in every couple of days to read all of your updates and I'll make a stronger effort to post more often in the next challenge.
Popular Post dark_moon689
4th Update: Terrible event for me, I borrowed my ps3 so didn't keep working on God of War, started Murder Soul Suspect as swap for Infamous Second Son but didn't finished it, I have been enjoying it though, made some progress on My Time at Portia which has been following me around for a couple of events and although I find relaxing I only play on little burst at time. I won't be finishing any of the 3 games tomorrow because I have a bunch stuff to do for work. Wanted to finish at least one today so I was over 50% completion but it was not to be... I will sign up for the next one and keep working through my backlog. As always is been great to read about everyone's progress as much or as little as our lives allowed and your opinions, recommendations or rants on the different games. 1. Popular Post Hisuiryu
Final update: So I was away for a bit (which is why I didn't update last week) and my plans to finish up ME2 & 3 before the month ended went down in flames! None the less, I finished up ME2 over the weekend and made a good start in 3, which I'll be getting through in the coming weeks - I'll likely get a few more trophies before the day is out but this is pretty much where I'm finishing this event. All in all had fun this time around, finally playing FF13 and Okami, games I've been meaning to play for years, was fantastic despite the plat grind involved in the former. Tropico is a lot of fun and I'll be playing the DLC in the near future to finish it up, and continue chipping away at Soul Sacrifice, both games being long-standing entries on my profile that I never got around to playing enough. Although not part of my original plans, getting a PS5 and having the opportunity to drop Astro into my list was a lot of fun! And finally revisiting the new release of one of my favourite game series is always going to be a positive to me - and the remasters are definitely worthwhile Final Fantasy XIII - 100% Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - 100% Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition - 43% → 100% Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition - 0% → 24% Astro's Playroom - 100% Okami - 100% Soul Sacrifice - 51% → 52% Tropico 5 - 72% Swaps: 1/2 In the end 5/8 games completed, and one other platted but not 100% - pretty good all in all with the other things I've been playing as well. Now to put together my list for the next event ? Edited September 1, 2021 by Hisuiryu

Popular Post Cruscah
Weekly Update #12 (The Last One) Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! I'm happy with 16 games completed, I would never play some of them if wasn't for the challenge. This week, specialy, I'll be talking about the 4 games that I didn't get done. Also, I hope to see some of you guys in the Fall/Winter challenge --- Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) This was most laziness than anything else, I'm not a fan of the franchise and the game is only on my list because my little sister used to play on my PS3 before I give her the PS4. I still plan to finish the game and get all the obtainables trophies (including the online ones *sigh*), but I'll not add this one to the new challenge. Little Nightmares (PS4) Spoiler I didn't like this one and I'm sad about that, the game looks good and I saw so many people recommend it, I think it's just not my type of game. Subnautica (PS5) I know that I can get the platinum in less than 2 hours, but I want to actually enjoy the game first and even to get everything legitimately if it end up being a good experience overall, unfortunately there wasn't a single moment during the challenge that I was in the mood of playing it. Thumper (PS4) Spoiler An amazing game for sure, but I'm taking easy on it, only playing a few sub-levels each time that I jump into it. --- Weekly Update #01 Weekly Update #02 Swap #01 & Addition #01 Weekly Update #03 Weekly Update #04 Swap #02 Weekly Update #05 Weekly Update #06 Weekly Update #07 Weekly Update #08 Weekly Update #09 Weekly Update #10 Weekly Update #11
Popular Post MidnightDragon
This is my final update for summer. I decided not to play another game, so my challenge ends with 5/6 games complete, which is a hell of a lot more than I have done in the past. Anyway, thank you all for participating and hope to see you in the next challenge. It starts tomorrow!
