I found ALL collectibles and here are the ones i STRUGGLED with in hopes it also helps you!

Going to get straight to the point as i know everyones opinions of this collectible system vary right now and i don't want to get in to any arugements i just want to share so here are some tips with descriptions of where i found them.

 

Some quick tips as i see it getting asked a lot.

Ciphers CAN spawn inside a portal area (the areas with a reward or fabricator) (I only know of one in Biome 3 that i had for this though so could be the only one in the entire game)

Ciphers CANNOT spawn inside RED or YELLOW barriers

Ciphers CANNOT spawn inside LOCKED doors so just skip them!

You DO NOT need to kill any enemies when farming Ciphers. Ignore them all.

SOME rooms are 100% ALWAYS the same. Other rooms (95% of them are procedural and rolled on a dice when you enter the room). STICK AT IT.

 

 

Biome 1:

 

Personally this Biome along with Biome 4 came very naturally whilst trying to complete the other Biomes. I think this is due to the nature of you starting in Biome 1 and Biome 4 so you are in these Biome's a lot more frequently. 

I do know that people have troubles with scout log 9 in Biome 1. The only suggestions i have on this are to make sure you have a parasite attached as early as possible and also do a run where you activate the respawn location and let yourself die. I have seen people mention scout log 9 appears in front of you when you respawn there.

 

Biome 2:

 

This was the worst of all of them for me and i think that is noticable in PSNP% too as it is the rarest. There are 2 locations that are VERY rare to spawn in this Biome and due to the size of this one it can be a tedious one to grind. I would recommend looking at these images below as these are what i have managed to find for the 2 super rare spawns. There is a video to a fast farming method of one of these rooms which will also be below. I will break them down as rare Cipher 1 and rare Cipher 2:

 

Rare Cipher 1 is this location in the video. This guy shares his speed run method which i personally followed and had success with. IT TAKES A LOT OF ATTEMPTS. Try to not get disheartened. I was almost 200 runs in total without seeing this room but it eventually appeared.

Rare Cipher 2: This one is in the "giant hand room" that has dust spinning around in the middle of it. The Cipher is located on the left side of the hand and this room is spawned inside the temple area of the biome (which is the second area after the first big dessert area, walk past the portal that takes you up the mountain and in to the first door in to the "temple") This one was a rectangle door for me so is on the normal path not a side path. Again i only seen this room twice in almost 200 runs of Biome 2

Biome 3:

 

I only struggled with 1 Cipher for Biome 3 which was found in the SECOND MAIN AREA (the part where you grapple across from different battle rooms (not the small platforms you grapple across dont be confused) it usually has 4 big pillars in the centre in a square formation that go down in to a water area that you can drop in to. The Cipher was on one of the pillars legs down there. The room usually has a platform all the way around it and had turrets in each corner for me although your results may differ with what enemies appear.

 

Biome 4:

 

Like i mentioned in Biome 1 Biome 4 was a lot more natual for me as you spend a lot of time in this one as you pass through it a lot. That is what i would advise at least. I would suggest letting Biome 1 and 4 come naturally as you sprint through them to work on the other Biome's.

 

Biome 5:

 

I had a small amount of trouble with this one. Scout log 44 and 1 Cipher were being elusive but i found that they actually spawn in the same room! This room is also rare to spawn (Around 25 attempts for me personally) This one is relatively easy to farm because it is ALWAYS in the top left rectangle door from the main section. (I have seen the locked triangle door swap positons with it but it is always the unlocked blue door on the top half of the main area) Once you go through the rectangle door on the left of the main area you will go through a hallway and then into a large open battle room. This is the room that can be 1 of 5 rooms. One of these 5 rooms is the one that spawns Scout Log 44. I do not think it is super rare and many of you maybe already have this log and Cipher but this is the only experience i have so hopefully it helps one of you.

 

Biome 6:

 

There is a lot of discussion on Biome 6 Ciphers. There appears to be AT LEAST 3 that people are struggling with. I only had a problem with 1 of these but i will describe all 3 below in hopes it helps someone.

 

Rare Cipher 1:

 

This is as you leave the first area (not yet dropped down to the lower part of the Biome) but just towards the end of the first open section. You will go through a open rectangle door and it will spawn 1 of 3 variants of the puzzle green rooms. You want the 3 stair case puzzle and you want to immediately dash to the left side. You have about 10 seconds to get on to it. The other 2 green room puzzles that can spawn are the elevator one and the locking windows one. Both of these 2 DO NOT have a Cipher in them.

