Popular Post BrandedBerserk
Came back to the game recently after starting it on ps4 and picking up on ps5 where I came across a glitch that makes getting gold medals on the prestige race events significantly easier. It's essentially the same infinite boost method someone made a topic about awhile ago but I did some testing and think I've found what causes it but also how to make it consistent once it happens. Step 1 - After playing for a bit, you'll randomly but surely be greeted with a message at the bottom of your screen stating that your connection is poor which will result in your timer going invisible soon after. This is how you'll know that you're probably glitched but keep in mind that there's instances where the timer would disappear before receiving the message, either of them are good indicators of this glitch. Tested a bit more and it seems that getting kicked out for server maintenance is another way to get invisible timer and infinite boost. Step 2 - After that happens, use your nitrous to see how fast its being recharged. If it's going back up almost instantly then you're good to go and now only need one more step to making it consistently infinite. I noticed that when in this state the boost actually runs out if you use it all but takes a lot longer which can be helpful but that's not what you want. Step 3 - Use nitrous till it's almost done then stop and let it recharge, do this repeatedly and after a few times your nitrous will now never run out no matter how long you hold it even if the meter hits zero. This has happened to me across several sessions and majority of the time that's how I got it to work. I'm not entirely sure what causes it but I'm thinking its either server related, backwards compatibility not fully working as it's supposed to or even both. There's times when I would play online matches where everyone was invisible despite playing or even getting booted out for "server maintenance" (this can trigger infinite nitrous as well) Do keep in mind that this only seems to make a huge difference with the race events so don't expect it be a free ticket out of a challenging trophy. I say that because drifts are arguably much harder and nitrous doesn't play too much of a role in those events where you need to score crazy amount of points while dealing with ai. This is definitely gonna cut down the time to 100% depending on how well you manage those drift events but for instance one of the hardest race events "torque of the town" only took me 20 minutes to get gold on and I've completed about half of the race events in about 3 hours whereas on ps4 it took me damn near 15 hours just to get 3 gold medals in race events. I can see this glitch knocking it down from a 10/10 difficulty for your average gamer to an 8.5/10 or even 8/10. Here's some videos showcasing the glitch and me getting gold medals with it, be sure to tune your nitrous to the max so you can hit those high speeds quicker. Let me know if what I explained above works out for yall and maybe even do some testing of your own but it's what I found to work since I've been grinding at it these last couple of days. grimydawg___
8/10 still isn't easy. May be easier, though. Need for Speed wasn't too bad. I'd just have to tune the car a bit for adjustments. That's the key really.

While adjustments to your car is key, I still think the requirements themselves are just extremely tight and shaving off those few seconds or milliseconds to get gold can be an excruciating push. The very first race took me 10 hours to get gold and that was mainly me trying to push for a second or two off the clock, the randomly spawning ai certainly didn't help make that process any smoother than it should have been. The next few were easier but still spent at least two hours to get down and thats without infinite boost of course.
totallycrushed
Interesting. Might need to find a friend close by with a PS5 now
damienjablonski
I was the one that posted about this a while ago. Most of the events still aren’t made “easy” however, as Berserk mentioned. As I said in my post this bug also causes issues mainly in lengthy drift events or races (On The Dream Team) where the unlimited boost is inconsistent (it becomes limited again sometimes). The worst thing is that the bad connection errors actually prevent drift score from counting whenever they appear. This is most annoying on Mental Block which took me 13 hours to gold back then, even with this boost bug because of things like the error preventing combos from being counted. So yeah it’s a great help but it’s not a free ticket as Berserk said Edit: I forgot to mention that drift events seem to be more sensitive to touching walls when the bug is active as well. If you so much as scratch a wall the combos dies Edited June 8, 2021 by damienjablonski
APCGrayLocked
Now we only need a way to deal with those fucking drift events and then this awful mode will be toasted. Edited June 20, 2021 by APCGrayLocked

This glitch helps slightly with drifts as well but they aren't made easy like the race events, still quite hard. I've been playing other games lately but I did manage four gold drift medals in a good amount of time. Believe it or not but I think prestige is fun when you aren't getting fucked by traffic and spawning cars.
Sinthoras_96
If the hardest events are still as hard, I don't think the difficulty is reduced really. The time you need is reduced though.
