Popular Post Cassylvania
Hooray! I finished my 7. ... Oh. Wait. No, I didn't. Because I played THE WRONG FREAKIN' YS GAME. I would've caught myself if it wasn't for the game rewarding me for a trophy for just starting the game, moments before I realized the graphics sure looked different than the reviews I had watched of Ys VIII. So, congrats, Ys. Once again, you have ruined my life.

Popular Post Han_the_Dragon
Another one done.. I have to saw, Tokyo Dark wasn't as awesome as I was expecting, but still not a bad experience.. So, now we have: 7/10 0 - Burly Men at Sea [6490] 1 - Our World Is Ended EU [8891] / Bloodborne [3431] / Assassin's Creed Rogue PS3 [3101] / Syberia 2 [3481] 2 - Mahjong Royal Towers PS4/EU [6852] 3 - Degrees of Separation EU [8703] 4 - Tokyo Dark: Remembrance [10204] 5 - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair [2855] 6 - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords [4376] 7 - Monster Energy Supercross [7227] 8 - Snow Moto Racing Freedom [6018] 53% | The Occupation [8798] 0% 9 - Persona 5 Strikers [12399] 26% Next up is likely a mix of me trying to finish something to #8 and going aimlessly somewhere (maybe P5S).. Still not 100% sure on what I will do for either #1 or #8, even tough I already started 2 games for #8 just for the event..

ThatMuttGuy
Well, not that it counts for the event, but I just finished Skylanders: Trap Team, which was going to be my #5 for the event ? Coincidentally, with that one, I have the full Skylanders' games done.

I played both stacks and didn't have any trouble with trophies. The game freezing on me at times? Yeah, definitely had that one like the PS4 version freezing on me when I was maybe 1000 XP away from the trophy for getting a character to level 60. Though I will say Dot Emu was kind to us with the trophy list compared to Xseed with the Steam achievement list for Ys Origin. I will take beating nightmare boss rush with just one character over all characters any day and happily do the rest of the grind. I can do it with EX Hugo in my sleep at this point with how many hours I put into trying to get it with all the other characters on Steam because I know all the boss patterns way too well now. I seriously have over 600 hours of playtime on that version (though a lot is idling to take breaks after losing in boss rush). Though I think we should be glad Oath in Felghana isn't on PSN with trophies.

I only tried it a few times, but I know other people have had the same problem. There's also the glitch where all enemies spawn in one corner of the map in Arena mode, but that's actually beneficial. I don't mind that glitch. 600 hours, though? Yeesh...
Popular Post SupergiantStarr
0 - LEGO Batman 3 Iris.Fall - 1 - Broken Age - 2 - Destroy All Humans - 3 - Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life - 4 - Kentucky Route Zero Borderlands 2 Resident Evil 6 (PS3) - 5 - Dishonored: Definitive Edition - 6 - The Sinking City - 0% 7 - GTA V (PS4) - 8 - Dark Cloud 2 - 9 - Transistor - Penultimate update! And this is a fun one. So, at first I wanted to play LEGO Batman 3, but my second controller was busted and I always play LEGO games with a partner. And I was SCOURING my library for a game that could fill the slot, but it was all just very easy puzzle games. So Iris.Fall it was. A whimsical, interesting little puzzler that was definitely worth the two dollars or so I spent on it. Broken Age came next, which was a very enjoyable adventure game. VERY reminiscent of the old LucasArts point and click games I grew up with. Extremely heart-warming and at times genuinely hilarious. So... what happened with number 4? Well. As I was getting back into Kentucky Route Zero I noticed that it is NOT in fact a 4 game. It's a 0 game. Which I could've used to fill the 0 slot in the first place! Turns out, I'd been looking at the European version when compiling my list. No big deal, right? I've got another 5 game to fill the slot. I guess I'll go way back to Borderlands 2 even though I really didn't like Borderlands, just so I can have something of substance to fill the slot. Oh, what's that? Borderlands 2 is a 5 game?! So, somewhere along the road my brain thought I needed a 5 game, not a 4 game. Right as I was getting REALLY close 100%. Well, at least I have some kind of... extra platinum? Well, I scoured and scoured for another 4 game to fill the slot. Turns out, I had quite a few but they were all PS3 games. And it also turns out, some of those were available on PS Now. So, to Playstation Now I went and played far too much of Resident Evil 6. I actually REALLY enjoyed it! Which is a far different opinion of when I first played it nearly ten years ago but a lot's happened in those ten years. And what better game to play during a global pandemic than a game about a global pandemic. Near the end of the platinum, though, I was definitely getting a bit burned out. As a service, though, Playstation Now is functional. I never would've gotten that platinum without it. Shame I can't play the DLC which I bought ten years ago, though. Next up is The Sinking City to close me out! I never thought I'd be able to finish, honestly. This'll give me some extra time in August to fiddle around more with my 1-month sub to PS Now. And yes, I double checked and TRIPLE checked to make sure that Sinking City is a 6. PS4 version, no other SKUs to contend with. I'm good! ...hopefully.

