Popular Post Abby_TheLastofUs
Quote After years of speculation, fan requests, and false starts, TimeSplitters is finally returning for real, courtesy of publisher Deep Silver and a number of the original developers. Deep Silver announced today that a number of "key original members" of Free Radical Design have joined together to reform the studio under the same name, including founders Steve Ellis and David Doak. The studio will serve as a subsidiary of Deep Silver. "To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible," said Ellis. who is serving as the studio development director. "While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future." Sadly, we may have to wait quite a while to see what Free Radicals is cooking up; development is not expected to begin on the new TimeSplitters for a few months, with the team expecting to spend some time building out its studio in Nottingham first. Conor
Interesting, I thought that THQ Nordic had the rights to the IP? Guess they've licensed it out, which is better than just sitting on it. Hopefully the original trilogy gets a remaster at some point as well.

Especially TimeSplitters2 I’d play it just for Siberia... ... or behead the undead ... ... or because it was a split screen multiplayer masterpiece ... ... or because ya no The Handyman ... ... or that soundtrack ... Right why has this taken nearly 20 years ?
dakk55
I hope this means they are also interested in remastering the OG Timesplitters and bringing it to current/next-gen.

On what I learned last week is that Timesplitters 2 is inside Homefront The Revolution as an easter egg. https://www.cbr.com/timesplitters-2-unlock-cheats-guide/ Edited May 20, 2021 by the_real_culture
StraightVege
Probably still my favorite FPS series. The Chinese restaurant theme remains stuck in my head to this day, after the countless multiplayer battles we had on that map. Just hope it turns out well!
