Update:

 

Finished LiS: Before the Storm over the weekend. I loved this games soundtrack, and the newly introduced characters were interesting. I didn't enjoy it as much as LiS but it's definitely still a game worth playing. I ended up having to watch the 'Farewell' bonus episode because I never bought the deluxe edition and I wasn't going to shell out €10 for an hours worth of content. This game had no shortage of emotional scenes and I can't wait to replay LiS now that I've formed more of a bond with Rachel.

 

I also started MW2 Remastered today. Still pissed that they didn't include the Spec Ops missions. Those were so much fun. Should knock this one out during the week!

So nothing quite finished yet but I'm about done with Ninjago.  Just need to go through the obligatory list of Lego collectibles.

 

I decided to hold off on seriously starting Mortal Kombat X for a bit and went into Outland.  Game is fairly hard but I was able to get a trophy knocked out on it.  New totals below (dropped the PS4 from the end of the PS3 games I was gonna play on PSNow, felt superfluous).  I'll likely update again in a week or so, maybe after getting something or a couple of them knocked out.

There's some unobatainable trophy on Mortal kombat xl especially you start from the beginning. you should check first any games that you wanted to play but still avoid any spoilers if you don't want to ruined your experiences or trophies

Can you specify the trophies that are unobtainable? I know the Invasion ones are a pain but I didn't see anything about unobtainable ones ( not that it's impossible I missed them haha)

Update 1...

 

The month started off rough.  I am having issues with bugged trophies for Maneater on PS5.  I've tried replaying some requirements multiple times, even from fresh save files and it isn't working.  I'm going to put it aside until either they patch it, or I give in, finish the PS4 version, and then auto-pop the PS5 to keep the 100% account alive.

 

So in its place to start the event, I've been simultaneously running 3 games.  inFamous Second Son, Ratchet & Clank 2, and MLB 14 The Show (Vita).  Bit unusual for me to run more than one, let alone three, but I'm having fun with all the different types of games.  I'm mainly buying some time until I get my new OLED TV in to run Horizon Zero Dawn to 100%.  Can't wait to get some of these plats out of the way!

So, done with the first week of this! Ended up playing games that i stupidly didn't add to my backlog challenge. Soul Calibur V for instance, and Brave. Well well.
Other than that i got Dark Cloud done! Feels fantastic, I never got to complete the game back in the PS2 days
I have also started on MediEvil, not finding it as fun as I had hoped though.

In regards to Brave, i started it at 0% on Sept 3rd, is it okay to retroactively add it to this list, or did I miss my opportunity? I'm adding it to the bottom of my list but will remove it if it isn't okay.

First time for me joining this type of challenge so these mishaps will happen!

Dark Souls II: Still haven't entered NG+; cleaning up as much as I can before I jump into that mess.  Had to make myself a checklist of things I need to find and bosses I need to summon Benhart and Lucatiel for since I didn't do it properly the first time.

 

Spyro 2: Honestly just enjoying reminiscing.  I found this is a great game for relaxing after a long day at work.  Takes you back to simpler times.

Update 1 -

 

I started to make some decent progress with Judgment and I'm really enjoying it so far. It took a while for it to really connect with me - but I think I’ve been so conditioned by the Yakuza formula I went into it expecting that same structure and story type. Once I realised it is firmly setting out to be its own thing, with some echoes of the Yakuza series in the story, it worked way better.

 

It's clear they are really trying to go for a completely new franchise here and while the criminal underworld from the Yakuza games is definitely there and you do interact with various members, it’s all from a completely different perspective. Where you used to be honor-bound, punch throwing, heavy hitting characters firmly placed within the criminal organisation - now you are a less physically imposing ex-lawyer turned private detective, who is firmly seen as an outsider to that same organisation.