Definitely would recommend making sure you get all updates since both versions did get updates that resolved most crashing and lag issues. Only had the one crash in the whole time playing the PS4 version. Though one thing I do suspect is maybe it's from long play sessions. The one crash I had was from a longer session of grinding for the last few levels. And since I've practiced boss rush so many times from the Steam version that I wrapped it up on the first try in less than an hour. My best advice for boss rush is start with easy and move up as you feel you've mastered it. Going from the lowest difficulty to the highest makes it easier to start mastering the patterns because the main changes as difficulty goes up is the boss doing more damage and you do less. Some change their attacks up a bit, but the main thing to get past nightmare is to get really good at dodging and it does take practice. Doesn't take 600 hours worth unless you're doing all the characters though.

I still don't know if Set 2 counts so I will do some game before the end of the event but for now it's complete. 0 - Stories Untold (11670) 1 - Subnautica (12911) 2 - Superhot (6382) 3 - Minecraft: Set 2 (13113) 4 - Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown (13034) 5 - Lego Ninjago Movie: The Videogame (6675) 6 - Uncanny Valley (5336) 7 - Flatland Prologue (12197) 8 - Aragami (5338) 9 - Valley (5099) I also thought on doing Asura's Wrath for number 5. Popular Post SirJacobFlames
Hey all. I want to make an end of month update for July. I didn't do one previously because I had almost nothing to report. As of now I currently have the 5 minimum games required which are listed below. 0 ✔️ Genshin Impact (EU) [Base game 100%] 2 ✔️ Doki Doki Literature Club (PS5) (EU) 3 ✔️ Scarlet Nexus (PS4) 4 ✔️ Tales of Zestiria (PS3) (EU) 9 ✔️ Crosscode (PS5) (EU) I doubt I can finish all 10 numbers before the event ends. For August I plan to complete the following. 1 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 6 Borderlands: game of the year edition 7 Hover Playing games by numbers is very unique. I've decided to put off completing some games because they have over lapping numbers that would take awhile to plat. However that didn't stop me completing 3 twice because I really wanted to play Astros Playroom on my new PS5.
Popular Post Geridian
Hello all, my first post here for this years GBN challenge. Only need to complete three more games. One is already in the works, 1 is looking for completion for some years already. 0 - MASS EFFECT: LEGENDARY EDITION 1 - Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 2 - Mega Man Legacy Collection 3 - I Am Alive 4 - SBCG4AP Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner 5 - SBCG4AP Episode 4: Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective 6 - SBCG4AP Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough 7 - SBCG4AP Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free 8 - MASS EFFECT 3 9 - Tales of Hearts R The "Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People" (SBCG4AP) games where bought by me when I heard that it could happen, that all Telltale games could vanish from the stores because of the companies problems. Had lots of fun with them, had to laugh many times because some things happening in those games are just crazy and funny. I started playing I Am Alive last year for the ABC challenge, but was not in the mood to complete it. Did complete it now for GBN. The game is okay. It could frustrate you because of those 21 chapters it has, but many of those chapters are "watch two FMVs and walk one meter" or something like this. Did enjoy Mass Effect Legendary Edition, but I noticed that most of the attention from the developers went into ME1. In ME2 I started to notice bugs and errors while talking to squad and other people (mostly character/camera positioning), while ME3 showed more of those errors. Played an Infiltrator for all three games and skilled it as an Iceman for ME3. Many times encountered a bug with frozen enemies: When frozen they fall on the floor >> They thaw up when you are not able to kill them in time with a shot or a tech explosion >> When they had thawn up most times they kept lying on the floor until shot. Imo a really lazy remaster. That's all from me. Wish you all a nice weekend and lots of fun with your games! Tales of Hearts R was my original pick when I started the challenge. I was at post game clean up when I suddenly got confirmation on my PS5 order. With the new console I traded Tales of Hearts for CrossCode PS5. CrossCode was my favourite game from last year. With extensive knowledge from my last playthrough I speedrun it as fast as I could to use as number 9. I also was planning to do Tales of Graces F and Vesperia. I realized after a bit that if I only do JRPGs I wouldn't finish 5 games by August. Edited July 31, 2021 by SirJacobFlames Fixing typos
Popular Post Spinacheq
Late night update and last one for the month for me. This makes 9 games down and my #2. Back to the Future: The Game. Back to the Future: The Game - Not a bad game, the ending was pretty cute, and the star wars references litter through out were fun and entertaining. The controls were a bit ehh, and the way Marty walked was creepy and weird lol, but it had been sitting in my backlog for a bit so since it fit the number 2 slot and I needed to complete it anyways. 0 Eiyuu Senki The World Conquest (PS3) (4040) 1 2 Back to the Future: The Game (Disc Version) (PS3) (1142) 3 Darksiders (PS3) (213) 4 Chaos on Deponia (PS4) (6964) 5 Time and Eternity (PS3) (2025) 6 The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III (PS4) (9846) 7 Everybody's Gone To The Rapture (PS4) (3767) 8 Beast Quest (PS4) (7348) 9 Song of Memories (PS4) (8609) So now down to 1 game, which I am aiming for Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash. Not one of the oldest on my backlog but not many of them happen to be number 1's that won't take me 100+ hours, I guess I have too many rpg's lol. I am glad to be down to 1 game left for all of august since as it turns out me and my wife will be moving 1250 miles away in early September I don't forsee a ton of gaming time as we have packing, planning, work, and such to get done in a little over a month.

