It has been long since my last update because I did not really had much time to play but slowly catching up. First I completed maquette (which was not in my list at the beginning) as It was in my backlog and it was a fast easy plat. It took me longer than expected but got it. I can't really say I enjoyed it but it was ok. After that I got to Late shift this one also was not on my list. I like choise based games and enjoyed while playing it. Was a short and good game. And today I completed Spiderman Miles Morales. It was a good game and a great experience. Feeling the power of ps5 and dualsense was great. I don't think the game was repetitive, I didn't got bored while going for %100. I didn't decided yet which game is next but I think it will be bugsnax or another short game that I will enjoy.

Not ready to call it quits yet but I'm definitely running out of steam. Not going to worry about it for this week, and then I'll see what I feel like tackling in February.

Mugen Souls Z [PS3] => Far Cry 4 [PS4]

 

 

Farming Sim 14: Time flew by fast while playing (and grinding in) this game. I did have 100-150 miles left to drive after everything else was done. That was kind of boring. Since I already played FS 15, I guess my next game will have to be FS 16 (which is also on the Vita) when I decide to play one of these games again.

 

LEGO Dimensions: Yep, no more freezes till the end. I managed to get into the top 50 fastest achievers too. That's a bonus I guess. I think this is one of the better LEGO games, funny,  lots of content, but unfortunately quite expensive.

 

Far Cry 4: To me, this is one of those games where you can easily get sidetracked and not make much progress in the story. It's exactly what's happening but that's the fun of it. The only thing I don't like is the driving/flying. From what I know of Far Cry games, it's crap in all of them.

 

 

I don't think I have to outline my weekly plans anymore. I'm just going to be playing Far Cry 4.

Hi everyone, 

 

Here's an update from me. I completed 2 games this week, starting with Job Simulator. I enjoyed this game because it has good humor and I actually forgot how fun VR is! On the negative side is that the game is very short. It could have used some more content, especially for the price. 

 

I also got the platinum and 100% in Dirt 5. The game is okay, I didn't think it did anything special and after a while it gets pretty repetitive. Only the dlc had a few levels that were a bit more difficult and fun because of it. I was happy to finish it today. 

 

I started Ghost Giant on VR, it's a cute little puzzle game so far and I will probably complete it this week. Other then that I think I will start the Forgotten City this week and will try to complete it also this week.

Made a huge amount of progress on Monster Hunter World: Iceborne lately. Up from 45% to 78%. I "only" have to finish research on one monster for the research trophy, hit MR200, and finish up the crowns (currently at 30/56). The reason I say "only" as anyone who has played the games will know crown hunting is no small feat. I'm hoping RNGezus is on my side though and I should have this platinum in the not too distant future. I also made a small start on The Riftbreaker. It will be my go to game when I need a break from the crowns.

It's been a while since I've provided an update.  Lesson I've learned when it comes to this event... Just put my entire backlog on the list, lol.  I've been working on random games in my backlog that weren't on the list.  I am going to add them to the list if I've had the game before the start of the event (Mass Effect Andromeda/God of War Vita, but not Ghosts of Tsushima DC).  

 

During this last couple of weeks, I managed to plat Mass Effect 2 on PS3.  Hands down, my favorite game of all time.  The suicide mission was just amazing to play the first time.  Having done this in the Legendary Edition, I had a much better approach to insanity and made it through with relative ease.  The bigger news is that I managed to plat Mass Effect 3 on PS3 as well.  I did this in the fastest time according to PSNP tracking.  Mainly because of Covid isolation gave me 10+ hours a day to play.  Either way, happy to have the trilogy done for both PS3 and PS4 (and on x360 for that matter).  Got me so close to finishing all of the Mass Effect plats that I've started Andromeda.  

 

Progress will be a bit slow as I am simultaneously working on Andromeda and Ghost of Tsushima while chipping away at God of War 2 on Vita while at work.  I'm about 50 hours into Ghosts having put in 30+ on legends mode.  As a non-multiplayer trophy kind of guy, so far, I've enjoyed the legends mode a bit more than the main campaign. Just a lot more action.  Not saying that the campaign is bad, just a bit slower.  Thus I'm playing about 30-45 minutes of Ghosts a night and leaning more into Andromeda.

 

Been a great couple months of gaming for me.  Hope it continues throughout the year.  Going to have to sit down are really read into some of your progress.  A lot of great gaming going on in this thread.  Keep at it, 2 more months to go!

