Popular Post Spacey_Dweeb
I finished up my third game for the event this week. It was Ni No Kuni II. Overall the game was pretty good. There seemed to be like four distinct phases to the platinum. There's working through the story line stuff for about 40 hours; followed by about 20 hours of side quests and collecting things, then another 15 for building up your army and doing skirmishes, then a few hours worth of grinding to be high enough level to finish the Forest Maze which has a boss in it that can range from about level 95-110 depending on your danger level in the maze. Danger level is somewhat out of your control, it raises up 1 level for every 10 minutes or so you spend in the maze. You can sometimes find things to lower it and sometimes you can't. I'm pretty sure it's procedurally generated so you never know exactly how its going to turn out. From there I messed around with some of the DLC, but they aren't very entertaining and the first DLC basically just extends the forest maze to make it longer and the enemies about 20 levels higher, so I think it just means more grinding. From there, I decided another break was in order and messed around with other games, mostly Mass Effect 3, which will be my focus this week. Hopefully next Monday, I'll be writing about finishing my fourth game for the event. Current Plan: Little Hope - 22% A Rose in Twilight - 1% Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - 100% AC3: Liberation - 1% Immortals Fenyx Rising - 4% Resident Evil 7 (base game) - 93% Alien Isolation: 15%>>>17% Mass Effect 3 - 19%>>>31% Mass Effect 2 - 100% Ni No Kuni 2 (base game) - 83%>>>100%
Popular Post ladynadiad
0 - Sparkle 2 (PS4) ✔️ 1 - Metropolis: Lux Obscura (NA Vita) 2 - Norman's Great Illusion (NA Vita) 3 - Pic-A-Pix Color 2 (NA PS4) 4 - Portal of Evil: Stolen Runes (NA PS4), Nier Automata 5 - Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, Goosebumps: The Game, Treasures of Montezuma 4 (94%) 6 - Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk 7 - Kotodama, Block-A-Pix Deluxe (NA PS4), Dragon Quest XI 8 - Shiness The Lightning Kingdom (1%), Corpse Party: Blood Drive 9 - Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, Flower, Earthlock, The Tower of Beatrice (NA Vita) Finished another game and now have five games done and earned a badge. Metropolis Lux Obscura was better than Norman's Great Illusion and more worth the time and money, was another 99 cent title and a nice mix of an adventure game and a match 3 puzzle game. I do wonder how in the hell it was even allowed on PSN because the game does have very graphic sexual content. Seriously, it has art of bare nipples and an outright sex scene and was only rated M. Probably only got away with it since the sex scene didn't show any genitals, but other games have had to censor far less revealing content before. And with how badly I'm doing with Treasures of Montezuma 4, I may be needing to find a reasonable length 5 title. Maybe I'll luck out and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be a useful number (and maybe even a 5!) since that comes out later this month.
Popular Post Jens
0 - Final Fantasy 7 Remake 1 - Salt and Sanctuary 2 3 - Valiant Hearts 4 - Spirit of the North 5 - What Remains of Edith Finch 6 - A Plague Tale: Innocence 7 - Block-a-Pix Deluxe 8 - Ys IX: Monstrum Nox 9 - SaGa Frontier Remastered Once more keeping it short for story purposes. I think this one could be a perfect walking simulator, at least from the perspective of a walking simulator noob. It kept my attention up at all times in contrast to other examples I've played (looking at you, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture), the trophy list was super simple which is welcomed for such a simple game concept (unlike moonwalking into a bush for 30 seconds like in Everybody's Gone to the Rapture), the walking speed was very adequate for the short distances you walked (not like in Everysnail's Gone to the Rapture), I genuinely cared about the story it told (not like the story in Everybody's Bored in the Rapture). It looks great, has a pleasant pace (for a walking simulator ), pretty good. It might even make me give some other ones another chance to be honest. I thought a WS just wouldn't be my thing, but I might be wrong after all. Either that or I'm getting old. Now it's time concluding GbN with our platinum #200, stay tuned!

ThatMuttGuy
Wow!!! Everyone is making huge progress in the event! I've actually been a bit sidetracked in other games that won't count, but I've been making some progress for my #3 game, Megadimension Neptunia VII. I just have to pick up the slack and finish these last few games!

Popular Post gruffiiti
Spent this past week working on The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope and can now cross it off the list. I did the first playthrough blind with @Spacey Dweeb even though there was no co-op trophy in this one like there was in Man of Medan. The story was mostly interesting but fairly predictable. I could have saved myself a bunch of time cleaning up trophies though if I had planned out my playthroughs better. Not too big a deal as I was still under 25hrs total. 1 - The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope [02%] --> [100%] 2 - Little Nightmares II [00%] 3 - God of War [71%] 4 - Megaquarium [90%] 5 - Peaky Blinders: Mastermind [100%] 6 - Blacksad: Under the Skin [00%] 7 - Moss [00%] 8 - Children of Morta [100%] 9 - Transistor [13%] --> [21%] 0 - Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition [100%]
Popular Post SpaceCoresDad
A quick on this time! The PS3 game rain is a really neat, short little platformer style game. The main gimmick is that you, your companion, and all the enemies in the game are only visible when out in the rain. It makes for some interesting stealth/light horror gameplay, with an overall very artsy feel to it. I'm not really sure if I entirely get what the message was though. That you need someone to help lift you out of depression/dark times maybe? I don't know, but it was still a good game. Would recommend, especially because it goes pretty cheap. I kind of wish I had the AS version though, because it's a lot easier to say you're playing Lost In the Rain than just... rain. Without even a capital R. 0 - Ghost of Tsushima (11090) 1 - Returnal (12751) 2 - rain (2152) 3 - God of War: Ascension (1873) 4 - Wake-up Club (1424) 5 - Aliens: Colonial Marines (1835) 6 - 7 - Sniper Ghost Warrior (867) 8 - 9 - Nearing the end, and quite early too. Can't wait to see how that shakes out!
Popular Post blu3st4rdust305
And another one down. This one was a bit unexpected for me. I had already platinumed South Park on the PS4, but I felt the need to have a serious change of pace and tone from the onslaught of platformers and quirky action games that have filled my time. A nice, familiar world with some RPG elements was a welcome change. Now I am halfway thru, pacing about 10 days ahead of schedule to finish the list before the end of August. I continue my campaign to finish this list off with only PS3 games and I feel confident I can finish it up. No More Heroes is on its last legs to cover "4", leaving me with 4 games to plat from 0%. I got this. 0 - 1250 - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 1 - 2 - 3 - 1823 - Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear 4 - 5 - 1475 - Lollipop Chainsaw 6 - 1966 - Ratchet: Deadlocked 7 - 2467 - South Park: The Stick of Truth 8 - 9 -

Then you'd only need Ghosts of Sparta and chains of Olympus to fill out the entire series! Of which, I personally found all three of these games to be the easiest in the series to plat. After spending hundreds of hours with Stardew Valley, I felt this started VERY slowly. Still, it was a very chill time. There are plenty of missable trophies and there's not a WHOLE lot of information out there, but I managed getting there just fine. Definitely had a great time. Up next is Dishonored Definitive Edition which has been sitting in my profile for several years. I'm starting to get worried that I may not finish in time and might have to make some last minute adjustments. But we'll see!