To be honest: ToHR is not my favorite Tales of- Game. My favorite is still ToS1, followed by ToS2. Did not enjoy the combat system of the others, so maybe I will pass the upcoming ToA. Started ToZ some years ago, but the junction system of the different features you can combine into your equipment is too scientific for my liking. Also it has the dumbest camera I ever noticed in a game. ToB and both ToX games are also in my backlog, but I don´t know if I will ever play them. Also with ToHR the pure Japanese VO I very much dislike. Not that I dislike Japanese VO in animes I watch with subs, but the VO in this game seems to not match the written text in either English or German. Also the story is not very motivating. The process of collecting the heart pieces is uninteresting, then there is a gap with filler events until you get in contact with the real enemy tied to the past of the games story. I should be in the middle of playthrough 2 on my latest ToHR savegame. We will see. Also I want MEA to be my 150th platinum, so I need to time this being finished before I complete ToHR. Would have liked to play Scarlet Nexus for PS5, but since it is number 13198, the number 8 is already completed. At the moment I am working my way through MMLC1. Those No Items challenges... Maybe I start MMLC2 in between and alternate between both games. To get at least some fun while trying to git gud on those challenges from MMLC1. Also the MMLC2 should be easier as far as I read on some sites. /edit Funny. Did get the Bronze x50 trophy some minutes ago. Now onward to Silver x50 and Gold x50. Popular Post Xylobe
0 - The Gardens Between (8200) 1 - 2 - Persona 5 Royal [EU] (10572) 3 - Stardew Valley (5673) 4 - Control [PS5, NA] (12184) 5 - 6 - Narita Boy (12516) 7 - NieR Replicant (617) 8 - Scarlet Nexus [PS5] (13198) 9 - Phoenotopia: Awakening (13319) Game #0 is done, 7/10 complete! The Gardens Between was a neat little almost diorama-style puzzle game with time mechanics, but it felt like once it started it was already over. I had to scrap most of the rest of my planned list, as my left hand/wrist have been giving me some grief for the last week or so, and I'd like to give them some rest so I can jump into Psychonauts 2 on the 25th, so I'm limited to games I can play one-handed. Narita Boy fits the bill, but unfortunately I can't stand the thing, so I may end up needing to find a new 6 in addition to 5 and 1.

Popular Post SyIaris
And done! Wasn't the ideal time to try and play a roguelite, but it was mostly fun anyway. The second zone's RNG hated me for some reason, swear half my playtime was there. Nice music, love the backgrounds, it's great to see so much of a story in one of these, and the character variety is really nice. Didn't know you didn't need to get everyone to 20+ and sadly didn't leave my worst/only disliked for last, but oh well. Enjoyed playing most of them, though the little pyromaniac was my main as soon as I tried her out. Progress was all Kevin or Lucy, and Mark accidentally got me Perfectionist on his trial run; definitely my favorites overall. Gimme dem fast squishy dodge-happy characters. The co-op revival trophy seemed to bug on me (didn't pop after 30+ revives, but I think it popped after 5 different floors), but fortunately no issues otherwise. Felt a bit like a mashup of Rogue Legacy and Hades, though this came out before the latter. 4450 - Okage: Shadow King 3291 - The Order: 1886 3992 - Assassin's Creed Syndicate 1443 - Datura 1494 - LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 1945 - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon 5336 - Uncanny Valley 7 - (Maneater)9768 - Children of Morta 9 - (Hunted: The Demon's Forge) Two to go, might actually finish this for once~