Popular Post be_minor
Update #6: I finished Rain, an atmospheric journey that was more reminiscent of a children’s book than a video game at times. The collectibles were unnecessary but too few to really be a nuisance. And with that, I’ve 100% my summer backlog list! Nothing was terribly difficult to complete, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed most of my time with them. As always, thanks for hosting @MidnightDragon ; it’s been a pleasure reading everyone’s updates and progress reports. On to finalizing my beefy backlog list for the Fall/ Winter Challenge. Red = Haven’t startedGreen = Progress madeBlue = Completed 100% 1. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 2. Maneater (PS5) 3. Mass Effect (PS4) 4. Mass Effect 2 (PS4) 5. Mass Effect 3 (PS4) 6. Overall have made progress in each on the list and got half of them finished which I’m reasonably happy with. A couple of these get punted to the next one and the rest I might keep chipping away at. Thanks for the challenge, see you in the next one.
Popular Post DFuzed
Final update for August 31st: Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS5) Maneater Lego Star Wars (PS3) - 89% Phil-a-Pix (Vita) Hyperdimension Neptunia U Spiderman (PS5) Spiderman Miles Morales (PS5) Ladders by Powgi (PS4) Ladders by Powgi (PS5) Epic Word Search Collection 2 (PS4) Doki Doki Literature Club - 80% +39% Hades - 100% First thanks to @MidnightDragon for running this. It's been a year since I've been a part of these challenges and enjoyed doing them. That I'm keep joining these challenges and signed up for the next challenge says something about how much I am liking this. Now onto this month's review of the games I played: Spiderman Miles Morales - I played this immediately after playing the original Spiderman game. Compared to the original game it was definitely dialed down the need for various tokens and being careful on what they were used for. And the lack of unskippable stealth missions was a significant difference too. The story was decent and I could see the potential love interest a mile away. Especially enjoyed the sound mix tape missions and listening to the final sound (enough that I made a separate save just before it to listen to it a few times). But I could see who the antagonist was a mile away and some of the missions weren't really interesting. Overall though it was a decent and might play the PS4 version some time. Hades - I watched a review of this game when it first came out on PC and the Switch and just knew, eventually, it would make its way here. I've enjoyed games like this, ranging from Binding of Issac Rebirth and Dead Cells (fun fact: my decision to do two trophies a day stemmed from wanting Binding of Issac Rebirth platinum trophy as a milestone trophy). The randomness of each run, sometimes (many times to be honest) dying in a run but getting something for my efforts. And clearing the run to watch the story unfold and, when that was done, listen to the announcer give sometimes humorous reasons why Zagreus dies. Some of the trophies seemed impossible but I focused on them on several rounds (and abused the cloud save/load ability) I managed to get the few trophies I was worried about. The only issue was that it was short compared to other similar games. Enjoyed thoroughly and putting the PS4 version on my to play list sometime in the future. Doki Doki Literature Club - Another game that caught my attention immediately was DDLC. I knew coming in that it was a good horror game and it didn't disappoint. Like I didn't play it around my girlfriend because I knew she wouldn't like it and didn't play without lights on and the game muted. Yes I'm a chicken but I don't care. Still in the middle of playing it overall and while I have finished the game, I'm still getting the side missions done and unlocking all the CGs. Probably finish it this week. Lego Star Wars Clone Wars - Finally got back to playing this when I pulled it out the PS3 and loaded the game. Got lots done, mind you I was far into it the last time I played it. One or two more nights playing it I should be done. And I want to get it done before the Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga comes out, so going to try to get back to it soon and finally finish it. Not much left really, mostly getting all of the Gold Lego bricks, playing three 2-player games and one or two other trophies. Epic Word Search Collection 2 (PS4) - Although the plan was to work on DDLC, I was having too much fun with Hades that I didn't have time (ie playing the game late into the night) to get other trophies done. That and knowing that the end of the challenge was close, I chose to get this game done and over with. A standard, typical game I play for daily trophies, it was decent and did was needed overall. Nothing that made it boring but it wasn't exciting either. That's it for this challenge. I will see some of you guys in the next challenge.

freddie1989
As always got to end with a final standing! Not exactly what I had planned for this challenge but knocked a couple off the list. Agents of Mayhem is way more grindy than I expected but nearly there with that one now so likely finish that up while I start on the new challenge.