 

Rare Cipher 2:

 

This one is AFTER you dropped down in to the lower section (where you can fabricate some items at the top before jumping down the hole). The room that spawns down there when you land is 1 of 3 and the Cipher is located on a pillar in the area. I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND go one rectangle door further if it is not there as the following room can also contain a Cipher. This one can be a little annoying as the distance travelled to get here can be tedious.

 

Rare Cipher 3:

 

This one spawns in the first large open are of Biome 6. You will run through your first door after picking up your proficiency booster and those suicidal jelly fish will start pelting you. Keep your eyes peeled in ALL 3 of the large open areas. I found 1 variant of these rooms is tough to spawn and tends to be smaller in size than the normal ones. There are also 2 Ciphers that spawn in side triangle rooms in the first area so be sure to go through those if you have any others missing. (They're not worth describing the location of as you won't miss them).

edit; i read about the other 2 puzzle rooms not having cipher. Damn i don't know what i missed.  The last one i got was the one on the right just before the drop into the deepest part (with 2 artifacts to buy). I think that one can be missed easily when people start speedrunning the section.

 

Maybe it's the rare cipher 2 you mention. Kinda hard to fight the mini boss here with speedrun equipment. 

 

Just to be sure, we can't have cipher behind locked blue room right ? Cause i have no key when i run.

 

EDIT 2: got the forum luck. First try lol. ok so the answer was Rare cipher 3. Right after the entrance, i got a very different room and the cipher is on a block on the left side. Very easy to spot. Wish i had a better trophy clip to help.

Glad you managed to find it. It can look like you're doing something wrong but you're actually not. I think that's why people find it so hard because they assume it has either glitched or they are doing it wrong when it is actually fine

yes the 50 and 51 are a rare spawn in biome 5 in a room before the xeno archive

Can someone clear this up for me please? Does each biome have set audio logs and cyphers that spawn in them? For example, can Audio Log 24 spawn in any biome, or is there a set biome that it belongs to? Is it the same or different for the cyphers? Also will they always spawn in the same room, or the same location within the room?

 The cyphers and audio logs are all set to a specific biome. IGN has a guide that will show u what biome they're in, but doesn't really show u anything else about how to find them.

just FYI, my last cypher was in biome 5, the one in the blue locked room! if you didn't get it the first time try checking one last time just in case! AND one of the scouts appears before the yellow door, so my runs always were opening first the right path checking for the scout and if not going to the other 2 paths.

No you don't need to do that mate. They don't spawn in there. Have you checked what i mentioned for Biome 6? There are at least 3 people found difficult that i know of.

You can find 63 in the room you got the visor to see the orbs. you have to go there after finishing act 2 at least

To help other people and since I really enjoyed this topic , Here are also my contributions. If someone is doing a guide that could be nice if he/she gathers everything: 
 

I would also add for biome 2, there are two other rare ciphers. One in the first part of the desert when there is a huge building with several floors and few blue teleports on it. the other one is inside the building during the second part which is a room with two circle platforms and one very noticeable vertical red laser. ?

 

In Biome 3, I had also an issue with log 34, which is very easy to hunt though, since it s obtainable via a blue teleport

You can access this one, jumping on several platforms from the left side of the central area at the beginning. But these platforms on the left rarely spawn... 

 

The best advice I could give is to do at least every levels twice or three times with good stuffs and equipments, taking all the time needed to be sure the basic collectibles aren’t missed. Only after that, you should speed run across the different levels to get what you have missed.

Hi everyone. Hope you can help me with my last cipher in Biome 3 for the Platinum trophy.

 

I’ve done many runs but I believe the one I’m missing is after shooting the blue orb. 
 

However I don’t seem to see a cipher there. I’ve seen two places where there’s a blue orb, both going up towards activating the bridge.

 

One is this one which spawns quite often but never seen anything there:

Then there’s another one a little bit further which a believe is rarer but didn’t see anything there neither. There usually are health items there.

So should a cipher be there for sure? Doesn’t it always appear? Because I’m certain that’s the one I’m missing and I never collected it.

im struggling with biome 2. says im missing 3 ciphers but i think that's wrong. i believe i got the one where you shoot the ball but im not sure about the hand one. i can't find anything else! also dying in biome 5. done that one numerous times but says im also missing 3 ciphers

You only miss actually two siphers because eine is glitched in biome 2. It’s probably the hand room inside the. Kind of temple, the big building at the beginning, or the two level rooms with a vertical laser. Good luck
