This is not a port of AI the Somnium Files, it’s a direct sequel.

^ this

It's called AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES – nirvanA Initiative

Could there be a game series made of all the games that require the purchasing of another game to obtain. ArmoredSnowman and I already put forth the idea of an "Addon" tag earlier which was rejected so how about just a game series?

There's about 7 games I know of that would go in the series of addon games, probably even more that i dont know about.

@BlindMango Hot Shots Tennis is missing from the Everybody’s Golf series. Probably as a “no stage” game? Everybody’s Putter Golf as well.

Also Zen Pinball and Pinball FX are the same series, they just stopped using different titles for PS and Xbox. So they should probably be merged into one series.

Hamster considers the ACA NeoGeo a series and they do not call it "Arcade Archives NeoGeo" in any context:

ACA NEOGEO | HAMSTER Corporation

It's a branding like DmC: Devil May Cry rather than an abbreviation like GTA IV. It is used to differentiate the games from the other Arcade Archive games and Hamster uses this official branding for the ACA NeoGeo games everywhere: the trophy lists call them "ACA NeoGeo" if you look at them on your console, the eShop does, the Xbox Marketplace, the PSN store, all other trophy tracking sites and the achievement lists. Everywhere.

Try searching for "arcade archives king of fighters" on the PSN store. Then do the same with "aca neogeo king of fighters".

It is a branding, not just an abbreviation.

I don't really think this is debatable to be frank. "I'm not gonna change the names of 108 games that barely anyone plays" is a perfectly valid excuse but then write it instead of "we changed GTA IV". That is not a similar situation. GTA IV is called "Grand Theft Auto IV" right on the box art. ACA NeoGeo games only use the ACA NeoGeo branding.

"NeoGeo" also provides more precise information than "Arcade Archives" for that matter.

This Escape Game series needs another looking at I think.

I couldn’t find any link between the Aloha game and the Fort Boyard games: different devs, different publishers, different branding, similar title. I don’t think they are the same series.

Also, with the Fort Boyard games, there are three (so stage 2 is wrong linking two separate ones):

• “Fort Boyard” (released 2019)

• “Escape Game Fort Boyard: (released 2020)

• “Fort Boyard 2022” (released 2022)

Easy mistake to make though as the lazy devs just copy/pasted the trophy list from the first, to the second game.

Wikipedia shows the different games in the series (for reference).

Other than having Escape Game in the title, they're not even remotely connected. The Aloha one is an obscure indie puzzle game no-one remembers, whereas Fort Boyard is based on a European game show that was hugely popular in the late 90's/early 2000's.

The Aloha games need removing completely and the series renamed to Fort Boyard.

@HuntingFever Thanks for the back-up on “Escape Game”. ?

Would you agree with these above as well? Especially Zen Pinball / Pinball FX.

Hello!

I'm not sure why but this game is listed a a digital version:

https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/14950-deathsmiles-iii

The copy of the game I own is the Japanese physical version, not sure if this is just a weird quirk of having an English account or not?

Not urgent by any means, just wanted to bring this to your attention. Thanks!

There's no clean way to tag this list. Yes, it includes the Japanese disc, but the second list is purely physical and is based around https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/collections/deathsmiles-1-2. So, maybe this list shouldn't be tagged, while the other keeps the PHYSICAL label?

I wonder which list the EU retail physical will use...

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with Brainwashing Game Teki Paki, it's bundled with Tiger Heli but one game is a war combat arcade game and another is a brick breaking game. They don't seem related to each other series-wise

Then there's Hi Sho Same which also seems similar to Tiger Heli but seemingly aren't in the same series? They don't share the same name or I'm not seeing enough to see that one is a base game and one is a sequel

I have done all these games & can hopefully clear this up a bit. The Tiger Heli & Hi Sho Same compilations belong to the 'Toaplan Arcade Garage' series. Teki Paki comes as a code with the physical versions of both volumes. The digital versions also include Teki Paki but I have physicals & I'm not sure if it's included with the base game or dlc.

It would make sense to include Teki Paki in a Toaplan Arcade Garage series along with those two compilations that are already released since buying one of those is the only way to get it. There might be more volumes in future as there are definitely enough Toaplan games left so making this a series might be worth doing for that reason as well.

*Edit* I didn't really want to push the issue but I just checked some logos on game boxes & technically 'Toaplan Arcade Garage' is a sub-series of the M2 Shot Triggers series which includes the following in chronological order (hopefully this is all complete & correct. Memories are a little hazy. I wait all year for these & then the trophy lists barely last a day):

Battle Garegga: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/5682-battle-garegga-rev2016/
