Recommended Class for trophies?

In ME1, I went with the Solider class for Shepard, while I enjoyed that class, it meant that I had to make a second Shepard for one of the power trophies that couldn't be done by any of the crew members. 

Does ME2 have any powers that people should be aware of like that?

All power trophies in ME1 can be achieved by using the crew members.

Exactly. It doesn't matter which class someone picks, the player can use the powers from the squad members. Same goes for Mass Effect 2.

That's not true. None of the crew get access to the Medicine skill, which means only Engineer or Sentinal class Shepard use Neural Shock.

 

Also, as should be obvious from the part of the forums we're in, I'm asking specifically about Mass Effect 2.

I would recommend taking a class that has incendiary ammo (like the Soldier or Vanguard) for the Merciless trophy. That way you don't have to wait for a squad mate to get group ammo or try to constantly knock people off edges.

Topic:

• Infiltrator is fine on insanity in ME2. Also has Incinerate (So the "Merciless" trophy is no problem) and can learn to use the Widow sniper rifle when you embark on the collector ship mission.
• Squadmates should be skilled accordingly. Lots of loyalty skills of squadmates are not suited for insanity.

Engineer AND Sentinel (Not SentinAl) >> Neural Shock is a skill of the Medicine talent. This is not changed in LE: ME1. And since Kaidan Alenko is a Sentinel, he has access to Neural Shock.==> Some of you people must really stop with handing out false information.
