How do you play this game?

I see that other users are getting trophies, but how do you play this game?

I created a character (two, actually) without any problem, but I can't actually attack anything (the game just stutters and interrupts the attack animation endlessly). If I skip the tutorial, I can't hand in the first quest because the game stutters the dialog box infinitely and just closes it.

Is there something really obvious I am missing? Is it secretly IP blocked or something? Do I just need to reinstall it?

Today they released an update for Eternal PS4 & PS5

(version 1.03)

Changelog: Bug fixes

Still stucking in the tutorial like you already described.

I also tried to change the system language to japanese (maybe because of the calibrate the letters or something) but the issue with dialog box still closing instantly.

There is also no way around to skip the tutorial, so it seems like to wait for another patch.

Currently only available in the JP region, but a global version rollout was recently announced, which will include PS5/PS4. I'm on track to complete the trophies for this game, so write an overview.

First, This title is developed for mobile, and I must say this is inferior when compared to its PC or console counterparts. I found the game's atmosphere and graphics to be old-fashioned, similar to the FF11 generation of yesteryear. The title image and opening video use characters originally designed by Mr. Amano, they don't appear in the game. There is no need to pick this up except for some Free to Play game enthusiasts.

The PS4 version does not have trophies, but saves and progress for this game are stored online and can be accessed from either PS4 or PS5. After earning an in-game achievement that corresponds to a trophy, the trophy will be unlocked the next time you login from PS5. Therefore, it may be possible to login on PS5 after having made sufficient progress in the game on PS4 to achieve the fastest completion. Since the game is isolated from non-PlayStation (Mobile and PC) servers, it is not possible to link those accounts.

The two main points of trophy completion are simply to reach character level 50 and to reach 10000 character power.

Reach character level 50
The game features conditioned action macros, and character leveling is primarily carried out by AFK using these macros. There is some EXP from boosting dungeons that can be entered several times a day and campaign quest rewards, but as a percentage of the total, it is tiny. The weapon in your hand deteriorates with each attack and loses its attack power after a few dozen minutes of hunting. Your armor will also be destroyed if the amount of damage you take from monsters exceeds a certain number. Since equipment repair is not automatic, the basic strategy is to level up by hunting down lower-ranked enemies that can be sufficiently eliminated without weapons and that take less damage. You will probably need 500+ hours to reach level 50, although much can be done by AFK.

There will be no attenuation in the amount of experience and drop items per person, even if you are in a party. The more friends you have playing together, the more hunting options you will have.

Reach character power 10000
The number of 10000 is not that demanding. If you intend to continue AFK leveling in exchange for a huge amount of time until character level 60, you will hardly need to strengthen your equipment.

Equipment in the game comes in four rarities: Epic, Rare, Magic, and Common. A character can equip up to 13 x 5 = 65 pieces of equipment at the same time. You can earn a combo bonus by simply equipping at least 10 of these items with anything about Magic and Common equipment. The rarities up to Magic can be obtained naturally as campaign rewards, which guarantees a certain amount of power gain.

Equipment obtained through normal campaign progression is very weak and requires an enormous amount of work before equipment can be produced. You should not consider making your own equipment unless you are willing to become a tradesman. Equipment with a rarity of Rare or higher is randomly dropped by instance dungeon monsters.

A quick way to strengthen your character is to buy equipment that is listed on the market by top players. The number of equipment listings varies greatly depending on the popularity of the character Job, with gunners currently being the most popular. Equipment of any level above your character level can be worn, but its performance will be adjusted downward to match your character level. It is recommended to buy all Epic rarity equipment at level 60 (yellow name, NOT red name). Accessories are not cost-effective, so it is recommended to start with helmets, upper and lower armor, baskets, and weapons. Anything below Rare rarity is not worth reinforcing.

There are various items needed to strengthen your equipment, but the game delivers items daily through login bonuses. You can receive various items by logging in once a day or once every 12 hours, and if your target power is around 10000, those rewards will be enough to cover your needs. Since the items are distributed per character, it is possible to create 5 characters on one account and consolidate the items received.

Another way to power-up is the Arclore. This is like a spirit to be used and is a root box element. The power increase is small compared to equipment, but just having it enhances your character's power. Although the number of Arklore rootboxes that can be purchased per day is limited to 30, the enhancements are gradual and unlimited.

Money management
Cloth materials, which can be produced from the very beginning, are in unlimited demand to improve character performance. Since the number of fabrics a character can produce in a day is limited, you can earn a steady income by producing fabrics with multiple characters and selling them. In addition, you can earn some money in the treasury dungeon, which you can enter once a day.

Welcome Campaign
The game frequently holds newcomer welcome parties to attract new players. Depending on when you start, you may receive a set of equipment from the beginning, but you will only have one chance per account to receive it.

DLC Content
If you play on a non-JP PSN account you cannot purchase DLC content, but most of them are either unnecessary or just cosmetic, which is perfectly fine in currently. I didn't use them at all. There are 100 Arclore rootboxes distributed each month as PS Plus membership for the JP region, but they are not that much of an advantage since they are only good for about 3 days of dailies.

Which enemies would you recommend to grind, and where are they located?
