Other than that, I have downloaded Control again and will pick up from where I left off a couple months ago. Great work everyone, it's great reading all the updates! Mutant blobs was a really fun game, and Drinkbox studios really utilised the features of the Vita so well. The Extinction trophy can be a bit tricky, and some of the score requirements for Golden Blob are pretty tight. Tip in case you need it, to get better scores don't roll on the cows to eat them, smash them first, they turn into multiple burgers which you can eat to get bigger scores ?
Popular Post Stanners316
Update #1: 1. PGA Tour 2K21 - 50% 2. The Outer Worlds - 0% ➡️ 44% 3. Resident Evil 3 - 20% 4. Death Mark - 2% ➡️ 5% 5. Lego Movie 2 - 0% 6. The Walking Dead Final Season - 0% It's about time for my first update! I've only managed to play a few days so far this month. I've been tending to lean towards reading in the sun on my days off. I'm also quite a big football (UK) fan so I'm watching a lot of the Euros tournament at the moment. (Got England in the work sweepstakes for the 1st time ever. Eng-er-land!) Nevertheless, I haven't made such a bad start to the challenge. I've also basically stuck to one game which is totally unlike me! I like that there's different ways to play The Outer Worlds. I guess I love speech checks. Having a high enough persuade, intimidate, lie, science, medical skill lets you unlock different conversation threads and lets you avoid or instigate conflict. Apparently that's the easy way to complete Supernova (hard mode). Load out your skill points cleverly and "blag" your way through. The combat has successfully grown on me. I was worried at the start because it seemed really tricky, with your bullets barely making a dent in the weakest enemies' health bars. The inventory menu could make it a little clearer as to what's what, with a pop up overlay showing the stats of each weapon obscuring the other weapons. There doesn't seem to be a sort function. I did get the hang of tinkering and moding weapons and armour and got a bit more knowledgeable about what guns to use/not to use. The difficulty seems to be a bit up and down though. It started off a bit hard, then levelled out, but now I'm clearing up before the point of no return, all the enemies seem a little too easy, especially to achieve the amount of kills for different miscellaneous trophies. Question to people who have completed it - can I clear up the kill trophies during the DLCs? Stuff like 50 sneak attack kills and 100 plasma damage kills etc? I've got all the missable story trophies already. I just feel like I'm running around grinding now without much to show for it. Story wise, it's a bit of a shame but it hasn't completely gripped me. I like the companion interactions however. I like my space stuff to, so it's a bit of a let down that your view from the ship is a bit limited because it could look fantastic. I'm a big fan of seeing different planets up close in the sky when exploring worlds so I've appreciated that, but it's made me want to play No Man's Sky because I feel like I'd get more of that, plus more variation of "alien stuff". I might put this down now for a bit and move onto Resident Evil 3 to keep it fresh. Death Mark is going to be great, I just need to give myself more than an hour stint to play it. It highlighted some stick drift I have because it seems to be very sensitive when choosing options, so I bought a new back up controller for it (keeping it in a dust free box). A genuine official PS4 dualshock controller in blue? Nope mate, a P4 gaming controller that rumbles 5 times as long as it should. Where's that ebay seller? Oh, he's gone ?. Not going to dispute it, the price indicated it wasn't official. It'll serve it's purpose anyhow. I had my 1st jab last Saturday, great moment. I risked an 8hr bar shift straight after and I was fine. Only had an ache when I proded my one and only tattoo and said "they jabbed me right through the tattoo", then it took me back to school days with a bit of a dead arm. The updates are great, I've been reading them all each morning. I never really got into Mass Effect so I'm really tempted to at some point because of how much you guys are loving it! @Crispy_Oglop - great news you're on the vaccination list! That's an awful long time you haven't seen your family for. It must feel great to have a date to look forward to. Having something to look towards makes a big difference I feel. I haven't seen my best mate in a year and a half but he's driving 3 hours west from London next weekend to visit so I'm looking forward to that! Hope everyone's as well as they can be. Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Been working on Going Under plus some indie games I got on sale recently that aren't part of the challenge; this last week has been dedicated to the imposter mode added in the Working from Home update, essentially a traditional roguelike experience that combines the three dungeons into a linear experience with a special end boss, and modifiers as you progress in difficulty. Sounds fun; the only problem is that it's balanced for shit. The game actively gives you less skills for these runs, e.g. you no longer get skills at the end of every floor, and on top of that makes mentorships mostly useless. I spent 3-4 days trying to get the first level done, it took me like 40 runs, and when I found out I had to do 6 more (each with cumulative modifiers, like taking damage every time you equip a skill) I just said, "fuck it" and turned assist mode on - but even with it the later modifiers can make some runs just completely nonviable. Honestly, this game is a perfect example of why I usually don't touch DLC trophies; the base game is one of the better roguelikes I've played and very well put together, but Imposter Mode is an absolute mess and a massive downgrade from the base game experience. It's still very much a game I'd recommend to anyone not obligated to 100% it, because the platinum itself is fine. Anyway, I'll probably start Night in the Woods, which I've been meaning to play for quite a while now, after this game is done; should be a nice change of pace. I actually had done that in a way; I just got through a level with lasers - I used them to kill the cows ? And I completely agree with your statement re: Drinkbox and the features of the Vita; from what I've seen, their games seen to be some of the few from 3rd party studios that really make use of the full capability of the handheld

Popular Post ExHaseo
