Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
Finally Updating: I'm not going to count Astro's Playroom since I hadn't officially included it before I decided to switch things up. Work has been more worky than usual, but now that I'm back in civilization again I'm going ham. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> currently at 71% Still need to finish up the cleanup in the first playthrough. Doing an area with a buddy this Friday then I'm going to grind out solo areas to start new game +. Then a mad dash through ++. Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - 13% --> Haven't touched it, yet. Plan is finished, I'll get to it eventually. FFVII - started at 10% --> currently at 15% I just couldn't bring myself to get back into this one for some reason. I'll probably get back to this after finishing DSII or Berserk. Maybe. Berserk - started at 4% --> currently at 66% Griffith is done with the Endless Eclipse (2/8 down!). Brought Wylde up through level 80 and Zodd through level 20. I'm going to put the collection list on an Excel so make tracking easier, I'm going to grind out equipment while doing the rest of the characters to cut out as much grinding as possible. Spyro 3 - started at 8% --> 30OCT2021 Started losing the fun around the third hub world. I am extremely grateful I didn't need 100% collection for this one. Call of Cthulhu - started at 22% --> I don't remember why I dropped this one to begin with, so I'll probably be starting over when I get to it. Naruto: UNS - started at 10% --> 01NOV2021 Enjoyed it immensely until Cannon Master. I think I spent an hour over two days trying to line up perfectly for that one trophy. Definitely had the anime going while playing it (Currently back at the Kankuro/Shino fight while typing this). Greedfall - started at 14% --> Another game that I don't remember why I dropped it. Been looking at gameplay and don't understand why I would unless I just got busy with work and forgot about it. Fernz Gate - started at 1% --> I had originally started this on leave and was going to be playing it with my mom, but I kinda love these Kemco games and how they force you to obtain all the collectables and grind out max levels and secret bosses in their format so I won't be waiting until I go home next. I think I'll probably stop short on either DSII or Berserk and save one of those for plat 150 since I'm so close. Definitely cabinet material. I'm enjoying the planning aspect of tackling different genres as well actually playing the games. Feels good to slow down and soak in some story rather than mad-dash for acquisition again.

Popular Post iXanon
...time to play (and try to finish) some PS3 games! I realise this event is 2 months in already, but there's still nearly 4 months to go (if you'll have me @MidnightDragon). My track record with completing events is abysmal, but.. let's see if I can try and turn over a new leaf by submitting and hopefully 100%ing an initial list of 5 ? I will state for the record that I also plan to be working on a couple of PS4 games outside of this event, but their trophy lists are as such that it wouldn't make sense to include them in any event.. Alien Breed: Impact (PS3) - 5%Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3) - 44% L.A Noire (PS3) - 30% Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (PS3) - 18% Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (PS3) - 7% *Two games can have a completion percentage of up to 50%, but the rest must be 33% or under.

Popular Post LegendExeter
Update #3: God of War III - 0% God of War Ghost of Sparta - 0% God of War Chains of Olympus - 100% Complete 11/03/2021 Tokyo Jungle - 100% Complete 09/26/2021 InFamous - 100% Complete 10/15/2021 * We have some work to do at "work" so it actually took a bit longer for Chains of Olympus, and I would say it's nearly an easier game than Ascension IMO. * I swapped out Fat Princess before we started, yet actually got a copy of the DLC and got that 100% to, yet I will keep the list at 5, and will start Ghost of Sparta next, leaving GOW III for last as I've heard its the best one or ends the timeline. * After seeing some of your other posts, I'm tempted to play LA Noire, at least it's providing me some good game ideas. Popular Post damcrac5
Completion #8. Going Commando was another highs and lows game for me. Started out having some fun, but then I progressed into harder portions of the game without enough bolts to purchase the stronger weapons and armor and was dieing a lot. The guide on the site said just play the campaign without much detail on what to focus on and I paid for it by sticking with the main story only. As soon as I went back did several challenges on a couple of planers, purchased my flying battle droids and armor and the game became a blast again. Only to bang my head against a wall trying to fly my ship through tiny rings without brakes lol. Ended up around 30 hours to plat instead of the 15 on the guide, which hurts a little bit but overall I enjoyed it and considered jumping straight into Up Your Arsenal. Next up is a game that is not in the backlog in The Touryst, because it is the first 4k 120hz game I've gotten a hold of. So far it really does look and feel amazing despite the basic graphic design and I look forward to a nice easy enjoyable 100%. Both R&C2 and The Touryst count towards the Trophies against Cancer event, which is why The Touryst got the jump on the too lost. I'm up to $15 in personal donations to go along with the OP's massive sum he is building up. After that, I will dig into another PS+ collection game in Until Dawn. Little late for Halloween, but it's my first horror title and am looking forward to testing the waters. Need to visit the thread more often. It might be time to play The Wolf Among Us, Little Nightmares II and The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes but .... which to start first?!? So apparently I am not too good at planning as I never did start any of the three games I thought I would. Instead I have been working on completing my easy/collectible run in Sniper Elite 3. I have 2 more missions to go and I hope to finish them up this week/weekend. Also want to get some co-op in to finish the dlc for Operation: Tango and maybe make more progress in Remnant or Demon's Souls. I did start and finish a new game this past weekend called Shady Part of Me. Its an interesting puzzler game which gave me vibes from both Little Nightmares and Contrast. It will only take you a couple evenings to finish but you will wish it was longer. The art style and music are spot on and the puzzles grow more complex as the game goes on. None are crazy hard but you do need to think a little to complete the game. If you enjoy puzzler type games I would highly recommend (especially if you find it on sale). Id finish the main game first so not to spoil the puzzles as the dlc is pretty much a mashup of puzzles from the game thrown into a new scenario. The kicker is you have to solve them quickly to get that gold medal. I have been working on it with @Spacey Dweeb and I believe we are just over halfway. Another session or two (when our schedules match up) and we should be able to finish them up.
