Popular Post DavySuicide
Hey my friends, since I started the game recently I decided to share my knowledge with you, The roadmap is kind of outdated in my mind. This isn't meant in a rude way, please don't get me wrong, you did an amazing job but I think some things might have changed and I think I can help future players with this post from a PS5 / 2021 point of view on this game. So lets get started: First and most important things first: 1) Always ( and I mean always ) cloud your save after every session. Even with the latest version installed the game can corrupt your save. It happened twice and I was so glad I clouded earlier. Even if the game itself can be speedrunned pretty fast, the trophies do take a lot of time. Be careful here and cloud your saves often. 2) If possible, play the game on PS5! I installed it on both consoles and man, the game runs better, looks better and the loading times a reduced drastically. You will fast travel a lot between the areas, so make use of your PS5 if possible. 3) It's well known and the roadmap pointed this out as well but just to be sure: Never play this game unpatched, it's a mess. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things I found out in the last couple of days: 1) The most important thing first, everytime a Flashpoint pops up ( the green marked random events on the map ) rush to this point and finish the event. Believe me, even if you are in the middle of something else, drop it and get this event. These events are so rare and will cost you hours and hours if you ( like for me ) need these at the very end of the game. I wish I would have known this earlier. I missed a lot at the start of the game and had to farm them for hours. A lot of people on psnp ( and other boards ) discussed about how these random events spawn, I can't confirm this 100% but I think I found a pretty good way to get 4-5 within an hour. So what I did in the end ( and finally brought me the trophy today ): I always fast travelled between Lombard and the Old Town. Once I fast travelled I stayed at the spot for like 3-4 minutes, if no event spawned, I fast travelled to the other location, rince and repeat. I always got a flashpoint every 15 minutes on a pretty regular basis in both of these locations. And I only took some strike points. I left both areas in enemies hand until the trophy popped. I am not sure if it works with a 100% conquered zone. This tactic was the only way to ensure regular events for me. In almost all cases the Flashpoints popped immediately after I arrived at the location with fast travelling. I don't think this is a coincidence. 2) The trophy "Jobsworth" was tagged as buggy, in fact the trophy is not buggy, the description is just misleading. It says you need to complete all jobs, but that's not true, you onle need to complete 50% of the jobs. The game has 40 jobs in total , once you complete 20 jobs you get the trophy. So there is enough wiggle room to just focus on some easy and quick ones. It was not me who found this out I found it on reddit, but I can confirm this since I got the trophy exactly after my 20th job ( and a friend of me double checked this as well ). 3) I found an even easier way to get the super annoying "Gogigui" trophy. It's kind of similar to the second method from the roadmap, but don't use firecrackers, instead just run into the container asap, and fire up the molotov as soon as the enemies are nearby. You will stay in front and they can't get through the narrow space. You will lit yourself on fire as well, but it does not matter since the trophy pops. I created a short video for this: 3) I can confirm, that "Silent but Deadly" can still be unlocked by reloading the chapter in the "To the rescue" mission. So no need to try this at another spot. Stealth is totally bad an broken in Homefront, so use this method. 4) I found a video that helped me a lot to get the "Inside Job" within like 2 minutes of work. Like i already mentioned the stealth mechanic is a desaster in this game so this method comes in very handy. You barely need to kill any enemies. Follow this video and use this specifid Stronghold, it's by far the easiest method to get the trophy out of the way: 5) There is a very good spot to farm the 30 sniper melee kills for the "Take me out" Trophy in Lombard. You can get one kill within a minute or so. This trophy however seems to be buggy. I am sure I had to kill way more than 30 snipers. If you follow my video you can get the trophy quick nonetheless. Keep in mind that this area will be locked for you until the very end of the game since you need the final security level card to unlock it: 6) I can't confirm, that the Fyre Starter trophy can only be obtained in Lombard since I got the trophy in another area ( forgot which one but it wasn't Lombard ). I just shot at the gas and the trophy popped right away. Maybe it got partched. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One final tip for the multiplayer part. I did all mp trophies with two friends within 4 hours. I can highly recommend to only play the map "Breach and clear". You can finish this map in under 6 minutes with a lit bit of training and you can get enough xp and money for all mp related trophies. We tested all maps and this is by far the easiest and fastest. Finish the map once on normal, once on hard ( even on hard it's totally doable with three people ). Once the difficulty related trophies are out of the way only rush the map on easy to farm the final xp stuff. I can confirm that "Professor Mayhem" is still bugged in a very good way. Stick to the survivor tree and the trophy pops for you. Okay I think that's it I hope these additional information willl help some of you in the future. The game is a rollercoaster. It has some very very cool moments on one hand with amazing ideas and a cool setting but so many broken mechanics on the other... Cheers, Davy! melodicmizery
good tips man for flashpoints if you miss any they carry over to a new game. what i did was play the game on easy and do all the petty side trophies. and then on the hard difficulty i ran through and just nabbed the last 2 flashpoints i needed. i didnt have any save corruption at all. im not sure why. i backed up alot of stuff just in case. i used the disc version so i dont know if that made it more stable. breach and clear is def best mp map, i did alot of it alone to buff up my mp player and then me and another player finished it up. i went auto shotgun and he used lmg. after you pop the mayhem trophy, unlock the hack device. you can hack the turret in the first section. if your on the floor above it and throw the hack on the ground thats what i did. then throw a hack at the truck with the turret when it comes. the gas vents was very glitchy, it didnt pop until i hit a gas vent that hit me and 3 enemies at the same time. i literally spent hours on it. dropping the barrels and killing people took me hours to get. the newest patch takes longer for them to explode. but i dont know if they even register on the old patch as i downgraded and tried farming the first spot and it didnt work. i tried farming both mission spots on old and new patch and neither worked. i agree the guides are a bit janky overall i really liked the game. i had it shelved for 4 years because the first time i played it i didnt like the first mission. but once i retried and got to the second mission and realized the maps alternate back and forth between stealth and gunning i enjoyed it more
DavySuicide
@melodicmizery agreed, the game was far from bad. It had some very cool moments. I think it would have sold better with a little bit more polish and without these terrible bugs. Trophy wise the game is kind of annoying but overall not too bad ( except the flashpoints man this trophy took me hours since I really wanted to get all trophies in a single run ) Glad you hear that you didn't run into serious save corrupt issues. It happened twice immediately after I fast travelled. It is definitely advised to cloud a lot. And you are totally right it is definitely better to do two runs, since everything carries over and it's way easier to clear the 100% on easy and do the rest with deathwish on a second run. Have you played the game on ps5? I've prepared the platinum for a milestone and working on the dlc now, they are actually pretty cool as well.

