In the end things usually turn out to be easier than what I expected. The trophy/plat is pretty "common" even after it was a PS+ game meaning it's probably not that bad. Everyone was saying on the forum how much trouble they were having getting the Black Hole Concurrence. You defiantly need to be lucky and hope that you get consistent Mist charges popping up but it took me maybe 30 minutes of trying before I got one.

There were maybe 2 combat encounters near the end of the game that I found a bit challenging, but mainly it was stupid mistakes I made on the platforming sections that caused me the most trouble in the D O run. Popular Post MidnightDragon
Due to a bunch of shit both in and out of my control, I know I won't be able to finish my list. However, gonna keep going to see how much of it I actually can do. I think in the spring, I'm just gonna the minimum and not add anything unless I feel confident I'll finish. Still too busy to play much and I'm STILL stuck on Puzzle Bobble. Meh. Not sure why I'm having so much trouble getting past this level. Popular Post DFuzed
Another month has gone by and it's time for another more elaborate, in-depth talk about the games I played this month. Maybe not the most interesting thing around but I rather do a monthly update than a huge weekly or daily updates. It's rather cathartic to talk about the games I've played since, outside a few close friends and, more recently, my previous girlfriend, not many people I interact with don't play console games. Not that they don't appreciate them but, with Covid still a huge thing, being able to talk to those friends and show off games to them has become difficult if not impossible. Yes they can watch videos and such but it's not the same. /rant Ok let me start talking about this month's games starting with: Link-a-Pix Deluxe (Vita) - Finally finished this game, as I was using it as a backup game. While I spent a lot of time playing the PS4 version (which I still played after platting it) I was more focused on getting the trophies on this version. Mainly because I wanted to get it over with and partly because I didn't like the Vita version as I did the PS4 version since the screen area was smaller and the controls were harder to control (but that might be more because of my Vita than the game itself). In any case it's done. I'll likely pick up another of these games in the next set of challenges later or might swap in if I think it's needed. Lego Batman 2 - Worked on this while on vacation and managed to finish the story and collected all of the Red Bricks, Sound Bites and Collectables in the Free Play Mode. All that is left is to finish the Justice League Mode and get gold in these challenges. Haven't really made a serious attempt on these but will next month, once again when on vacation. I can see that the game is quite dated, compared to later Lego titles both in the abilities each character gets and that it has the Near feature that Vita pushed earlier on. To it's credit though, in some ways it didn't feel like it was sloughing through like other Lego games did. To put it a different way, it had it's moments where the system was simpler compared to even it's sequel. But it definitely didn't age well and I'll make a push to finish it when the time comes. Life is Strange (PS4) - I mentioned before how I've always enjoyed this series. How its story has had its unique twist where what you do affects things later on and that's before the super powers come into play. This game isn't any different as the gimmick of empathic powers and how they evolve as the game progresses impressed me. How reading a person and given a new dialog choice has always been fun as had being sucked into their view of the world as another person's emotions overwhelm them. The LARPing mid-series and the camera angle changing to a typical fantasy RPG view won me over in a minute and on and on and on. I really loved this game and could harp on everything that happened but I won't. Highly recommended if you haven't played this game or series. Diablo 2 Remastered - Not much progress in this after my initial attempt through on Hardcore Mode stalled. I started playing without Hardcore Mode on and got far, but haven't played much, partly because I have been focusing on other games, partly because replaying Normal alone multiple times has become stagnating, partly because I haven't had the time to have a good sit down to play it and partly because I have friends who are interested in playing with me in the future. So while I might have this on the back burner I haven't given up on this game yet. Epic Word Search Collection 2 (Vita) - While I had some trophies done on this game previously, they were some that I could do quickly, mostly because I needed to do trophies for my daily limit. I haven't touched this game in over two months, with my main focus being the other games that I wanted to finish first and this as my later games. I've done all of the tougher trophies, if you can call them that, first with only needing to find specific words now. Trying not to burn through these if possible but I've had to, especially when other things are going on and it's easier to do these than hoping to get trophies in my main games. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - Had one last hurrah for this game as I kept from platting this as I wanted it to be my 300th plat. I had one last of the side stories not done so I could control when it got platted. I did go back and play parts of the game where I enjoyed the story and marveled at how intricate the story was. Compared to the Phoenix Wright stories, where the last game brought everything together, this game started with a twist and each case was intertwined into the main story, albeit some just to set up other cases or things that happened at the same time as others. Still enjoyed this series and hope they release more of the like. Persona 5 Royal - I first played this with some skepticism as they made a good game and, typically, when they add or take stuff out of a re-release that some or most is crap. Well some things were definitely appreciated, but I could see where they tried desperately to push and rewrite the narrative to add this stuff. While some things, like the Showtime combo moves are appropriate and entertaining, I liked the Theives Den aspect they added and they got rid of some of the worse and harder trophies, some things felt forced and possibly unnecessary. I get that having a grappling hook would be something that could be used, that you have no choice to use it in sections is annoying. Bringing in new characters, one that was blatantly obvious would be a bad guy, didn't feel right, although they at least tried to keep from having similar backgrounds from the other characters is understandable. I did like that they had characters who were going to join you later on be in the background at times, such as when walking to school. Currently I'm about to enter the ship Palace so still got some things to do so I'll reserve my final conclusion later. ...And that's it for this month. Catch you next time on the same Bat-Time, same Bat-channel.
Popular Post skeggah
Hi! I wish I had more of an update, I prefer making them when completing a game, but.. Started ME2 recently and have just finished my first dossier (Mordin). I am completely stressing out with the different tech-trophies. Incinerate armor, warp barriers and overload shields. I will probably do a search for where to get these as painless as possible, can't seem to trigger the first one using Incinerate Ammo. Maybe I'm just not getting it because I suffer from spontaneous stupidity. It's a chronic condition where I randomly don't bleeping understand the simplest of things. Sackboy is fuun! Just finished the third world while getting everything in every level together with m'lady. I can already tell that the gray hairs will come out in full force when going for String it Together! The Smurfs has only a bunch of collectibles to clean up, will probably get to starting it tomorrow! I enjoyed the game up to this point, hope to finish it without changing how I feel about it! Just got 4 new games delivered that I'm thinking of putting on this list. I would like it to go up to 30 games, but I continually procrastinate on 2 of the ones that are already on here. Decisions, decisions, decisions! Completed games! 1) Dark Cloud (PS4) 2) Altered Beast (PS3) 3) Brave (PS3) 4) Moving Out! (PS4) 5) Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PS4) 6) MediEvil (PS4) 7) Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride (PS4) 8) Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard (PS4) 9) Order Up!! (PS3) 10) Little Nightmares 2 (PS5) 11) LEGO Marvel's Avengers (Vita) 12) Seasons After Fall (PS4) 13) Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood (PS4) 14) Knack 2 (PS4) 15) Overcooked: All You Can Eat (PS4) 16) LEGO Jurassic World (Vita) 17) Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (PS4) 18) Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS4) - 100 Ongoing games! Samurai Warriors 5 (PS4) - 52% Legend of Kay Anniversary (PS3) - 1% Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition (PS4) - 0% --> 9% (Updated) Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition (PS4) - 0% The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf (PS4) - 31% --> 70% (Updated) Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS5) - 47% --> 65% (Updated) Swaps: 1/5 Subnautica (PS5) - LEGO Jurassic World (Vita)
Popular Post Heather342