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Toasty War Journal #8 11/3/21 Late update for me, and sadly yet again I've gone leprechaun and come up a bit short. Lots of busy, lots of life, and may I humbly suggest - if your job calls on your day off, don't answer the phone. I fall for it every time, I tellsya. But no matter. Excuses are like opinions about the pandemic - nobody wants to hear about it! A Wolf Among Us was a quick wrap, and I really liked it! That comic book animation style they rock with is dope, and I really dug the fact that many of your choices can have a significant effect on the story. That's a really underrated quality in games like these! Marrakesh is in the books, and all I've got left for Hitman is the trophy that glitched on me, getting all the opportunities in The Icon. I'll probably try to knock that out tonight. Also, now that I know Hitman 2 doesn't have any autopopping trophies, I just might be adding that here. Might being the operative word, though - I need to see how this week goes first! Powering through getting an A+ on every level, and once that's done, Hotline Miami is done. Such a fun, wild game. Frustrating at times, but it's been such a pleasant surprise. I'm more nervous about The Witness, really! I'm near the end of that one as well, and The Challenge is already giving me anxiety? So if I can tackle these games, I think it's back to FFIX and Yakuza 0, and if I can get back into the swing of those nice and smoothly, then we'll talk Hitman 2! Doin my best to keep up with y'all! As usual, thank you for posting and thank you for reading!?? 1. Resident Evil 5 (28%) 2. Yakuza 0 (22%) 3. Hitman (90-->99%) 4. Final Fantasy IX (8%) 5. Cities: Skylines (12%) 6. I found the 5 million gold wasn't too much of a grind, it's those 500 bounties that's the killer ? Thanks! Luckily, it seems like the PS3 version doesn't have the 500 bounties trophy. Just the one for killing 500 elites. But the downside is that the enemy mobs aren't as dense on PS3 so gold is harder to come by. Either way, it'll be a good "zone out" game to play while catching up on some podcasts.

Popular Post JPHolzer
Update #1 Well, just like in the summer challenge, life has been getting in the way of gaming, so I have barely made any progress in the games I selected for this challenge. Moreover, I just started a new project at work that will require a lot of travel in the next few months, so I will use my swaps to put some Vita games. Call of Duty: Ghosts (9%): Barely started this one, but I have slowly grinded some levels in order to be able to access the relics in Extinction mode. I haven't started the campaign properly yet, but I do still expect to finish this one up by the end of the challenge; Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (0%): I will be swapping this one out for The Bridge (23%), a neat little puzzle game that will probably will be played mostly in airplanes in the coming months; Doom (38%): After 22 hours of playtime, I have finally finished up the online portion of this game, hooray! I will be focusing on the campaign now, in order to wrap this on up before the turn of the year; Doom Eternal (0%): I will also be swapping this one for a Vita game, in this case The Swapper (15%). I don't even own the DLC for Eternal yet, so I reckon I should wait until I can properly complete it; Mortal Kombat 11 (10%): Did some progress, finished up the campaign and only got 1 online trophy left. The grind is real in this one though, so I expect to fully focus on this game in 2022; Oxenfree (33%): finished up a blind playthrough of Oxenfree and really enjoyed it, but I just haven't had the will to go through the game 2 more times. I will eventually get to it, and hope to finish this one up by the end of the year as well. Swaps used: 2/5. Lovely reading all the updates, keep up the awesome work everyone!
