Platinum with missing timestamps.

Recommended Posts

My streetfighter platinum on ps vita has a missing timestamp. The trophys i earned in street fighter over the last 2 days all have a timestamp but the platinum itself dosn't. How can that happen?

I had a few missing timestamps in street fighter from 2019 i think. I know missing timestamps can happen from time to time. but i'm worried now that the platinum itself dosn't have a timestamp, i never seen that before.

I have 2 vitas, which i dosn't use much. Maybe once or twice in all of 2020.

Edit: On my vita itself the platinum dosn't have a timestamp. so resynching isn't an option.

It looks like you have a bunch of trial trophies that were also missing time stamps, were they the last ones you did before the platinum?

No the last trophy to platinum is

Mission Specialist

Clear all of the missions in Mission mode.

which has a timestamp.

SFXT has reverted to your first Platinum. I remember this happening to someone when they played Virtue's Last Reward apparently the vita can desync if you have stuff connected to the internet and the signal is real weak while syncing trophies and can screw up the time.

In these threads there are some reasons. I don't feel like any of this is the reason for what happend to my street fighter platinum.

Were you playing on a regular Vita or a PSTV?

Also how reliable is your internet connection, does it regularly cut out?

I using a regular Vita.

Pretty reliable it didn't cut out once as far as i remember. But i may should note that the vita didn't had internet for a few months. I have a vita for long games like streetfighter and killzone and one for quick games (novels or short 1 hour platinums, i also do the region trick with that 2nd vita). But the "no internet" shouldn't be a problem cause alll the other street fighter trophys from the past 2 days do have time stamps.

This is actually super strange that the trophy just before the plat has a TS and plat itself not...

First I thought that maybe you didn't use this PSV for a while, so the internal battery died and clock got desynced (system would ask you to setup the date again and then you have to sign into PSN to sync it again - actually already explained by Sly Ripper in linked post above), but that can not be the case, since "Mission Specialist" is with TS...

Stupid questions, but did platinum popped "normally"? Like immediately right after the last trophy or maybe with some delay? Were you online that time (which shouldn't be an actual issue, since PSV is not syncning trophies like PS4 - right after obtaining them)?

This is btw probably the reason for my other missing time stamps in street fighter.

Yea it popped normally righter after the last trophy woth no delay. I didn't do anything else with the vita. After the platinum i closed the game and went to the trophys app and it synched. I didn't noticed the missing timestamp there, only after update myself here i saw the missing timestamp and then i went back to the vita and i saw the missing timestamp there too.

The whole thing is a mystery, at least I couldn't find an answer to that. For example - I dusted off my old PS Vita in 2019 during holidays. It had few games (and their respective trophies) installed on system that I haven't touched in years. I manually set time and didn't give it a second thought. Played some of those installed games, earned couple of trophies then when I finally sync Vita, not only new trophies were missing timestamp, but old ones had their time stamp erased that I had earned and synced in 2012-2014.

On PSNProfiles it even had my old timestamps still displayed even thought they were erased on PSN. Then when I bought PS5 it has stupid privacy mode by default that makes your whole profile private. After disabling it, my PSNProfile times also reverted to "missing timestamps".

This is typically caused by a battery draining past it's reserve necessary to keep it's internal clock running and synced to PSN from it's last connection to PSN. It may happen while it was in standby not being used and then a charger is connected and the next time it boots, then the user just selects a Date and Time when prompted upon turning it on and think nothing of it. But until it has connected to PSN via the internet again, the clocks are out of sync and all your trophies earned will have Missing Timestamps.

This case, however, seems to be a bit more complicated...

In this case, one of the Vitas with the platinum is missing timestamps and once PSN syncs a trophy with a Missing Timestamp, there is no replacing it with a valid timestamp. It says in the opening post:

On my vita itself the platinum dosn't have a timestamp.

Yeah, this we know, but OP was playing on one PSV, last trophy just before the plat has TS, plat earned 0 secs after (I guess, as usual, right? ) do not have timestamp. Why?

OP earned recently 17 trophies before the plat, between 9-10 of May 2021, so his PSV was properly synced, no issues with missing timestamps

(except for trophies earned in ¬2019, but that's irrelevant... I guess :D).

So after his 17th trophy popped, triggering the plat, the plat itself do not have timestamp. And that's the question.

EDIT:
I just checked one of my PSV games, where I have majority of the trophies with missing timestamps, since I didn't sync it after battery died.

After I realized that I (instead of deleting the profile, esh...) synced and finished the game and both, last trophy and platinum they do have timestamps.

Sony should fix this issue on their servers when timestampless trophies overwrites others with valid ones. Maybe they are not aware of this.

Sony doesn't take trophies that seriously and it's working as designed: Multiple timestamps will always be written over with the earliest time and 1/1/1970 will always be the earliest time possible, which is the time that a Missing Timestamp represents when someone loses sync with PSN.

You already gave the date for timestampless trophies, just don't allow it to overwrite any other.

How about trophies with an earlier timestamp? Should those not overwrite a trophy with timestamp already?

Everything will work as usual, just adding an exception when overwriting timestamps on the servers.
