Most underwhelming Platinum in the Yakuza series?

10 posts in this topic

For starters, the game is awesome. So far (chapter 4), its what I expected from a Yakuza game. New battle system is also fun.

But looking at the trophies, i´m disappointed. No "100%", "complete all substories" or even "play all minigames" trophies.

For me, this was always a staple in the series. Without doing (almost) everything, how can you call yourself the Dragon?

I mean, I fricking learned how to play Mahjong, i want a trophy specifically for this! xD

Judgement did it right, lets hope the upcoming Judgement Vol. 2 electric boogaloo will make Yakuza great again (trophy-wise). Like i said, so far the game´s a blast.

Yakuza 6 is no different.

Same with Yakuza 4 which is arguably the easiest of the bunch in the series.

Yakuza 3 and dead souls also don't require 100% although they're tougher in other regards

Please don't mention Dead Souls.

It still pains me to think that there will be no PS4 HD update of that game, always me feel sad thinking about it.

I was sad that there was no trophy for finishing all sub-stories, and getting the best weapons for every character (though without their full level-ups) should have been in place, but honestly, I'm glad they spared us some pain in this game. I can't imagine walking by the same places in the city, over and over, hoping to spur a conversation between my party members in hopes of...filling a list of statements from party members.

What gripes me more are the lousy rewards that the game offers for finishing up side missions. Most of them reward extra boosts in personality stats, which you've likely already finished long before you get through the side mission.

Not really any issues from my perspective. Still felt like I did pretty much everything the game had to offer by doing the plat. Looking forward to platting the PS4 version at some point to go with the PS5 version

You'll most likely be spending most of your time grinding levels in the Sewers to prepare for the Final Millennium Tower challenge... Glad there wasn't a Mahjong trophy, or I'd be in trouble 😆