Popular Post Han_the_Dragon
It's been a while since I completed my last game for the event, even if I'm doing nothing and at home all the time, my gaming progress isn't being that great... But then, since I'm home because I was so exhausted, I think it's understandable... On top of that my gaming isn't being focused at all.. Now then, I finished Degrees of Separation EU as a shortcut for #3, and I have to say that it was quite enjoyable (I was playing with a guide, but was quite nice all the same). Snow Moto Racing Freedom is being a bigger headache than I expected, and the same can be said for Mahjong Royal Towers... Mahjong with touch controls on vita was quite a nice experience, but on PS4 is a headache to move fast.. Didn't felt like going back to Tsushima since I was scathered and wanted to do the fast games first, but I may change on that idea.. I'm also trying to finish up some PS3 online trophies (in games that don't count for the event, because I already got #5 and the other 2 are impossible platinums), so, there's also that... I at least finished NFS The Run online, so 1 out, but at least 2 more to go.. I will be doing Lollipop Chainsaw in the mix along some GTA5 with a friend (will only do easy stuff, not aiming for all online trophies).. 4/10 0 - Ghost of Tsushima [11090] 37% 1 - Our World Is Ended EU [8891] / Bloodborne [3431] / Assassin's Creed Rogue PS3 [3101] 2 - Mahjong Royal Towers PS4/EU [6852] 14% 3 - Degrees of Separation EU [8703] 4 - Flatout 4 [5934] / Driver San Francisco [1024] / State of Mind [7914] / Tales of Berseria [5184] 5 - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair [2855] 6 - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords [4376] 7 - Monster Energy Supercross [7227] 8 - Snow Moto Racing Freedom [6018] 16% 9 - Song of Memories [8609] / 428: Shibuya Scramble [8209] / Caligula Effect [6109] / Persona 5 Strikers [12399] Not sure on what direction I will go next.. I will try to continue the already started easy 100%/Platinum, but not sure for how long.. Edited July 8, 2021 by Han_the_Dragon
Popular Post Cassylvania
OK. I'd have to think about that. It's always a treat to see a game that pays homage to -- and makes fun of -- games that I grew up with. Popular Post damcrac5
Update 3: 0 - 6 - With the completion of God of War 3 on PS3, I have now beat every game in the God of War Saga. Question becomes do I stack GoW 3 Remastered as my #4? It will be that or Until Dawn. Leaning towards the remaster as I plan on getting GoW 1/2 for Vita to plat every available version. Seeing both Madden 20 and 21 having easier plats made me jump on them. Inside a month of EA play, which I purchased to get a discount on Mass Effect, I managed to knock them both out. (20 because I'm a Chiefs fan, and 21 on PS4 because it fulfilled my #6! I had some troubles with trophies not unlocking on Madden 21 which had me worried being a 100% profile, but reinstalling the game seemed to fix it and now I'm down to my last 3 numbers. Updated Completions 0 - God of War III (PS3) 1 - Mass Effect (PS3) // (PS4) 2 - inFamous: Festival of Blood (PS3) 3 - God of War Ascension (PS3) 4 - 5 - 6 - Madden NFL 21 (PS4) 7 - Undertale (Vita) 8 - 9 - Mass Effect 2 LE (PS4) Work in Progress: 8 - Mass Effect 3 LE (PS4) Options 4 - God of War 3 Remastered (PS4) OR Until Dawn (PS4) 5 - Severed (Vita) OR Spyro (PS4) Let me know which way you'd recommend. I've got another week or so on ME3, but then I'll push to the finish! GL/HF!

I kind of wish I would've played Rapture without it having any trophies at all or simply not going for them. Those were by far the biggest problem I had with the game and that's what caused the story having absolutely no chance of reaching me. The list was so bad, I wanted the game to end before I got halfway through my first playthrough. And missing the story in a walking simulator is a gigantic oof But my friend I frequently talk about games with (one with a very sensible opinion on pretty much everything) loved the story of the game, so I'm willing to admit that I might have done my part of making this a miserable experience too How's Ikenfell treating you so far by the way? I'm 10 hours into it. The music and story are really good so it's keeping me entertained. The combat is pretty simplistic and was hoping for more tbh though. It's like a simpler version of South Park: TFBH with a grid/turn-based strategy. It's fun, but gets repetitive after a while. I think if they added more variety rather than press X at a certain time to boost your power, it could've really transform the game and made it a lot less repetitive. Still, pretty impressive for an indie dev. You can definitely see the passion they put into the game.
Popular Post Grotz99
Was able to knock out Mass Effect pretty quick as the nostalgia of playing that game when it first came out on PC hit me hard. I remember the first one being a bit more rough around the edges and didn't see that this time with the Legendary edition. Still had a lot of monotonous quests (not quite collect 5 pelts level, but still) that required you to visit every planet. Combat was still very fun, but I chose to use the sniper rifle mainly and that sound started to get on my wife's nerves ?. Started up the Mass Effect 2 and went engineer this time, was between that or Vanguard so that might be my class in the 3rd one. Also, finished up Stick it to the Man, a silly side scrolling platformer(?)/puzzle game. It's been sitting on my account for 7 years incomplete. I'm not sure if I'll get to Vampyr and complete it by the end of this as work is getting busy and have a 2 week vacation on the horizon, but I'm going to try. Just couldn't find any other 0 games from what I have. 0 - Vampyr (7640) 1 - Mass Effect (12901) 2 - Concrete Genie (9762) 3 - Hidden Agenda (6833) PGA Tour 2K21 (11233) 4 - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (6194) 5 - The Banner Saga (4205) 6 - Day of the Tentacle Remastered (4456) 7 - Stick it to the Man (2587) ? 8 - Mass Effect 3 (12908) 9 - Mass Effect 2 (12909)
