And it seems they’re trying to normalize it. Where a tiny indie studio might use Kickstarter to raise money and offer rewards for your likeness as an NPC or playable character like in Friday the 13th The Game, now bigger companies can say get our official NFT! Or in this case, be in the game as a metahuman! These things can sell for thousands and the creators get a cut. There are benefits for both the creator and buyer but most common folk won’t see them. Recently one of my favorite alternative bands released a few new tracks exclusively through NFT. Only 200 available and the most serious or rich fans were paying tens of thousands of dollars for a few songs. I don’t know if everyone will get to hear the new music and that’s the only thing that bothers me about them. Sometimes they can be too exclusive for something simple like a few songs. Becoming a metahuman in Stalker shouldn’t affect everyone else, just please the people that have a lot of money to throw around. So I don’t have a problem with this one, though still not a fan of it. I know it's a timed exclusive, but last I read they said they had "no plans" to bring it to PS. Which I thought was an odd move. I couldn't find any news saying definitively it was coming. I hope so. It actually bases your results on your own history and search routines. Therefore, Push Square was not on the top of my search results. That said, you probably didn't read the article. It doesn't give developer confirmation that it's coming to PS5, as per what I asked for. Just yet another useless article among dozens that talk about the leaked documents of it being a 3-month exclusive.