sephiroth4424
Can you play the story co-op like in Sniper Elite games, or it's a solo game with co-op for online trophies like Uncharted for example?

BestUsername----
This maybe a dumb question, but can base game trophies unlock during the DLC? I see that you need to do silent takedowns in the DLC, would that also unlock the base game trophy of getting 5 silent takedowns?

The trophy where you have to distract a guard for example. It felt like I did many many more in the end. But it definitely works with CP reload. But keep in mind, reloading a cp for the flashbacks wont work you need to gather them in total. Edited July 30, 2021 by DavySuicide
steel6burgh
Thank you for the quick response because that is exactly why i asked the stupid distract the guard trophy which i've been doing for two hours now. I'm actually really liking the game but this trophy is getting old throwing this brick next to the guard. i started with fire crackers than i read they don't work for it as well or possibly not at all so now i'm on the brick. i started picking up one item and selling it to force a save because I started thinking maybe the checkpoint reload wasn't working. Thanks for the conformation! @DavySuicide Edited July 30, 2021 by steel6burgh

Thanks for the conformation! @DavySuicide yes i had the same feeling but keep going the trophy will definitely pop. I only used bricks so I would recommend stay with this method. and always wait until he is back at his guarding spot before you throw the next one. Super stupid trophy. Here's how I did it:
