I finished my Transistor platinum so quickly that I went ahead and finished Destroy All Humans (PS2) before posting an update. I kind of became super obsessed with Transistor despite never finishing the platinum after my first playthrough years ago. I was actually really bummed with how short it was. Destroy All Humans was fine, dumb fun. Very much a product of its time. Still super janky, but an easy platinum if you don't mind collectables.

 

I just started Kentucky Route Zero TV Edition today which I kind of LOVE? This is the kind of game that sneaks its way into my favorite games of a generation. Only finished with Act 1 so far, but I have a feeling this one's going to totally wreck me.

Finally made some more progress and got my fourth game done.

This was a pretty good week for me. I finished Little Hope as expected last night. I also was trying to work on AC3 Liberation for the Vita, but ran into a weird save issue. Unfortunately, it happened after the first trophy pop, or I'd just delete it, move on, and forget I ever played it. Now I want to figure it out. Basically, I can get to the loading screen, but never get put into the actual game when using a save. I've made three attempts to restart the game so far and waited up to 90 minutes for a save to finish loading. No idea what to do except maybe play a huge chunk in one sitting and hope that save issues are only going to happen in the early chapters... I don't like to risk my time like that though. Anyway, I decided to replace that game in my list, but just to bug @gruffiiti I hid the new game and won't tell him what I'm working on while he's camping. haha. Also, my youngest kid really wanted me to play the Olympics game with her. Mostly the volleyball event. so I started that with her. It may end up in my event list, but for now, I'm still planning on Alien Isolation for that number. This week will be working on mystery game and A Rose in the Twilight on the Vita. I think I can finish the Vita game by next week.

That sucks to hear about the AC3 Liberation.  I own AC3 Liberation as well and was considering working through it. I've decided that I'm going to leverage airplane mode on the vita to manage trophy lists.  I'm probably going to do Severed for my #5, but if I don't end up liking it, I'd be able to reset my vita and not have to worry about it.  Only real worry with that is making sure I don't miss any time stamps, so I've gotta keep it charged as I go.

No don't tell me that, I played the MP missions back when we all thought the store and support was being shut down for Vita.  So I have this with 3 of 45 trophies sitting on my list waiting.

I honestly think it's something with my specific cartridge like some data corruption or something. I've looked all over the place for other people to mention this issue and can't find any other mentions. There was something about a save glitch that would make the game crash and reboot when you tried to load a save, but that was patched like 9 years ago. If you can finish the game, maybe I'll buy another copy off ebay or something. When I got my Vita, I bought it off someone local and it had about 15 games with it. The dude was a heavy smoker and everything stank though. I had to deep clean it before I could stand to touch anything.

ouch, yeah I hope that is all it is then.  Mine is the one I got when I bought my Vita.  I got the White Assassin's creed edition Vita, as it looks very nice with the persona 4 golden screen protector on it.  The only sad thing was the game came without a case in the bundle so I had to pick up one as loose little carts floating around bug me.  I will try to play mine this week and see if I run into the save issue you experience and keep you updated.

It's been a while since my last update. After a whole month of working on it, I finally finished GTA V. Super happy about that one! Definitely a good plat to have for a milestone - my #30 overall. I might have finished it a bit sooner, but my crew decided they wanted to clean up some dlc trophies, and I couldn't miss out on the opportunity. I will continue working slowly on the heists and the editor's mode while pushing through the rest of the challenge. Booted up A Plague Tale last night as my next target platinum.

Seventh game completed, Stories Untold (NA version). Pretty cool small "horror" game, the tone was just right and the plot was interesting enough for what it was going for. My only complain is the abundance of flashing lights the game has, on Chapter 2 near the end you have to go through the flashing screen 4 times, you must go through it again on Chapter 4 too. It didn't add much to the game as a whole, they were there just for the sake of being there.

 

 The game had it's solid moments but sometimes it just falls flat

 

Edit: Apparently by looking at the spreadsheet I already have number 3 completed, Minecraft: Set 2 and number 5 Days Gone too. If anything is wrong let me know just so I can send a message warning about the mistake.