Yo!

Today we got #27 done, Asterix & Obelix, making it our third plat in the A&O franchise.

Some levels hurt me physically, what with the straining of the jaw in harder sections and intense staring on the screen to find my little-wee-lad-Asterix in the mix of enemies.

This one is a sidescrolling beat-em-up, don't have many of those in the log so it is always nice to complete a new niche! 

I have decided to keep Legend of Kay for last. It's the one that has been in my backlog the longest and deserves to be the last completion of this event! Or in other words, I'm intimidated by it.

What's good, y'all?

 

Little late this time around, my bad. So I must confess to hitting a wall with Res 5 - I'm down to only the highest difficulty playthroughs and multiplayer, and there's just too much challenge-approved stuff I'd rather be playing right now!

 

Hitman 3 is absurdly good. I usually try to complete each destination before moving on to the next, but the story has me extremely tempted to nix that tradition and finish the story first! I have no clue how they topped Hitman 2, I really don't. I don't know if my little heart could handle a Hitman 4😄

 

The Forgotten City is as fantastic as advertised. Not going too crazy with it just yet, but once my first playthrough is done I expect it to take over for a little bit and completion to be pretty swift. This game has that great quality where you really wanna swear off guides, because the experience is so gripping that you don't want to spoil or shorten it at all.

 

So the plan is to try and wrap up these two stupendous games in the next week, and then get back into Res 5 refreshed. Then Sleeping Dogs, two more light and quick games, and that's it - open smesame!

 

Also I'm getting rid of Hitman 2 Expansion here - it's the same game, and now that it's done I feel silly including that! It reflects the my challenge list more accurately too, as it's 18 games, not 19!

 

Lots of peeps look like you'll be finished early, mad props! Everybody's doing a great job, with both progress and posting awesome updates. Hopefully I'll kick off February strong, because I know y'all will😎

A good week for gaming updates. I've managed to play some of all my remaining games 😊. 

 

Crash Team Racing - I'm still chipping away at the time trials to beat Oxide's ghost. Some of these are pretty tough, Dragon Mines is looking particularly like it's gonna be a difficult one. So far I've done 11 of 31 tracks, soon to be 12, as I was practicing on my lunch break today and I almost had Meteor Gorge done but I made a mistake on the final lap and missed out by 0.36 seconds 😣. 

 

Two Point Hospital - went back to the Close Encounters DLC. The Chasm 24 hospital is such a cleverly designed level and is a lot of fun to play. I managed to unlock 1 new trophy here for activating all the Robo Janitors. Unfortunately disaster struck on the Camouflage Falls level and my hospital went bankrupt 😭. I don't even know how it happened, one minute I was doing great, had loads of money, and just as I was closing in on the 2 star objective it all fell apart. A bit disappointed that I'll need to re-do that level from the beginning, as it takes a lot of time to build up and get a profitable hospital, and sadly my last save was right as things started going wrong 😅

 

Ratchet and Clank - this game is a lot of fun 😊 I'm just working my way through the story and any secondary objectives for now. Once that piece is done then I'll focus on the collectables and levelling up the weapons as much as I can before starting Challenge Mode. Also, Mr. Zurkon is the greatest thing in this game 😂

Nice. Im also working on this one. Finished my first playthrough with all collectibles done. Need to start challenge mode now and hit every bloody enemy I see with the disco ball. At least it makes me laugh seeing them all dancing like idiots while I destroy them. 😂

Yeah, I do want that Death by Disco trophy to be the last one before the plat. Hopefully will have a good plat screenshot and video capture 😂

Finished up both Spiritfarer and Operation: Tango, both were a blast!! Spiritfarer got to be a bit tiring at the end but I enjoyed it. Operation: Tango was just pure enjoyment. @TalesofGaming and I both started with the character we ended up being best with, and I really enjoyed the levels. They felt a lot like just a string of escape rooms, with some 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes' vibes at the end for the bomb.

 

I've started working on the Phoenix Wright trilogy, but haven't decided yet if I want to add it to the list.

After spending over 200 hours in Nioh, I just spent another 200 hours in Nioh 2. Fuck this game. That's all I got to say. Should be to able to squeeze at least one more game before the event is over.

So it's been a super busy January for me, but I've still made some progress. 

I got one more trophy done in Superhot and I just have the challenges left, I'm trying to get through them by doing a couple a day atm and I've got 100% in 5 different categories so I'm getting there.

