Import Character

I thought I would ask before buying(sale for 4 bucks right now), tried to search for info. How does the character import work on this? I played Dead Island Definitive through PS Now so I can't start that game again but I do have my saves in the cloud. Does Riptide import from the game servers, game saves on system, or do they have to be uploaded from the original game first?

yes you can import your char from DI: Definitive.

I am really not sure but i cant imagine, that char import does work only from cloud. I guess it is only possible from local saved game file.

Thanks! I bought the game since it was super cheap, but haven't tested it yet...will update here once I do.

 

The import comes from the DI save file, but luckily you don't need the game installed to upload the files. You just need the save files on the unit.