Update 17 I managed to make some progress this week on the trophy completion percentages. I picked up CTR last week, and I played a few more crystal challenge races to work towards that trophy. I tried practicing the drift boost again, I find it really hard to maintain the boost for extended time. I end up crashing into a wall or something. Just have to keep on trying though, as mastering the boost is the only way to complete adventure mode on hard and the time trials. Ghost of Tsushima, still having loads of fun in the multiplayer with @TheLordJusticar, all classes are at rank 20 now, so only the raid left to complete the Legends DLC. But my main game this week has been Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I'm currently on Sequence 4, but I'm also generally sailing around in my boat picking up the misc trophies, plundering ships for loot to upgrade the Jackdaw etc. I've also managed to find 2 of the 3 social events for the 'Sharing is Caring' trophy which is a notoriously annoying trophy, because of the random spawn points. So I just sail in random directions now looking for the White Whale ? Trophy progress: - Ghost of Tsushima - 13 -> 15% - Assassin's Creed Black Flag - 18 -> 28%

So I keep doing my usual thing of saying I'll start one thing and then starting something completely different - so instead of playing Mars: War Logs when I planned to I actually just jumped on into VA-11 Hall-A, got so into that I played it in two sittings over thirty-six hours...... Whoever said you needed sleep right? ? So after I've posted this I think I will go and at least fire up Mars: War Logs for maybe an hour or so and get that on the cooker so to speak - it'll be good to go back to a nice bit of tasty RPG-ing I think. Even if it is a janky EuroRPG......... But erm, I have a confession to make - THOSE ARE KIND OF MY FAVOURITE SORT.... I feel like I really need to get Stranded Deep done now too - because I've sat on it for ages. Plus it's bumped my unearned trophies count higher, making me self conscious ...... ..... I have a plan though - which probably means I'll do the opposite, if my usual activities during this challenge are anything to go by. Bear with me though - my plan, is to tackle Stranded Deep for as long as I can, then once it starts to grate on me - fire up The Wolf Among Us, and make some progress on that, that way it should keep me fairly focused on both things. So what did I think of VA-11 Hall-A I loved it - simple as that..... ...... I am admittedly not the most well versed of folk when it comes to visual novels, so I can't claim to have any great knowledge about the genre, so by that token I only really judged it the same way that I would any other game, but I really didn't expect to love it the way that I did. This is a story filled with both memorable, and absolutely loveable characters - some detestable ones too, but it's also written with a real level of skill and detail that you don't find all too often in video games. I mean really this is the equivalent of not being able to put a book down - so I guess that's actually very high praise now that I think of it. If you wanted to read my much more detailed analysis of it, you can find it at the usual spot here, because posting the whole thing in here would probably make all of your eyes bleed, and you need those for - y'know tackling your backlogs - apparently my thoughts on this game warranted a book length post ? @Liioni - if after finishing 2064: Read Only Memories, you end up coming away from that game wanting more from that universe like I did - then you might get a similar amount of enjoyment from VA-11 Hall-A too. It's very much a part of the same universe, more than I expected to be actually. Plus Lexi, TOMCAT and Jess appear too - so it might give you that warm fuzzy feeling of seeing an old friend, when you get to their cameo scenes. I've already shouted out @gruffiiti in my own checklist thread - but I've gotta say thanks again for letting me know it was on sale - I really appreciate it, and I think even if I'd paid full price then I still probably would have been satisfied, but you saved me a few of those shiny pennies, so thank yeeeee. 13 hours ago, Heather342 said: So I just sail in random directions now looking for the White Whale ?......... Whilst singing along to Bully in the Alley, and all the other Sea Shanties that get stuck in my head! Sorry Heather - I had to correct your post for you ........ ....... It's almost impossible not to get those damned things stuck in your head! Congrats on making the progress with Black Flag though - that's one of my favourite AC titles. Feels weird having a dude with a Welsh accent be the main character in an AC game though right? There's so few welsh characters that I can think of in games. I guess Drippy from Ni no Kuni and Wilbur Weathervane from Book of Unwritten Tales are the only other two I can think of. Anyway I'd better stop rambling - and actually play Mars: War Logs for a little bit. Keep killing it with all the progress updates everyone - they're still as awesome to read as ever! Catch you on the next one I guess! Edited December 3, 2021 by rjkclarke