I done Vampyr this month also and it was ok, it crashed so many times it got super annoying and this one guy was dead from the very start and I didn't realise that random dead guy had a collectable so I then had to replay the whole game to get one missed collectable from a guy who had never been there, like if I had messed up and killed him/not given him medicine it wouldn't have been as bad but he was just never there?? The story and the combat were alright but the crashes and the thing with the collectables made it a bit meh for me in the end.

Hi guys. Hope you've had a good week. I had not played any games during the week as work was super involved and draining. I do have a week of annual leave and I plan to get the most of out that including some heavy gaming sessions. This week I have focused on Persona 5 to the ending and restarted Muv Luv (old vita meant the save failed and I had to go through the first 5 1/2 chapters to get where I was previously so no trophies earned unfortunately).

FINAL UPDATE [Part 1/2]: Hello there guys. A long, long time since I posted here. Mostly by hesitation, mainly to so convoluted stuff that happened me IRL and other drama things completely outside the matters of this ecosystem. Last post since Dec 6th, but many great things happened in gaming in the run. Since I had a great winter break, I managed to pull out several games that were resting in the list here and make me proud that I close the year in the most appropriate way possible. Also, started an outstanding this 2022 and still looking forward to new milestones and experiences along the way. Besides, this will be the first part of my updates, since my time to write them down and think about what I want to share is shrink again due to my work time and less time to spend in leisure stuff along. Let's start with both the social deduction games from the list. Among Us was the first to be finished. The game, as we know, is fun due to its silly and somewhat intriguing nature. Had a few friend to play it first to understand the mechanics, and thankfully I managed to clog out many of the most RNG trophies out of the way. There are 2 of them that are quite grindy, but again, the community quickly pointed out the best method to finished them out right away. A full day of repetition for tasks and kills make it one out of the list really quick. Trying to do it legit can be borderline impossible, as people don't care about it straight away, so the only way to this is or boosting it by yourself with as many devices you can have or looking for people willing to help too. Like the game, because one of the things that makes life less struggling are memes, and this one brought ones of the best out there. On the other hand, we have First Class Trouble. A well-defined "rip-off" of the former; this one was rather weird, due to the fact that I found a well-intentioned group of guys boosting it, as the RNG in here is way higher than the little astronauts game. It'll take less time to finish, but the fact that there is one specific trophy where you must be incredibly lucky to manage to get it, take the toll but in the end was rewarding and the first Platinum to crawl into the 2022's numbers. Also, had a good time playing this one, the guys were wholesome and had many laughs along the way. 

 

Following that, Mrs. Pac-Man was a quick game, just to cooldown a bit of the grind and allow me a boost in trophies too. However, don't be deceived, as even you can use the pen drive exploit the game is what you could expect from a game of almost 40 years. It has pikes of difficulty that even a good strategy can plow it so quick. So you must think where your movements are going, so then you can successfully progress. A classic that you should try anyway, as compared to the normal Pac-Man this has a better graphics and is a good addition to your list. Next, we have the bahamut that Insomniac created thanks to its collaboration with Marvel: Miles Morales. This needs no introduction. Played mostly because the game is settled in a Christmas themed atmosphere, plus the fact that No Way Home was recently released, this game was incredibly fitting to the moment, so I take the risk and go through it. While the game is shorter than the Spider-Man OG, this felt yet unique in its terms and certainly grounded the next iteration in the series. The pain of the main character and his story really impacted me and liked the well development he presents through the game. Due to the fact you have a smaller gadget resource to combat huge waves to enemies, the mechanics from I was really used from the first title weren't so useful in this one, and trying to rank up the combos sometimes feel quite hard as enemies were a little overpowered, even playing on the second difficulty. However, as a Marvel fan myself, this was a "must play", mostly because this series is basically the reason behind me being here as it was the catalyst and the definitive reason to pick up PS4 vs any other platform. 

 

I have more progress into other 2 games, while GT Sport still rests in the limbo, as I don't feel confident enough to take the unsurmountable level of grind that it requires. I think it is a matter of time more than skill than beat this monster too; in the meantime, the others can help me to relief a bit. Really want to share my experience so far with them, while I posted few thoughts of it in my main page. Still playing when available, and hope to finally got another completion for the collection. Congratulations to everybody who has stick to the challenge, respect for your consistency and continual input of inspiration to push us to reduce our always increasing backlog!