 

I went and double checked the rules, Minecraft Set 2 does count since it has a brand new ID but Days Gone should not count since I got the platinum in March and only finished the DLC last month. I guess that's why it accidently went to the spreadsheet. I will complete a "5" game first and then ask to change it

Finaly finished my no. 1 game Tokyo Xanadu eX+. Picked this game up again after 3 years. Wanted to finish the game up to the point where i left it (NG+ with calamity and infinity on). But after an hour trying to beat a Mini-Boss i gave up and set the dificulty to easy. Played the rest of the game without skipping text  because i didn´t remember much of the story. After that i started my NG++ game with calamity dificulty on and breezed through the game in 6-7 hours (skipped almost everything).

All in all i am really happy to finish this game. The dungeons were pretty easy but sometimes to many (for me at least).

I have now completed the Ratchet & Clank original trilogy!!! The games got better and better in every way from 1 to 2 and then to 3, but all of them were so much fun just jam packed with witty humor, immense charm, and not to mention how fun it was to play. The weapons are so satisfying, and I was incredibly pleased with how well the games have held up over time. The third was by far my favorite, as it really mastered the things I loved about the first two. I am ashamed it took me this long to begin to experience this series for my first time, because I'm absolutely in love. R&C has quickly become one of my favorite game series, and may very well end up on top once I get through Rift Apart. On to Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty which don't have trophies, and then back to plat hunting for the event! Let the insanely fun and adorable and hilarious R&C binge continue!!!

I am complete.  A month early, and no ultra easy/quick plats(though 4 of them ended up being sub 10 hours).  I can thank my rather small games list for providing many options (other than number 5...)  Out of all the games I wanted to play, so many of them were a number 6.  Below is almost my original list. OG Mass Effect and inFamous were accidental trophy sync's while loading up GoW Ascension, but I ended up doing about 50% as planed.

 

4. God of War 3 Remastered - What an improvement 60 fps and a PS5 controller can make.  So much more comfortable to hold and crush through this one.  Saying I did the OG GoW 3 a week ago, this one went quick, getting the plat in 9 hours.  I've now completed all console versions of God of War available.  Now I need to get some other backlog games done before I buy the GoW collection for Vita to complete the series.

 

5. Severed (Vita) - What a fun little game.  At first, I was worried about the fruit ninja, touchscreen aspect of the game.  But once I got past the introduction and started dealing with the real time puzzles of multiple enemies that required different tactics and timing to defeat, combined with the elaborate map filled with puzzles, I found myself really enjoying the game, and glad that I went for it.  On a previous post, I mentioned I was concerned how much I'd like this game, but I had a blast for the 7.5 hours it took to plat.  Recommended if you have a vita, as it is another game along side of Tear Away that utilized some of the features of the vita in an effect addition instead of a forced feature. 

 

8.  Mass Effect 3 LE - Favorite series of all time.  Didn't plan on getting the trilogy at the start since I have such a huge backlog, but I'm glad I did.  Played all 3 as a soldier on insanity and enjoyed every minute of it.  Making Garrus a god in ME3 made insanity a cake walk.  Made me remember the love of the series.  Ended up buying ME Andromeda on this last sale and download 2 and 3 for PS3 as I'd like to add ME to GoW for getting a plat in all games available.

Finely got another one done..

 

Since my play time is still going slow, P5S will definitely take more than I would initially plan and I'm unsure if I can endure Snow Moto Racing Freedom to plat anytime soon, I had to make a few changes on my plans for easier games..

 

First up, was to scrap the idea of Ghost of Tsushima, since that will also take a while, so I replaced #0 with Burly Men at Sea, that I got advice to play about a year ago.. second was to scrap the idea or Tales of Berseria or other long game for #4, and instead went to something faster that I also wanted to play, that is Tokyo Dark Remembrance, and last was to replace #8 from Snow Moto Racing Freedom to The Occupation, that I hope that doesn't end up being a headache..

 

I'm still leaving #1 open, but it's almost guarantee to be Syberia 2, since it's the shortest of all options available, and that should allow me to do 2 or so playthroughs on P5S, since I may want to stage the plat screenshot with Succubus or something (still not sure on that, but if I do that, I would need to get specific skills and max nearly max out her stats through incenses..)

Ninth game completed, Uncanny Valley. I remember I got this game when it was free on PS Plus back in January 2018 but never gave it much attention, only added it to the library. Pretty meh experience, played it some hours ago and I already forgot about the majority of the game.

Two more games done.  Only 3 to go, seems to be going faster now that I have some of the longer ones out of the way.  So I am hoping to finish before the end of the event.

 

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture - Ah the game I played just so @Jens could add it to the spreadsheet.  naw just kidding I wanted to get it out of my backlog for awhile.  It was an interesting game, I didn't hate the game, and by the end I didn't love it either.  I did the radio and open ended trophies first, turned the sound off so I didn't hear the story stuff.  Then I went and played my lets explore and experience it fresh playthrough.  This playthrough I really enjoyed the story was good, and interesting seeing it from the different peoples perspectives.  I didn't mind the pace at all.  So if you can just stop there and not have to get the platinum (my mind wouldn't go for that), then it is a nice game.  I think it would have been a lot better as a VR game, so you look around and experience things in that setup it would have been great.  It was the platinum clean up that made me lose all my joy with the game.  The forced slow speed when you  would come to area with something from the story the devs wanted you to interact with.  The music you couldn't turn down or off without hitting the mute button and thus didn't know if you where triggering a phone or door that wasn't meant to open but you had to hear the try to know you got them all....  Don't get me wrong the music wasn't bad but no volume on it was very annoying, there were times I wanted to stand in the middle of the wheat field and hear breeze blow over the wheat, cause yes you could hear it.  But if you stood too long the music would pick up and drown out all other sound in an almost you aren't playing how we want get a move on it manner...  which seemed super odd to me.  Oh well it is over and while it had nice things, it had some very big flaws.  I got it for free from psplus+ so I don't feel cheated on my money just sad at how much of a loss of potential.

 

Chaos on Deponia - The sequel to Deponia, which was suppose to be my #6 but Trails of cold steel 3 took that spot so I played it before this one.  The story was fun for this and good continuation of the first game.  I got it on sale for 1.95 so good buy lol.  I love the throw back to the old school point and click adventures of my youth.  The humor is sometimes on the odd side but then again so am I so it works.  Fun graphics, controls are decent for a point and click on a ps4 controller hehe.

I did it!

 

After sitting on the last 3 trophies in No More Heroes, I finally popped them to meet a milestone. Also, satisfied "4" in this event. Leaves me with three numbers to wrap this up. Pretty sure I have "9" squared away with LEGO Lord of the Rings, but "8" and "1" are a bit more complicated. In order for me to stick to my PS3 games only goal, my choices are a bit limited within my backlog.

 

For "1", I pretty much only have Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Which I guess is fine. I would have wanted to do Rio, but I figured out I am missing 2 DS3 controllers, as the game does not register PS4 controllers at all.  Don't think I want to drop $50-60 on obsolete controllers for that game.

For "8", it is either LEGO Indiana Jones 2 (yay.... back to back console LEGO games... ) or Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Sarcasm aside, I find LEGO games more fun when I enjoy the source material, but I have no foundation for Indiana Jones. 

"8" could also be Doctor Who, I suppose. 

 

Thankfully, there is still about a month left to follow thru on those last couple of numbers. I will likely push completion close to the end of the event.

First congrats on the No More Heroes.  Great Job.  Second if you have a PSP you can use that as a controller for your ps3.  not sure if you have one but if you do it might be an option for Rio.

Thanks. It was not that bad, just annoying to be forced to do 3 playthrus.

 

Sadly, no PSP,  just a Vita.  For now, I am glad I did not pop a trophy on Rio and was able to clear the 0% list.  I am less annoyed by shelving a physical game from my backlog than it being the only game I would need to reach Plat rank in the Movies PP. My inner completionist is conflicted. ?

Finished up Children of Morta for number 8, this game is absolutely fantastic and I binge played it the past few days.  It's a rogue-like RPG but I'd say it's the fairest rogue-like I have ever played, it was nice to just sit back and play without checking a guide.  As I explored everywhere, I ended up only needing to farm for 3 missing souvenirs, I did need to level up 4 characters at the end as I primarily used the two ranged characters but it didn't take long at all with XP upgrades and it was fun to try out other characters skills.  I also managed to convince my husband to run through the co-op trophy with me, which was a breeze with level 20+ characters   I'm super glad I grabbed this off the summer sale as it helped break a bit of a funk I was in.

Two more to add to the stack with just over a month to complete the final two. My #9 was another Sometimes You sale game but I made up for it by completing a game I have been working on for some time. 2064 was a ps plus game but it is one of the good ones that I have gotten. I did end up doing Iron Rom on my PS4 in one sitting. Finally today the arcade game was completed and it took me only a little while to do that last playthrough.

 

Now I only have a 1 and 5 left. For 5, I can finish Word Searches or Flow as both are with in reach. Still deciding one my one.
