rockstarjazz
i am hoping to dive into this one without playing the first, hopefully it wont make things difficult like story etc...?
frazor246
Nah you’ll be fine to play this without playing the first, you won’t be at any disadvantage. The sequel doesn’t really reference any events on the first game, so you won’t really know any difference if you were to go in blind or with context from the first game. DrBloodmoney
It will definitely have a story impact - one of the big reveals of this game will mean nothing if you don't have knowledge of the first game - but in terms of gameplay, it will be fine, and not too much of the first games story will be spoiled, in case you plan to back to the first one later.
Cobbsquatch
You'll be better of playing the first game and the DLC and maybe looking into the Very Little Nightmares mobile game, whether that's a youtube vid, or playing it yaself. The whole series has a lot of excellent world building. The true ending of LN2 is massive in terms of story, but again it's very subtle and if you've not played 1 or paid attention to the lore/story then it won't mean anything. Still a fantastic game imo. XXIIlII
Why do you even want to do that? The first one is as good as this one.
