[FIXED] Can't download/renew any PS Plus redeemed titles. (C0-9250-6) Error.

Contacted support and got the same useless response as others. Pushed the agents I was talking to and he supposedly escalated the issue to specialist who will get back to me in 1-2 days (doubt that'll happen.) I'm in Canada.

I had funds in my wallet and bought 1 month of plus straight from the vita store and it didn't make a difference, as others have said. I then bought a code online, redeemed on my vita, and it updated my downloads list (which didn't happen previously,) but I'm still getting the error. Have tried downloading from both my list and the storefront.

I doubt this gets fixed until it hits some sort of media. Right the only "help" we have is from first-line support who is basically reading a script, and more than likely whatever useless manager is on hand telling them to do nothing.

One of the plus games I want to download is no longer available on the storefront, only through my download list (PvZ).

It should still work mentioning what you should follow from me or Roronoa_666. Download list works as soon as you enter the 1 month code voucher on the psn vita store.

Yeah, I did a chat with Sony, gave the all the info from this thread and they told me basically that it need to be escalated and they wouldn't do the adding one day membership. I told them I am dead in the water. I cannot download any games to my ps3 or vita and transfer even purchased titles. I will get this error message and will also get (80029780) PS3. I tried even downloading one of my games I purchased like Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment and tried to transfer it to my vita and got the (C0-9250-6) error message. So there is something going on and I just renewed my plus membership yearly back in Sept. Also I tweeted Spawn Wave and Yong Yea and Rich from Review Tech. Hopefully they will see this and pick it up and run with it.

Hello,

I have just spoken to a person on live chat in the UK and she had confirmed that this was an issue that was currently being investigated and my case would be escalated. (Whether this is actually happening or not would be anyones guess)

EDIT: I did screenshot the live chat conversation but I think the photos are too big. If you guys want me to post it, just let me know and I will do it.

Anybody have any updates? I've been deactivating/reactivating my system and trying to download a game daily with no luck. I'm in South Africa and having some trouble finding a 1 month or even a 3 month voucher to try the Vita Plus voucher redeem method. I've only been able to find a 12 month voucher which I will do as a last resort as it doesn't fit into my budget right now, also weary of spending the money on a 12 month code and then it doesn't work anyway as some users have reported.

Yeah I'm too anxious to even try any digital content... my PS3 has been my daily driver for the past year or so, been sticking to physical games since this issue reared its ugly head. I think if my PS3 starts kicking up errors I won't be able to sleep so ignorance is bliss haha

Hey all,

Chiming back in just to say that redeeming a subscription definitely isn't a failsafe option. I tried that in my Vita  (I'm in Canada) and I'm still having the same errors pop up. So before anyone else wastes money, it doesn't appear this is working for everyone.

Unless I've missed a step somewhere, but I've tried deleting and reinstalling games to no avail. I either get the C0 error telling me to re-download, or I get the NP-9978-3 error in the store. The games always have a wonky expiry date though. I was really hoping redeeming a voucher on the Vita would solve it, but no luck for me.

Hey all

Just to add another data point, I have the same problems as REDterror1938:

- redeeming a subscription directly from the Vita didn't work (tried twice, I'm in France, PS Vita on OFW  3.73)

- deactivating /  reactivating the system didn't help

Upon contacting support through email (I couldn't find a chatbot or phone number on the French website), they told me to restore my system (spoilers: I shouldn't have):

- I now get the NP-9978-3 error on all contents (PS+ and bought games)

- I can somehow spam the download button to add PS+ games to the download queue (but end up with the C0-9250-6 error anyway)  but had no such luck for bought games, free themes, etc. I'm completely locked out of them.

- For some Minis (bought, not PS+) that I used as test when spamming the download button, I'm now also locked out when trying to download them on my PS3 (error code: 80029780).

- And of course, the restore removed the licence files for my PSM games and I can't activate my system for them anymore as they shut down the PSM licence server years ago.

The only thing I can do is load and play the games (PS+ and bought ones) that were on my memory card and saved in the pre-restore backup... In short, absolutely don't restore the system if supports tell you to do so, it solves nothing and gives you new problems.

[Update] Was contacted by PS support to provide screenshot with the error codes, tried reproducing the problem and discovered to my great joy (like the other users) that the problem has been fixed for me.

Hey all,

I also have the issue where all  my PS plus games no longer work on my Vita. I'm getting the C0-9250-6 error. When I delete a game and then try to download it from the store, the download fails.  I can download the game on my PS3, but then the transfer to the Vita fails.

I've had contact with Playstation support Belgium, but they're not going to do anything about it. Even worse, they accused me that error C0-9250-6 is caused by illegal usage of PSN, either by hacking, cheating, using illegal vouchers or having an unapproved firmware on my console. They pointed me towards the terms of service and made it clear this is their final answer. No help at all.

It's appalling how bad Playstation's customer support has gotten. Even saw a thread over on Reddit a few days ago of a customer service rep incorrectly informing someone that if you let your PS+ lapse at any point and reactivate it at a later date, you'll never have access to your PS+ redeemed titles on your previous subscription any more.

I bet the rep you spoke to just Googled the code you gave them and found it came up with a bunch of results for CFW Vitas, and immediately accused you because of that alone.

I am surprised this and the PS3 issue haven't gotten more attention at this point. I have messaged a few outlets and other people about this, but no one seems particularly interested in making a blog post, article or video about it. I remember the whole thing with several PS3 games not being able to download patches for a while got a considerable amount of attention, but maybe that's just because everyone was more doom and gloom back then in general because the PS3 and Vita stores had been announced to close later this year.

The problem is that they stated that you would be able to download any purchased titles and we are seeing that it is entirely false. Right now playing any digital games on my vita or ps3 is dead. This is clearly bad customer service. If Microsoft can allow older games to be played, Sony can also for what they charge for PSN+ membership. I don't have any physical games for my vita I have all digital games as I bought primarily for persona/final fantasy and sword art online games. But when I cannot even download them which. They really have gone down hill. In my case I have never let my membership for psn+ lapse and still cannot download. It is sad that none of the big gamers really care about this especially Spawn Wave as they are big on retro gaming.