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Toasty War Journal #12 12/2/21 Yo yo what's up, y'all? Beside myself that it's freakin December already. I shouldn't complain, I mean I knew what it was - I've been aware of how time works for over three decades now - but damn if that shit don't creep up on you! Hitman 2 got me seeing 47 everywhere. I even have it at 47%! I'm loving it, though. Not even done with the original missions yet! Just got some clean up in Hokkaido left, and I'm ready to start tearin up the new destinations! Made a grip of progress with San Andreas as well, although it's makin me wanna dig out my old PS2 and original copy of the game to compare and contrast because I just don't remember the lighting being this bad! There's parts where I can barely make out colors of cars or which people are who, and in moments where it's pretty important no less! It's probably not even me misremembering though, rather the fact that I'm going back and forth between that and the modern, stunningly beautiful Hitman 2, where you can see a watch battery from across the room! That aside, it's been a great time. About halfway through the story, and I still love it. The humor hasn't aged 100% well (the clerk at the clothing store called me honey buns - GET IT?? Cuz he's totally GAY, oh man that's hilarious!), but while I somehow forgot just how juvenile it could get, it hasn't diminished my enjoyment - it's still one of the best games of all time in my eyes. Really need to start makin plans for the bigger hitters like Cities and Tony Hawk, and get back to work on Yakuza and FFIX. Before we know it, we're gonna be down to the wire? 1. Resident Evil 5 (34%) 2. Yakuza 0 (22%) 3. Hitman️ 4. Final Fantasy IX (8%) 5. Cities: Skylines (12%) 6. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 (40%) 7. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (28-->70%) 8. Afterparty️ 9. Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
Update: Due to having possibly the greatest first line supervisor I've ever had, I'm getting a day off since today is my birthday. We had a lot going on, so it got pushed to tomorrow instead; long story short, I've got another long weekend. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> currently at 94% I've got Benhart and Lucatiel's gear. Just need to get through the end of the game and get back to Wellager in NG++. Three measly spells stand between me and the plat. With my skill level and frequent breaks due to frustration, I'm thinking another 10-12 good hours playing (if we don't get sidetracked after I release Navlaan for added shenanigans). So probably two weeks real time. Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - started at 13% --> currently at 78% I've been thinking about it more and maybe the game would feel a little better if the controls granted a little more, and stay with me here, control. I feel like I didn't use the powers as much as I used the weaponry. Except for levitation. FFVII - started at 10% --> currently at 98% I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I'm ITCHING to find out if the guide I found for best bromance specifically worked. I hope it does, it's pretty much the same so I'm hoping it was just me going to fast and making an error I didn't catch. Dark Cloud - started at 0% --> 12NOV2021 Spyro 3 - started at 8% --> 30OCT2021 Call of Cthulhu - started at 22% --> currently at 97% Figured out why I stopped. The Dimensional Shambler was pretty suckish. I really did enjoy it, though. Reminded me of the Solitaires the Chaosium has published. Brought this one back up to the end of the game again at the last save point. Waiting to pop the last ending. Naruto: UNS - started at 10% --> 01NOV2021 Greedfall - started at 14% --> This one is currently downloading. Getting ready to run this gauntlet and hopefully add a couple of URs to my list. I've been meaning to add some rarity to my list, and this seems like a great place to start since it's had my eye for a while. Fernz Gate - started at 1% --> 12NOV2021 Antiquia Lost - started at 0% --> currently at 97% Guide is officially published! Revenant Dogma - started at 0% --> currently at 5% Tried looking up information for the game and found it's in the same state that Antiquia was in. I'll just write down everything down as I go again. I decided to save this one for later this month since I have a 24 hour duty shift. Should help pass the time and it'll be a great time to focus on it. Too many distractions to do it at home and not enough time to really sink into it during lunches and whatnot. Gravity Rush - started at 5% --> currently at 24% Oh man, sliding is fine. But those levels with no powers or limited powers are the WORST. Like, worse than the camera angles. Oof. So I've completed 5/12 games on my list, used 1/5 swaps (because Berserk deserves a milestone slot), and 1/2 games started above 33% (but still below 50%). Two guides published over the course of this challenge. Sitting at 149 plats with a count of 4 plats waiting behind Dark Souls. I'm also going to keep my completion percentage on these so I can track them with the updates, I keep forgetting to write them down: 54.94% completion.