Finished up ME3, bringing my journey through the ME series to a close once again. ME3 is easily my favorite in the series. I'm still a little sad we didn't get the multiplayer, but it's probably for the best. I'd be spending all my time playing that if it had been included haha. I tried playing Fatal Bullet, but I do not remember what to do, or where I'm at, or anything about that game. I'll probably end up swapping it out, because I don't want to have to replay it from scratch to figure out how the game works again. For now, I've moved on to Ys VIII though. It's pretty good so far. Kind of getting sick of the Ys Seven battle system at this point though. I've never been the biggest fan of it, because I generally don't like being forced to use characters I don't like. It's still overall fun though. Popular Post Phantochi
Update #3 Just like last week, i made a bit of progress in every game. Finished my first playthrought of FF Remake 7 and jumped right into Hard mode, i played in Normal at first and not gonna lie, the game is not easy, so i'm expecting some boss fights and flying enemies to give me a headache. Practice a few levels in RE Revelations 2 and managed to beat the first one in speed run mode, didn't had the same luck with invisible enemies mode tho, but i'm getting there. For Anthem, i'm almost done with Javelins and Weapons challenges, i'll be done with those in the next week and all i'll have left is the collectibles. Also, made some progress through both GTA San Andreas and Vice City main missions. That's about it for me, glad to see everyone is making some progress as well, i love reading everyone's progress review, so keep it up guys. - Anthem (58%) >>>>>> 61% - Final Fantasy VII Remake (44%) >>>>>> 55% - One Piece Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition (34%) - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (22%) >>>>>> 25% - Extinction (38%) >>>>>> 40% - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (21%) - Resident Evil Revelations 2 (17%) >>>>>> 24% - Darksiders Warmastered Edition (21%) >>>>>> 22%
Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys, that lovely time again. Managed to finish Pyre, pretty nice game but nowhere just didn't hold me like Bastion or Transistor. I played some Desperados and Warhammer (servers seem to be dying already?) and just this morning started Ratchet and Clank. This week I will finish Ratchet and Clank, chip away at some of the longer games and I might try for the first ending in Nier or making significant progress in Rebel Galaxy (a game I love to start but seem to put down and forget about over and over). Popular Post Heather342
Update 3 I spent this week playing more of Little Hope and completed another 2 playthroughs, one where you have to choose all the 'Head' decisions and one where you have to choose all 'Heart' decisions. Some other misc trophies popped along the way with these 2 plays, so the rest should just be chapter select clean up. I also booted up AC Black Flag last night, and had a little go of the Aveline DLC. Managed to get one new trophy for killing a guard ringing a bell. Trophy progress Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope - 29 -> 50% Assassin's Creed Black Flag - 13 -> 14% I will be taking a slight gaming detour in the coming weeks. I have been planning to have the plat for Persona 5 as my milestone trophy #3000 (I'm currently on 2981), so I will be starting my new game+ on that pretty soon. Just need to complete the persona compendium and beat the twins. Once that is out of the way I will be back on the challenge and straight back to The Witcher for my 50th platinum. Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 5 - I made some decent progress in Mass Effect 2 which i'm having a blast with right now. As soon as the game begins and it opens on this shot, the nostalgia came flooding back to me. Spoiler Again, similar to Mass Effect, they have done a great job with making everything look visually improved in the sequel. There were definitely some lovely vistas and landscapes which make the photo mode a really great addition. One planet had a hazard warning where your shields would burn out the longer you stayed in the sun and the lighting was really beautiful. Spoiler Oh and on the topic of the Photo Mode, one thing that it can really let you do is break through the game environment slightly and see things that we probably weren't meant to see close up. There are certain parts of the Normandy SR-2 where you can break through the wall and outside of the level itself which is fascinating. Also pretty much most of the crowds in clubs and bars that are situated up high and in the far unreachable background are actually just 2-D low res cut-outs. Which I guess for it's time makes sense, from the distance they look fine and do a good job of making the environment look full of people living their lives while being a minimal performance drain on the original PS3. Spoiler In terms of progress though, I've pretty much got everyone loyal and recruited, apart from one of my favourite ME series characters, but more on him in my next update. I'm also being as thorough as I possibly can be with all of the side content. I want to see and do everything before I move into tackling the Insanity difficulty in NG+ mode and playing this game with most, if not all of the DLC and content included really made me realise just how huge this game is as a result. As far as Paramour II for the additional trophy set is concerned - Jack was always my romance option in ME2 & ME3 back in the day, but this time i'm going to go with Tali who seems to be a fan favourite, I wonder if they did anything in this remaster for us to actually see her face this time around. I guess we'll see! Outside of that, in real life, I'm getting better at cooking on the BBQ and enjoying the sun while it lasts. Today i'm learning how to cook vegetable and meat skewers, which will either go well or set the garden on fire. Usually in Ireland, 1 day of sun = 3 days of rain, so i'm definitely making the most of that in the evenings. I also have my 1st vaccine appointment set for this Wednesday, so i'm rushing to get as much done at work today and tomorrow, just in case I get knocked on my ass by side effects. I'm going to stock up on vitamins, healthy food and meds in preparation. Anyway, that's me for now! I think I'll have the ME2 platinum in the bag this week. I'm not sure how long Insanity will take me, I remember back on the PS3 there were some super tricky parts. Thanks for the updates, I've really enjoyed reading them It's always nice to read about the experiences people have had with their games. I've definitely discovered some stuff I might never have known about and marked a few games for future challenges as a result. Catch you later!
