Why do YOU gotta be so judgey?

Especially since you loved "Little Adventure on the Prairie" that much, that you played it twice...

I’m not the one being an elitist and claiming i am “enlightening” myself by the games I play. Adventure on the prairie was a wonderful game that I thoroughly enjoyed.

AJ_Radio wasn't making fun of your profile so I don't see why you suddenly had to have a go at his.

I'm just saying you don't need to throw stones while in glass houses.

Even if you included cheaters and banned players, PSNP still doesn't come anywhere close to the numbers on PSN. In hindsight, trophies were, and will always be something a small minority of players partake in.

I go by the old saying. "90 percent of everything is crap". Profiles, users, statistics, it doesn't matter. Most of everything is shit. That's why I take pride in being one of the few. When the dumbass masses out there buy the same generic Call of Duty and Madden over and over and over, I prefer to enlighten myself with some more obscure material.

The internet was better off when it was just a bunch of computer geeks and nerds. At least PSNP is a sort of safe haven from all the bullshit surrounding the big websites. Even if the statistics ultimately mean nothing, which is true in more ways than one.

In short, I will repeat myself. If you guys are feeling miserable stacking these games, then just stop. You will never reach the top of the leaderboards, as that is entirely a measure of how big your wallet and how much are you willing to throw it away.

I agree with most things you said, but I gotta ask what’s wrong with CoD?
Yes it’s a yearly series, but objectively the games are mostly good.

Slik Smooth 60fps, decent campaigns, zombie modes are a lot of fun too.

Yes I prefer area shooters overall(more skill based IMO) but CoD is a quality series.

It just has some poor practices at times.

I can tell the reason why I would never buy ZJ the ball:

* It's pure shovelware crap that shouldn't be on the PSStore;

* It has an exploitative nature, and tries to cash in on the addicts;

* In the mean time devalueing the trophy system as a whole, which is also 1 of the repeated arguments for a rarity leaderboard, among obviously other arguments;

* It isn't worth to make my list look like trash to just add another 'plat' to my count, especially since current leaderboard is stupid anyway;

* I definently will not have fun with the game whatsoever, in my believe  the enjoyment of a game needs to go first;

* The idea that this helps this dev that just recycle's his old games for some quick greedy ass bucks, while other devs are kinda suffering to get somewhere;

* Not even speaking of the idea that I indirectly support religion. While I think it is kinda crap;

Out of all these ezpz plats the worst thing in general you can do through my believes is supporting this!

Instead of buying this crap why not buy some other easy and relatively short games, it's not like everyone that played ZJ the ball has completed all of these?

Just to name a few:

* My name is mayo 1&2;

* Donut Country;

* Reverie;

* Lara croft GO

* Hitman GO;

* Trigger witch;

* All the artifex mundi point and click games;

* Demetrios and all other COWCAT games;

* All FMV games that recently got released;

* Or the hybrid games like the shapeshifter;

* All telltale games (though these are a bit longer);

Hell if you also like reading, why not read trough some good VN's.

These will give you longer enjoyment, helps actual good devs and get you a bigger shot of dopamine as you actually work to get something and deserve it.

I've never yet witnessed any member insulting another.

Or perhaps the bar for whatever is called an insult has been lowered, or maybe those posts were already deleted and I never saw them.

It's true I do believe playing easy games to trophies is stupid, however just writing that down as a comment/opinion or statement does not mean I am attacking anybody.

I genuinely want to steer people away from this sort of behaviour since people playing regular or hard games does not have the addictive gambling like qualities that playing shit and easy games can have.

Besides, improving the standards and the integrity of the games industry as a whole, why wouldn't that be something to get behind? Even if it is just a bunch of dudes moaning on an Internet forum somewhere and in reality changing absolutely nothing.

But yeah in future if you lock a topic, or delete someone's posts you probably should write what went wrong unless it was completely obvious, how is someone supposed to know they have done something wrong is they don't know about it?

Entirely accurate. Comments get deleted all the time on here, even when they are not targeting anyone specifically. I suppose when you have moderators, they are ultimately picking and choosing what is offensive based on personal opinion. However, I think the censorship on here is only getting worse, considering how low the ceiling is for what is offensive. We can barely have a discussion on opposing opinions before they come in deleting shit.

