Not to forget the homage to previous consoles and attachments/accessory’s. Although it was a great way to start the PS5’s journey, covid and chip shortages meant a lot of delays and games have also been impacted too.. so I went back to PS3 shortly after getting my PS5. I do regret not making this game my first PS5 platinum trophy shortly after getting my hands on the console. When I did back September last year I had only a few days to get used to it before I needed to leave for a trip to Townsville (for all you non-Aussies who grew up watching The Powerpuff Girls, yes there’s a town IRL with that name up in North Queensland) so I decided to go for the Subnautica PS5 platinum instead, coming back from my holiday about a week later I found myself too busy grinding Battlefield: Hardline for the 10,000 agent class kill trophies and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout for whatever else I needed left for that platinum to begin Astro’s Playroom, eventually I did so by the end of November. An excellent, however brief experience that can be completed in a few hours but who am I to complain about Astro’s Playroom when compared to previous PlayStation console demo/showcase titles? Because unlike Welcome Park and The Playroom on the PS Vita and PS4 systems respectively, what we have here is a full freakin’ game! The PS5 had sold 30 million units before the end of last year and with their ability to make and ship enough to keep replenishment in stores world wide this year, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them already over 40 million sold and probably be closer to 60 by the end of the year. I meant getting people into trophy hunting and encouraging more users to join up to the site, not automatically including absolutely everyone who has a trophy list.