Popular Post GraniteSnake
Update #4: Another stack, this time for the PS Vita. I was fortunate enough to not run into any bugs or glitches with some of the meatier trophies (security gates, billboards etc) so this was a relatively simple platinum to get done a second time. Needlepoint was the only race I had difficulty with, which took numerous tries with the Bugatti Veyron. The game definitely suffers visually on the Vita, especially with regards to oncoming traffic. It's very blurred and difficult to manoeuvre though at times. Still, had a lot of fun revisiting this fantastic racer, and it was nice not having to grind all of those DLC trophies again! -------------------- Added four new games to my list (marked by ** + i), 88 Heroes should be my next completion. I'm planning on making the Uncharted trilogy #224-#226, which will place one of my favourite games of all time at a milestone. Until the next update! Popular Post gruffiiti
Almost bang on 2 weeks since the last update. Most of the focus was on Demon Souls and Sniper Elite 4 but I did also added The Touryst and Stranded Deep to my list as I hope to complete them this month. Its been great to follow along with everyone's progress and hear about all the successes. Demon's Souls Played a lot of this the last few weeks with @Spacey Dweeb. Big shout out to him for the good fun in co-op and especially for taking a couple evenings this past week to help me take out the Maneaters in NG+. Thanks for the patience man while I choked and died so many times against these guys. Hands down the hardest Boss in the game. Anyways I popped the platinum last night and I'm happy to have this one at 100% finally. Sniper Elite 4 Been working on this one ever since I finished up Sniper Elite 3 and it really is a much better game. The levels feel bigger and less linear, and much more detail has been added. I have finished my initial playthrough while grabbing all collectibles and have started on the dlc. I hope to start on the Authentic+ run soon and got my fingers crossed its not too much of a pain in the arse. Goal is to have it done by the end of the month. The Touryst Had my eye on this game for awhile and it seemed like the perfect game to play after a few weeks of Demon Souls. The art-style and light hearted gameplay makes this game shine and as I am getting better and more used to the platforming it is quickly becoming a little gem of a game. I don't expect it will take too long to complete though as I am sitting at roughly 45% (i think that's what the in-game tracker showed anyways) and have only gotten a couple hours into it so far. Completed Games Operation: Tango [PS5] - 100% South Park: The Stick of Truth [PS4] - 100% Yaga [PS4] - 100% Fez [PS4] - 100% Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition [PS4] - 100% Lair of the Clockwork God [PS4] - 100% Goodbye Deponia [PS4] - 100% Deponia Doomsday [PS4] - 100% Shady Part of Me [PS4] - 100% Sniper Elite 3 [PS4] - 100% Demon's Souls [PS5] - 71% --> 100% In Progress Games Assassin's Creed Origins [PS4] - 2% Remnant: From the Ashes [PS4] - 12% Sniper Elite 4 [PS4] - 0% --> 29% The Touryst [PS5] - 0% --> 23% Stranded Deep [PS4] The Wolf Among Us [PS4] Limbo [PS4] Hades [PS5] Until Dawn [PS4] Little Nightmares II [PS4] The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes Games completed (11/22)

If you wanted to read my much more detailed analysis of it, you can find it at the usual spot here, because posting the whole thing in here would probably make all of your eyes bleed, and you need those for - y'know tackling your backlogs - apparently my thoughts on this game warranted a book length post @Liioni - if after finishing 2064: Read Only Memories, you end up coming away from that game wanting more from that universe like I did - then you might get a similar amount of enjoyment from VA-11 Hall-A too. No worries mate. I like to hold onto my pennies as much as the next guy and us gamers are always looking for a deal. Glad it worked out for you and Im happy to hear the review was good as I picked it up too to play sometime this month. P.S. I sent you a FR on PSN for fun but don't feel you need to accept. I played it loads back in my Xbox 360 days, then last year I found it on the PlayStation store so I picked it up again ?. It's a shame the PlayStation version didn't include the Plague Lord DLC, it added a lot of challenge after completing the base game. The only really annoying trophy is the forging a god like weapon, it's super RNG reliant if you get it or not. I hope you have fun with it though ? My favourite thing in the game, when all the gems line up perfectly and then the game says -"That was a heroic effort!". ?