Popular Post Heather342
Update 12 I've decided to organise my remaining time on this challenge to clear 2 games each month. My roadmap is as follows: - November -> finish Alien Isolation and Demon's Souls - December -> finish AC Black Flag and Crash Team Racing - January -> finish Ghost of Tsushima and Crash Bandicoot - February -> finish Two Point Hospital For my gaming time this week, I spent quite a lot of time playing Demon's Souls. This is actually a lot of fun playing with friends, and managed to get through pretty much all the bosses except the final one. I need to spend time going back and collecting the rings, spells and miracles before I jump into New Game +. Alien Isolation has mainly been a whole heap of backtracking and mission save reloading to find all of the collectables. Was quite a drag, I wish I'd paid more attention when I was on my first playthrough. But it's done now, all I have left here is Survivor mode and One Shot. Gonna take a little break away from it though, that first playthrough was so intense I can't jump straight back into it just yet ? Trophy progress: - Alien Isolation - 77 -> 82% - Demon's Souls - 22 -> 48%
Popular Post freddie1989
Update from me as Payback is now my latest platinum. All I have to say about the game is balls to drift zones. Balls to those poker chips collectibles. Other than that I had fun with it. It gets repetitive and has a bit of an unnecessary grind to it but not bad overall. Will grab DLC when it's not overpriced hopefully one of the coming sales has it. No more racing games for a while!! As usual it's brilliant to see everyone taking a hefty big axe to their backlog - before long I'm sure a fair few of us are going to be smashing those doors down and doing our very best "HERE'SSSSS JOHNNY!" I know it's a while back now but @gruffiiti - I absolutely feel your pain with Deponia Doomsday, I meant to drop a comment about it at the time, but I kind of forgot to, so I'll just do it now - you weren't the only one that messed up ONE jackalope, out of about a bajillion, I had to go through one by one again myself, and - well, that's definitely an evening I won't be getting back anytime soon - I think that gave me a fair few new grey hairs too...... Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it anyway 18 hours ago, freddie1989 said: Balls to those poker chips collectibles. Other than that I had fun with it. It gets repetitive and has a bit of an unnecessary grind to it but not bad overall. Will grab DLC when it's not overpriced hopefully one of the coming sales has it. That is a scarily accurate assessment of NFS: Payback...... Oh and I think that every character except Mac is a complete and utter douchenozzle/ unlikeable skid mark on the underpants of society. Still, manky grossness aside for the moment - yes that is all too accurate. I didn't actually mind the game much myself either, I just found a bit of the cleanup a little bit boring like you seemed to have done. Particularly those poker chips, especially the ones on jumps, because they're just so finicky, especially as you have to get the perfect amount of speed on a run up to not actually overshoot them. That DLC is good by the way, it's very short though, so yeah I'd probably wait for a sale too. I don't think it took me any longer than about four hours at the most to get through it all, so it's definitely one you want to want to pick up cheap, so you don't feel too ripped off. I mean it's more Mac, so that's good at least. I guess I better actually mention my progress I suppose I'll do the easy part first haha Progress on Stranded Deep. So...... You'd still all be screwed if you got stranded on a desert island with me I'm afraid..... I'd also deliberately leave One Coconut to talk to anyway, and name it CocoSmevz ? - so that'd be one less day of food just to make the time pass by quicker ........ Judging by my first five days in this game, it looks like I'd eat all the rations before I'm actually hungry enough to need them, then I'd try and exclusively feed us on coconuts for the next ten days....... Oh and possibly during this time I also might impatiently launch myself out of a tree and break my leg because I couldn't be bothered to climb down slowly after fetching us more coconuts for our dinner. You know, because I clearly thought eating them for ten days was a great idea! It's fine though,I piled up all the rocks and sticks on the beach, and then ate too many Coconuts before I could build something to water my farm with......... Yep, all of that happened, so I think I might restart my playthrough haha. ...... You live and you learn right? This game is going to be a learning process for sure, but I'm still enjoying it a fair amount. I mean my trophy progress was pretty tiny - I planted a farm - and then at some point I ran into a flock of seagulls....... Then I ran, I ran so far awaaa............SSSSSHHHHHHHHHH - well I would have if I actually even saw the seagulls, and was genuinely surprised when that trophy popped up. Thoughts on Cat Quest II Play this! Well - and the first one too obviously. Is it very easy? Yes. Is it very fun? Yes........ Is it a worthwhile experience? Yes, it absolutely is. It's not reinventing the wheel or anything of that nature, but the game itself much like the original is a thoroughly enjoyable and charming experience. It's a pretty perfect way to unwind, as the game requires pretty much no brain power whatsoever to actually have an enjoyable time with it. It is the lightest of light RPG's but it really does scratch that itch that I personally get every now and then as an RPG. It's got that satisfying gameplay loop of just simply going from place to place completing quests, earning equipment, and making progress. It was short and it was sweet. I've got a fuller length review here - I quickly found that it's hard to really analyse a game that has as few components as that game does, so it turned out to be a fair bit shorter than my usual long old twaddle. Also it's got pink in the thumbnail so it was nice to be able to add this to my tally for the Trophies to Fight Cancer event as well - so what's not to like really. Thoughts on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 What a pleasant surprise this game turned out to be......Now - I'm not going to claim this is the greatest video game to movie tie in or anything, because it isn't. However, it is crafted with love, which is a rare commodity when it comes to EA, and it is a massive improvement over The Deathly Hallows Part 1. To a ridiculous degree as well, that game wasn't terrible it was just overwhelmingly average in almost every department. Hallows Part 2 has plenty of good things to actually praise it for as well, it's not me being blinded by Harry Potter fandom. It's functionally a decent game - and I essentially played through it twice in one day, and wasn't bored the whole time. I never really do the whole number out of ten thing, but if I was going to, Hallows Part 2 is a solid 6.5, but not quite a 7 whereas the first one was like a 4.5 perhaps. It was just surprisingly very fun - and the three main characters manage some absolutely top notch voice acting - other characters much less so, but you can't win them all. I'm fairly sure if you like Harry Potter then you'd actually probably have a half decent time with the game - it's probably the second best Harry Potter game that has trophies in it - Half Blood Prince being far and away the best one. I could think of worse things to have to clear off your backlog, so I guess I can't really complain. As with Cat Quest I have a much more in depth analysis of it here....... Where for some reason I compared what Molly Weasley looks like in this game to an owl that's been drenched in a dirty puddle....... That was my interpretation of it I guess ? It's also got Orange in the thumbnail so it was another one I could stick on the pile for the Trophies to Fight Cancer event too - I'd consider that one, win, win. What's Next? I'm planning on knocking out Lego Movie 2: The Video Game over the weekend if I can - as that's another pink thumbnail game - so I'll try and get that done - I'm sort of dreading that, as I've not really heard any particularly positive things about it, well that and the fact I feel like I have to go watch the film first before starting it. So I might go and get that done now. Anyway - Keep up with the awesome progress everyone, I'm loving reading about it all. Sorry this has been a long read and what not, so if you've stayed to the end fair play.. I ought to perhaps write a little less ? Catch you all in the next one! Popular Post RoastedPeanut
Update #11 There goes another week! I decided to fire up Kandagawa Jet Girls seeing as it had been sitting there for ages unplayed. After a slow start I have to say I really enjoyed it. It was a really easy platinum, but overall I had a lot of fun. I don't have much left in Samurai Shodown either, but I'm having a real difficult time trying to find a team game to play to knock off that one trophy. I tried with a boosting session, but no luck. Oh well, I'll keep at it. I'm currently in the mood for a shooter, so I'll probably fire up MW2 or Crysis 2 soon, but I'd really like to knock off a couple more games. Seeing as my list has ballooned out to 25 games, I need to start knocking off 5 per month. Challenge accepted! Happy hunting, everyone! Popular Post StilRh
Hi lovies. Update time! Once again not much in the way of trophies. As part of my self prescribed rehab for long Covid I've been exercising and meditating and hour each a day (the later to rebuild my focus due to cognitive effects I experience) and this is coming out of what would be my gaming time. No regrets, I think even once I get these symptoms shifted I'll continue these habits for a quality of life boost I've also been using my 'free' time trying to build relationships with the team I now have a supervisory role in and so I've either been pretending to be a social butterfly over coffee/beer or (sad dweeb that I am) watching youtube videos on how to be make friends This week has lead to larger questions about gaming (which I have no shame in saying is the biggest passion and interest in life) and where exactly it should 'fit' in to the life I am trying to cultivate. This is not a 'I quit gaming' post by any means, I do love vidya and some of the best moments in my life have been games related (my wow guild raiding, my university computer society lan parties, watching E3 with friends like it was a big sporting event/oscars to name a few) but at the moment it feels like something that I shouldn't spend too much time or energy on... for now at least Anyways. This week I have dabbled with Corpse Party, getting another 10% on the board. I did a few Hades runs and spent maybe an hour or two on Riftbreaker. I would like to finish a game this week. I could just follow a guide and speedrun Corpse Party or Visage. But both are really good playing blind. I guess I'll play whatever is easiest to pick up and play. Have a great week all.
