Popular Post Sendai-Horatio
You can ignore nearly all the boss mechanics and just target the shoulder turrets with either the Frozen Wilds ice rail cannon or flamethrower. With the proper mods you can do over 600 damage per hit with the ice cannon's charge shot. Just simply circle around waiting for the shot to charge and when it does, just hit either of the shoulder cannons until both get destroyed. No need to build up the bosses temperature, no need to hit any of the cooling rods or core. Just Circle around and shoot, and you take off so much health that only a few shots will change the fight's stage progression which means the adds will quickly despawn and won't usually target you. And if you die, the fight will also save your spot depending on what phase you were able to push him to. And an easy way to get end game mods for use on ultra hard is to follow this strategy which works on all difficulties and preferably on your first playthrough. It should only take you like 3-4 minutes to down the boss.
J-S_93
Just got Plat and 100% - thanks for this tip. Ice and Fire weapons are OP. NG+ on Ultra Hard was pretty easy thanks to Shield-Weaver armour.
DanteIshimura
Currently on NG+ run so tips like this are appreciated. Been watching a speedrun as I want to get through it as fast as possible, and it certainly seems like the ice charge shot with the best mods is real game mode changer. Adamdudepure
I got more than enough purple mods through the natural progression of story run, didn't have a need for farming before ultra hard. Between the shield-weaver armor, DLC Ice rail gun, DLC flamethrower and Banuk powershot, you are well equipped to steamroll through the ultra hard difficulty. I would recommend saving the ice and flame ammo for the 5 or so harder machine boss fights as the ammo will go fast on trash. Also read alot of people recommending stealth to avoid optional fight areas. Didn't have time for that shit and just ran through all of it, shield-weaver armor can tank everything.
Rockstar-Suicide
Ugh I'm not liking 100% The DLC feels like a bit of a spike in, I dunno, tediousness? Difficulty? I hate the new machines, weapons and the hunting grounds seems a bit much :(
alexandra-jane09
Did this fight legit on Ultra Hard when I played it, didn't have any issues [ still died a lot ] nor did I need to farm, but the Shield Weaver pretty much protects you for longer and Aloy should be fully upgraded by the time you get to play in UH. JeManquedHygiene
Quote No need to build up the bosses temperature, no need to hit any of the cooling rods or core. I had no idea this was even a thing, honestly. 😂