Popular Post Psy-Tychist
I can update this sometimes. Assassin's Creed: Origins - 100% Mine my Mind - 96% --> 100% Lone Survivor - 100% Fez - 28% Word Search by POWGI - 26% Gravel - 30% Dissection - 11% White Night - 12% --> 90% True Fear: Forsaken Souls - 94% --> 100% I Finally completed the last of Mine My Mind and have removed it from my memory. White Night has gone much better than expected after getting stuck on it for so long. The only issue I have now, is to complete the game at a certain time of night in one sitting. That is always difficult with kids and a partner. I might get a couple hours free sometime. I have also completed 13 other games since September with 0% completion. I really should do what I set myself sometimes...
Popular Post KimBongUn420
Update #9 - short one this time. One new completion and have some changes to the list: Progress Updates LA Noire - finally finished this one off. I'd forgotten how abrupt the ending is; it's the biggest weak point of the game to me. Speaking of other things that didn't age well, this game was made in the gilded age of Collectible Hell that was the early 2010s and there are just too damn many of them lol. Glad the industry as a whole has shifted away from that garbage. 428 - completed one more time block; hoping to have this one done by end of the year. List Changes Using my second swap to replace Fallout 4 with Guardians of the Galaxy. I realized that I was putting off FO4 because I truly didn't want to keep playing it right now, so I'm putting it out of its misery and swapping it out. Maybe if I get motivated early next year I'll put it back in. Really excited to play GOTG, especially with all of the positive reviews it's received! Added Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, a game I started several years ago and never finished. Playing it again makes me realize why I put it down lol. It has potential but the awful dialog, weak story and buggy gameplay (this game crashes more than Nikita Mazepin) add up to a very underwhelming experience. I made some progress this week, getting into Act 3, and hopefully will be able to finish it off quickly. Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
Update: Didn't think I was going to be updating this soon, but I made a lot of progress. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> 03DEC2021 Released Navlaan during NG+, but he never showed up. That was a bit disappointing. DSII was one heck of a ride. I'm glad it's done and I'm looking forward to DSIII eventually. Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - started at 13% --> 04DEC2021 --> 100% 7 hours later That collectathon was brutal. I thought the crossover DLC was pretty neat. It made the abilities useful. Glad this one is over, though. FFVII - started at 10% --> 03DEC2021 It WORKED! That's another one down. Never played this one back in the day, but I'm glad I finally got to. Dark Cloud - started at 0% --> 12NOV2021 Spyro 3 - started at 8% --> 30OCT2021 Call of Cthulhu - started at 22% --> 03DEC2021 Last ending was kind of neat. Wish there was a little more, would have been great to get an extension or an extra chapter for foiling the cult. Naruto: UNS - started at 10% --> 01NOV2021 Greedfall - started at 14% --> currently at 17% Lots of running, following the guide Fernz Gate - started at 1% --> 12NOV2021 Antiquia Lost - started at 0% --> 03DEC2021 Finally made an honest author out of me, the plat is popped and I can finally move on with my life. Revenant Dogma - started at 0% --> currently at 5% Going to do this one on 26DEC. Gravity Rush - started at 5% --> currently at 24% This is my break time game, probably not a lot of progress to be made on this one with the holidays coming up. Short work days, long weekends, and more fulfilling games to play at home. So I've completed 10/13 games on my list, used 1/5 swaps (because Berserk deserves a milestone slot), and 1/2 games started above 33% (but still below 50%). Two guides published over the course of this challenge. 55.07% completion, starting to get better. I've had Multiplatform, Vita, and PS4 games on the list so far, so I figured I'd add Moss for VR (even though it's technically multiplatform, it's nice to represent), Skyrim for PS3 (I thought about doing it for all of these, but decided to spare you all that), and Hades for PS5 so I don't fall into the trap of buying games and not playing them again. Trying to be better than that this time around. That'll bring me to a total of 16. I'm estimating a total of 275ish hours with an average of being able to play maybe 28 hours on a typical week between work and DnD on Saturdays. I'm thinking this will take me about two months since some of these are a little intensive without some luck. I might be pushing it, but I'm determined.