I loved this entry in the series sooooo much beginning to end (except the most frustrating platforming sequence EVER at the end when battling Dr. Nefarious that part can go die in a hole). The story and gameplay were phenomenal, and contributed my favorite moment ever in a Ratchet game thus far in this entry's Plumber cameo (look up the cameo for ACiT on YouTube if you're unfamiliar it is hilarious if you're a gamer). Loving my choice to binge the series now, and will keep cranking them out! I think I will have juuuuust enough time to finish before the event ends, but I do have to move stuff out of my college apartment back home here in a few weeks that could be a larger time sink than I am planning on... but I will get there! Popular Post Hisuiryu
I am now badge-ready! With the arrival of my PS5 last week Astro was a no-brainer for my #3 slot putting me up to 5 completions. I don't see any issues filling up 0/1/8/9 with the Mass Effect trilogy over the rest of the month, but #4 is still up in the air. I was planning to try and finish up Downwell, and while that's still a good plan I decided I need a backup in case that doesn't pan out.... thankfully, looking at my profile I should have no trouble finishing Doki Doki Universe if we get close to the deadline! 0. 1. 2. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (1372) 3. Astro's Playroom (11753) 4. 5. Tropico 5 (3515) 6. Final Fantasy XIII (226) 7. Popular Post GerritSlak
A few more done! Burly Men at Sea was pretty fun, I remember it being populair in previous editions (short/easy plat/PS+ freebie). Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered was way less buggy than III Remastered. The only annoying part was collectibles only showing up when near but overall not too hard. Found a new game for 6 that I got many years ago on PS+ and looks easy enough And for 5 I'm going with Mahjong. With us being in the final month I think I can complete these games in time but we'll see. 6490 - Burly Men at Sea 2621 - Watch Dogs (PS4) (51%) 9762 - Concrete Genie 6453 - Batman: The Enemy Within 1754 - Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two 6705 - Mahjong World Contest (PS4, EU) 8906 - Buggy af Assassin's Creed III Remastered 3056 Costume Quest 2 (PS3) 8907 - Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered 3318 - Life is Strange (PS3) 1679 - The Unfinished Swan (PS3) *This list could change at any time but for now it's what I'm thinking about completing
Popular Post Spacey_Dweeb
Well, this week I got a new puppy and it's been kind of a nightmare! She's great and super cute and all of that. But man is she a handful. Always into everything, especially if she shouldn't have it. I've had to keep her leashed inside just so I can keep an eye on her at all times. My gaming time was being interrupted every five minutes by me yelling "PENNY! NO!!!" and getting up to take a shoe away, or a spatula, or some garbage, or some headphones, or her brush, or a box of Kleenex, or my PSVR, you get the idea. So I puppy proofed the living room area as much as I could and I keep her leash attached to her kennel so she has about 6' radius to work with. Gaming-wise, my time this week was kind of dominated by The Avengers which I subbed into my list after having a save glitch with Assassin's Creed Liberation three times. Avengers is meh, but they had a 4x XP weekend, so I took full advantage. I think that will shave off a large portion of the grind.I feel pretty good about where I am at with my games, I'll be making sure to knock out one title per week going forward. To Do: Tah Done!
Popular Post papert0wng1rl
Two more games finished: A Plague Tale and the second Sherlock Holmes game. Plague did not disappoint with its storytelling, but I was not prepared to be so traumatized straight from the prologue and onward. It's dark. The ending IMO went a bit haywire, but it did not take away from my enjoyment of it. Pretty straight-forward trophy list too with minimal clean-up. I'm looking forward to what they are going to do with the sequel, since I have no idea where they can take the story after this. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter was a very good, challenging, yet relaxing type of game. I thought it improved on the predecessor in every way. The cases now have an interesting variety to them, and there are actually some fun action moments that require the QTE mechanic. They did away with all the "collectible" type of trophies (ie. x number of puzzles without skipping, doing all character portraits, petting the dog in every chapter, etc.) and simply left story-related ones on the list. Some of the most challenging puzzles are also tied to trophies, so as long as you don't use the skip function, nothing is missable or requires postgame clean-up. Am I going to pick up Chapter One at a right price? Absolutely. Otherwise, I am still in the process of cleaning up Need for Speed Heat... So. Many.