As for these games, I completely agree. Garbage that shouldn't be supported or played. Am I allowed to say garbage on here?

what I don’t get is that he craps on COD and Madden (legitimate gameplay) as a waste of time but then credits himself for going through a colossal waste of time of doing the exact same level over and over for 40 hours of dreadful gaming in Max Payne 3 to reach a certain rank.

No irony there ?

To each their own, but judging playing mainstream games as a waste of time when going through a monotonous grind for a virtual trophy is a bit rich, that’s all…

Guys ehm, can we be more accurate and stop this type of threads? I mean at the end of the day it doesn't matter anyway if people want to play easy 1 dollar games for a platinum trophy, just to rack up numbers, it's not our problem sorry :/

If you want to play these 1 dollar easy games, do what you want. I don't need these games, everyone has their preference. Some people hate sports games. others love them. Some say Cod or other shooter games are the best on the market, others despite them and don't like it, you can't change them.

Do as you wish, some people want a challenge, some people want a high platinum count.

Just be careful not to stop enjoying games and get an addiction for virtual numbers.

That's all enjoy your day.

What a miserable outlook to drag through life ?

Most of everything is shit?

Cheer up man, for goodness sake!

We live in a golden age of videogames!

There is more choice, more budget, more indie, more esoteria, more genres, more passion, more variety, more cross-genre straddling, more cross-generational appeal, more cross-sectional service, more sales, more content, and just more games than ever before!

There is more great stuff coming out every year than any one gamer could play in a lifetime!

This is a glorious time to be playing videogames - and if you can't see that, you aren't looking hard enough, my friend.

That saying remains true in a lot of aspects.

I'm an old time movie buff. The Godfather (1972) is probably one of my favorite films of all time, and I consider Marlon Brando in hindsight to have been a magnificent actor. For every masterpiece like The Godfather, there are countless movies that are forgettable and simply best left forgotten. As someone who loves history, I know that the 1970s was full of horrible porn movies and horrendously awful films that made even average flicks look good. Cartoons hit a low point in the 1970s, most of them were neither funny nor redeemable in any aspect. Some of the worst cartoons were not from the 2000s/2010s, but from the 70s. There was plenty of bad shit back then.

Jump ahead a decade. You already know about the 1983 video game crash, signaled by the infamously bad ET and Atari dumping their cartridges in landfills. Super Mario Bros in late 1985 makes history and puts Japan on the map in the video game industry. While that was exceptionally good, there were a whole bunch of copycat platformers that tried to be like Mario, but outright failed in their execution. The 80s and early 90s had a ton of bad platformers, that was the time when platformers were perhaps at their most popular. The NES had a lot of gems; Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros, Mike Tyson's Punchout, etc etc etc. But I would be stupid to not admit that there were a lot of awful, broken, insanely difficult, forgettable titles on the NES.

So, is having more choice necessarily a good thing? Crap will never cease to exist. I see more shit YouTube channels and shit YouTubers than I ever did in the past, because YouTube is more accessible than ever before. I occasionally find somebody who is really good, somebody on Twitch or YouTube who is really entertaining to listen to in their livestreams. But I have also come across many guys on terrible livestreams who just sit there with a webcam in a corner and either say nothing, or be completely monotone. They aren't entertaining to their audience.

The passion lies with indie developers who have more room to make passion projects. Giant corporations like Ubisoft do things by the numbers, as Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs is indicative of.

We have more choice, sure. I've held subscriptions for Netflix and Amazon Prime for years, saw movies and shows that I probably never would of seen otherwise. But there's a lot that is bad, and my saying that "90 percent of everything is shit", or "Most of everything is shit", those statements actually start to hold some water.

I look at TikTok and see stupid kids doing those stupid challenges. I will definitely buy the "90 percent" line.

Does this make sense?

What exactly is being a dumbass got to do with buying CoD and Madden? If people enjoy a franchise, then they will buy the sequels. You bought every Assassin's Creed and even stacked them, played through Odyssey even to the detriment of your own enjoyment citing how by the numbers and bloated it is. Pretty sure I'll see you playing Valhalla in the near future too.

Oh yes it's Thursday today, so only 2-3 more days before the inevitable

"Oh Dear (Level 3)"

topic appears then.

I wonder if CJ is actually in the forest picking flowers for his mom this time, as the story on (Level 1) mentions this and actually hasn't happened yet.