 

And that's where the fun stuff comes in - Tak (the main character) can't just run in and start swinging all the time, he has to rely on his detective side heavily: his powers of deduction, interviewing witnesses, finding evidence to convict all manner of criminals and so on. There have been points in the game so far where if it was a Yakuza game I would have been made to just beat everyone up and then get the info I needed, but here I might need to go into 1st person mode and start examining the scene for clues and compile evidence. I might even start up my surveillance drone and fly it around to look for clues where I can't go. Overall - that crime gameplay has been great so far and they've done a great job of making me feel like a Private detective moving around the city, solving crimes and mysteries both small and massive. 

 

Don't get me wrong, the really satisfying hand-to-hand brawl combat is definitely still present and there are just as many occasions to fight and let loose, but it's also really nice to have some pretty inventive parts to missions and side-content that don't just involve the formula of - beat people up - advance - beat people up - advance.

The main story started slowly and I'm guessing it's because this is a brand new title, with new characters and they want to really open that up for people. But it gets progressively more and more heated up as things go to the point now where I really want to see what happens next. They also changed the pace of the main story too compared to the Yakuza games - Yakuza main story missions were very self contained and specific, whereas in Judgment they've woven less integral elements into the structure, clearly designed to grow the characters out a bit more, which for me really enriches the whole experience. It feels more like a TV series this way and they've done a good job of giving characters room to breathe. This is actually something that the Yakuza games could have benefitted from.

 

Can't wait to play more of this! Hope everyone is off to a good start with the challenge and i'll see you in the next update

So off to a slow start this time around - I've played a fair bit of games that are nothing to do with this event though, so that's something... ? A little progress was made on ME3, while the previous entry is the hardest on Insanity, I had forgotten how rough parts of 3 are as well! It's slowing my progress a fair bit (so many deaths), but hopefully I'll get into the swing of it soon. Next up is a few side-missions and Priority: Tuchanka which is possibly one of my favourite missions (mostly for the narrative) so I'm looking forward to that.

Not much progress for me in week 1. Still playing too much Destiny 2. Turns out there's a lot to catch up on after not playing for over a year! I did manage to knock out a couple of the harder trophies for Resogun though. The 1CC trophy is the only challenging one left so I should have the plat this week. I didn't realize just how much DLC was added so the 100% is going to take a little longer than I originally thought. But, that's why I put a few short games on my list. I can knock one or two of those out while going for the Resogun 100%.

Hi! Quick little update from me, even though I updated yesterday. My plan was to update weekly, but this is so new (and fun) for me that I go over my list multiple times per day.

Still figuring out the games I want to focus on, and I've decided to max out my Playstation Now subscription until it ends in two weeks. So, adding a couple more games to the list now!

Started with playing Altered Beast for PS3, a game very close to my heart. A very nostalgic couple of hours there.

Will probably finish Brave when I get home from work, and spend a while playing local co-op with my lady on Moving Out. Quite fun little game, very reminiscent of Overcooked which we very much enjoyed. If you guys know any more games like these, please let us know! ?

I just had a long(er) weekend with Monday being a holiday here. I thought with the extra free time I would be able to get to the end of Darksiders but not just yet. Before I reach the final boss I'll have to do a cleanup. I also missed a couple of trophies which means a partial second playthrough is required.

I also knocked out the Story Mode in F1 2021. It's full of drama as one would expect and the writing isn't great but at least they're are trying/expanding on something new. Some of the races are "scenario" races which the early F1 games had that I did like back then.

 

My plan for the week is to complete Darksiders (I got my controller rubber banded right now for riding 100 miles on my horse) and start on Heavy Fire... maybe start career in F1 too if I have time.

there's always Godhood Garrus if you get tired of ME3 Insanity lol

 

on the second partial playthrough you have to do for Gunsmith, I did this build on insanity for shits and giggles...Garrus killed an Atlas before finishing his voice line warning me that there was an Atlas about to spawn.

I got some pretty good progress in Destiny so far. All the raid trophies are done except one Kings Fall run on hard. I just need to level up my other 2 classes and do some cleanup now.
