Resident Evil Village DLC is coming, but likely won’t make it to PC or consoles any time soon, Capcom has today declared.

 

Tsuyoshi Kanda took to Capcom’s livestream to thank players who’ve been enjoying the title since its launch in May. He also confirmed that Village‘s multiplayer add-on Resident Evil RE:Verse will go live next month.

 

Finally, Kanda — or rather, an onscreen message — told fans that Village DLC has “just started” due to “popular demand”… which likely means we won’t be seeing it any time soon. More information on the DLC was promised “later”.

That's cool! so by, "popular demand", I assume that it could be in regards to Lady D. But I would really want to see more Hound Wolf Squad or Ada Wong as she was originally been planned to appear in the game.

Back to the good old days of waiting to see how fans receive the game first before developing DLC. I really enjoyed my first playthrough of this so I think it will be worth the wait. Plenty to play in the meantime!

Heisenberg is really popular too. I'm hoping we get a "What if" DLC with him whereas when he gives us the choice at the factory, we can actually team up with him and get a possible bad end.

I’m hoping for something more like Not A Hero from RE7. Something story based, maybe something on Spencer since his file felt shoehorned in.

If it's "challenge" based, I'd enjoy an Ethan Must Die like mode. If it's more story based, End of Zoe was alright, it wasn't my favourite, but it was also good enough.

Just hope it's not cookie cutter content that just reuses a bajillion assets and looks like it was put together by a 5 year old OR some more "Mercenaries". Hoping it'll be great and fairly priced.

More story content would be great, but i actually expect them to drop more tacked on "mini game" stuff which is usually not that great.

I just don't want Capcom to develop any downloadable content for Resident Evil 8: Village similar to Ethan Must Die and Survival+ from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

I look forward to seeing what the DLC would be like. Enjoying the game now, so curious minds want to know. Always enjoyed the RE franchise and this title has been fun imo. Prefer the third person over first though. We shall see how Capcom will move the series forward. Want a RE4 remake too.

Yeah I'm sure it'll be find regardless. I managed to finish EMD with 20-ish handgun bullets and 30 machine-gun rounds somehow.

I hope it's a really difficult dancing minigame with Lady D, Disco fever style where you get murdered if you dance shit from missing too many button prompts

Of course, making the overall game difficult to get 100% on.

 

Well it wouldn't be too far our of character, considering the previous game Resident Evil 7 had a really difficult poker minigame slapped in there for no particular reason.

 

Or how about an online only mini game where you have to an escort a BSAA agent throughout the house/village 100 times, and also defeat 100 player-controlled agents and 100 player-controlled creatures along the way.

 

Yep, that sounds like a very fun and exciting way to have fun playing for 20+ hours of your time, great content to be added into a survival horror game.
